A thing that scared me as a kid was when I put in a Warner’s Brothers dvd and there was a anti-piracy warning told through the wizard of oz and the wizard screaming at the characters at you telling you not to pirate that crap made me run into my parents room and come out when I thought it was done
I was scared of the Wizard of Oz commercial in general. I hated how Oz just suddenly jump scares you and screams at the people.

Devistators balls scared me as a child in the cinema when I saw ROTF like I thought they were gonna crush me...

I thought those balls were stupid as a child. They weren't scary.
That is some Freudian level stuff right there.
killerizza XD LOL😂 until you notice it was just a movie.
killerizza wait till they bust and wait for the white liqu-
Parents who consider "shut up" or "stupid" bad words are low-key dumb. I had so many of my friends all the way to 4th grade repeat that to me. It's ridiculous
My mother doesn't want me to say "shut up" or "stupid" anymore, I've been saying it casually for nearly a decade now but out of nowhere she doesn't want me to talk like that anymore. I'm not a kid anymore.
Some kid in the second grade tried to tell on me because I said crap
Crap isn’t a swear
They are rude.

Well he meant as in only for fans of horror.
It's not even that scary, just weird
One thing that _really_ scared my cousin and I when we were kids was an episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender called "the library" mainly due to when the owl spirit gets angry. He lets out loud screeches while lunging at the main characters with a creepily stretched out neck
Owls naturally do that to look bigger. It's to ensure the enemy either A. Freezes in fear. B. Panic's and runs to a easy caught area.
For me it was the Swamp episode and the scene where Aang was chasing that vision of a little girl, I was certain it was a trap by some big monster that would get him killed. Scared me so much I stopped watching the show entirely and only now catching up via DVD boxset I bought on holiday (Same region code)
fear of pyramids darkest years daycare that will cause children that they keeps going transylvania when she Doesn't need anything like

I honestly found the scene where the reflection is the ghost scarier than the cast actually being possessed by the ghosts. (If you watched the Sonic X episode, you will understand.)
Good to know I'm not the only one who was freaked out by that Sonic X episode
Your not alone
Dorito Face I wasn't really freaked out by that episode in particular. When Sonic went into Dark Sonic in S3, that's when I got scared
Dorito Face I clicked out of YT when I saw that like my dad left me.
God those designs alone look fucking terrifying
I can totally see Amy stalking Sonic like that, though.
I got scared as a kid when skywarp wasn't in a new transformers series.

The ghost light scared the ever living HELL out of me when I was a kid, glad to see i'm not alone.
Finally someone who shares my pain. Also on the subject WHO THE HELL AT PIXAR THOUGHT THAT THE SCREAMING BANSHEE WOUDLN"T SCARE KIDS
Same
Old nineties cartoons scared the crap out of me as a kid, and they still do.
Also, Terrorcon Cliffjumper from Transformers Prime crushing that one Vehicon's skull really unsettled me.
AgentK2 oh yeah, I was scared of terrorcon cliffjumper, thanks for reminding me(I'm not being sarcastic, it just that I forgot he scared me)I'm not scared of him anymore
He was really creepy. Also, pretty much the whole of Dark of the Moon scared me, from the Laserbeak assassinations to the slaughter on the streets of Chicago... Almost shocking I still love Transformers stuff so much now (mind you, this stuff doesn't scare me anymore either, it DID though)
Ghost Freak also scared me as a kid😨 I feel you man
Me: *peels skin off peach before eating*
Mario: confused pikachu face
Luigi: *confused screaming*
Bowser: "Oh yeah that's hot. Can I have a bite?"
Had to think of this for a good 5 seconds before getting it 🤣🤣🤣
AHHHH
Mama Mia that’s a cursedcomment
The one most terrifying thing to me as a kid: Pokémon Ruby - Drought theme. I literally didn't even play pokémon, i still don't really. It would never leave my head.
Yeah I remember watching DYE fantasy when I was 9 as well.
The reason I saw it was for the following reasons
1. I was a fan of final fantasy and loved playing the games on my old SNES (which I still own)
2. Because I was actually raised in Japan for 4 year of my life and when I came to American I need to watch anime on a tv streaming website or UA-cam.
I should have just stuck to watching Gundam Wing or played some random flash game online.
dye didnt really scare me, more disturbed me as a kid (was 10 when i watched it), i saw the whole thing through and went "ooooooookay", and ever since havent watched it again, i completly forgot about it till bolt made this list
Garfeild
What is dye fantasy even about like I don't understand
Oh, My, God I had that sonic X episode on a DVD, and remembering myself never wanting to watch an episode that involved ghosts, so recently I was going to rewatch it to see what was so scary but never got around to do so. After watching this video I don't blame myself AT ALL for being so terrified!

Hoo boy, this is gonna be a long one...
When I was around 5 or 6, one of my favourite things to do was watch my older brother play video games. He played some games I vaguely remember like Sonic Heroes, but my favourite game to watch him play was the Silent Hill series. I was...a very stupid child, I know. But despite the game *not* being for my age range in any way or being terrified of the things in the game like some big armed monster stabbing you in SH3 and a bathtub filling the room with blood and killing you, I loved the game series.
Until one day.
My older brother was on UA-cam, looking at some Silent Hill stuff, so naturally I watched with him. I was a bit older now, about 9 or so. I remember we were looking up boss battles in Silent Hill 4 and at this stage Asphyxia and Scarlet (at least I think it was Scarlet, I remember getting scared of a bloody monster with sharp teeth) scared the shit out of me enough.
Then there was the big kicker. The scene where the protagonist is talking to his dad who has his hands chained to both sides of a hallway. After finishing the conversation, the Pyramid Head shows up out of nowhere behind the dad and *slices him in half.* I remember screaming and covering my face with my hands, refusing to watch anymore. After that, every night when I'd go to sleep I'd lie down, look directly above me so I could see in all directions and quickly pull the covers over my head, lie on my side and cover my face and chest with both arms. Some nights I'd even cry and refuse to sleep because of the Silent Hill zombies. (yes young me called them zombies, don't ask because I don't know) This went on for _several_ years. I'm much older now, so I'm no longer scared and still love Silent Hill, but I still do my strange little routine whenever I sleep without even thinking about why.
TLDR: Young me got scarred for many years after seeing Pyramid Head slice a man in half, and developed a weird sleeping habit because of it that I still do to this day.
The two things that freaked me out the most as a kid were the movie The Mummy and HIM from the Powerpuff girls TV show. Both freaked me out for reasons I still don't quite understand.
The scariest thing is when a bunch ironhides jumped me while spontaneously shouting their names
Oh, yeah, I've heard about that. I've been jumped by all those Ironhides as well, They screamed "ARN-HAAD" into my ear, so it would be difficult to call 911, and then stole five hundred dollars.
Db: I DIDN'T KNOW BLOOD CAME FROM THERE
me: yep oooh you meant the mouth
Random Bro good night everybody 😆
I used to go to church when I was younger. However, the very thing that made me stop going was a video or movie they played for us. I don't remember what it was called, or what it was completely about since I was very young.
Basically, it was of a puppet going to church I think, and they were eating what I can remember were probably M&Ms. At least, that's what they looked like to me. But there was the scene where the character dropped them into water. I don't know why, but seeing this scene just freaked me the flip out. Maybe it was just the steam that the water created or the characters confusion, but I remmebr being so scared, I ran out of church crying and ran to my house, since my house was practically right beside it.
You saw that video too, I thought I was the only one!!! That messed me us as a kid.
@@AM-Axo What video?
The “Mater And The Ghostlight” short just brought back so many memories of when I couldn’t sleep at night as a kid because it scared the shit out of me until I had completely forgotten it’s existence

If it makes you feel better, when I was a kid, I was scared of Micheal Bay. I'm not joking, I literally was.
I was scared of his name and his movies. I don't even know why to be honest.
+T Challa Nostalgia Critic actually made a joke about those two being the most horrifying pair of directors...and to be honest, he's not wrong, and neither are you. Let's pray that Hollywood NEVER puts them together...
So as a kid diamond bolt was scared of red and black so he needs to not meet harley Quinn or he will scream
+T Challa Sorry for the late reply, but that's what I think it could be. Seriously, his name gave me literal nightmares for som reason.
MaintenancePrime Dem explosions
MaintenancePrime The thing that scared the hell out of me was the Luigi's Mansion Beta Game Over screen
DyE fantasy is like that scene from Stranger things, where barbara gets kidnapped by the demogorgan...
but instead of the timid girl being taken by the monsters to the evil dimension, it's the girl jumping into the pool to escape the monsters that cause her to go to the evil dimension...
EDIT: also, as the video is possibly meant to represent teen innocence and loss of it through sex, it's ironic that diamondbolt probably lost his own sence of innocence through the video
Still not as scary as the beast though.
though being serious, the thing that scared me the most (besides being shown the K-fee ad as a child, as well as the jesus video with him being hit by the bus) was some sort of weird power lines PSA they showed at my school. It freaked the fuck out of me, and pretty much put me to tears
K fee ad and jesus video the kcuf
That power lines PSA was reviewed by the Nostalgia Critic in his commercials special two years ago, wasn't it?

14:15 Holy shit this is the one thing I actually watched and remember from this list! This was definitely a really dark fucking episode, but oddly enough, I remember finding myself coming back to it until I began having nightmares of my own. That was a thing for me, I was fascinated by the creepy stuff in my cartoon shows, but eventually they’d begin giving me nightmares so I stopped watching them.
I'm pretty embarrassed to admit this but one of my most memorable fears as a kid was a Will Smith song...
My brother had a WS album and on that album was a song called 'Nightmare on my street'. I was hugely terrified of Freddy Kruger being as I was only like 5 years old and the way that song depicts Freddy being real and actually trying to kill Will Smith was just mind breakingly scary to me
noooo not will smith
Dude i love that song. i was just listening to it today.

Here in Italy that Pinocchio movie is actually a miniseries. And it's considered the best adaptation of the book, really beloved.
I have it all on DVD, and I'd be willing to translate and give english subtitles for it to be put on Netflix.
Thing that scared me was the tmnt 2012 version. Its the monster episodes, which had vampires and just seeing your favorite heroes(in a half shell) becoming vampires was too much for me so i never watched them

the most scariest thing that scared me was one video called One shall stand...(WFC Final) there was a guy that played it and he keeps dying with Optimus Prime and it reminded me of Optimus dying in the 1986 movie man that video was scary as hell still gives me nightmares man

When I was little the skeleton face in Lego racers scared me. Idk why now that I’ve played the game again, I don’t remember why I was scared of it.
I remember I was scared of the skeletons faces in the clutch powers movie
I remember seeing this old Pinocchio movie while visiting Florida. All I remember is that Pinocchio looked creepy, and that at the end when he becomes human he just immediately decided to ask “Make me a girlfriend.” Like, what? He like just got turned into a child.
I think it's called something like "The Adventures of Pinocchio" it was from the 90s and he's a weird CGI wooden puppet instead of a traditional cartoon... I didn't care for it of course,it was very creepy and unsettling

At about two or three years old, I had a dream that I was on an escalator, but I got stuck at the bottom where you get off and it _pulled me under_. When I came back out of the top, I was just a mangled, bloody mess of meat and flesh with a single, twitching arm coming out of the pile of muscle. From then to the age of 14, I wouldn't go anywhere near an escalator for fear of ending up like I did in that dream.
You were a messed-up toddler.
I know.
When i was 5 i had a night terror where a horrifying man grabbed me ate my face then went after my sister and until i was 7 i wouldnt even go near people if i couldnt clearly see there face
I once had a dream I was drowning in a pool of black sludge and I couldn't see anything. I floundered and flailed around in the sludge for what felt like the longest time before I woke up and found there was a pillow smothering my face.
How could you think of that at 2 or 3 years old???!!!!!
In the Ben 10 episode "best day ever" had the dream sequence of the forever knight were he won against Ben and got the omnitrix which flipping scared me so god damn much especially with the dark lighting, now this is one of my faviouret episodes because of the great consept.
when you bring up dye fantasy

Ye bro man who ever made that was messed up
Ew. I’m kinda a “fan” of horror. Hell, I grew up with shows like Scooby-Doo and Goosebumps. That includes AHS as of now. But fortunately I’m not ever going to watch this dye fantasy abomination. It was that disturbing.
*"SCREW YOU. SEE YOU IN HELL."*
That part killed me.
3:59 Oh shit, I _remember_ that comic!
Me: I’m scared of clowns
Diamonbolt: I’m scared of the power puff girls
I used to be afraid of the Powerpuff Girls episode where they “rescued” a whale and it dried up in their house. I didn’t remember it for like 18 years until I was watching PPG again just a few months ago and practically had a ‘nam flashback when I saw it
Don't watch number 1?
Well shit. I already saw it before I watched this video, and I can safely say I share your shock and traumatization from it.
Red Geist so what is it beacues I am scared to watch it
Maybe it's just because I've seen The Thing like a million times as a child, but I feel like I'm the only one who never found that video particularly scary.
Me too and I wish I haven't seen it
I had many things that scared me when I was young, from Invader Zim to my mother's favorite horror films. But something I've been thinking about a lot lately is the villains from my all-time favorite show, Tron: Uprising. Almost all of them were pure evil. There was Clu, the main villain of the series who was rarely seen but was still a large threat. There was General Tesler, a silver-tongued tyrant who would kill you if you so much as touched him, and also had a habit of growling whenever he was angry. There was Dyson, a sinister creature with a vacuum's name and a virus's voice, who's past actions nearly turned Tron himself into a vengeful monster. And then there was Pavel... who was basically The Joker without the laughs.
I was only 12 when I watched Tron: Uprising the first time. I had never seen villains like these people. The day I saw them was the day I realized what fear truly felt like... what evil really looked like.
No, no problem, that sonic episode literally promoted itself into my nightmares on anything scary.
Thankfully I would add Sonic X Sonic’s Scream Test on my 10 disturbing episodes of kids cartoons list.
The Were-Rabbit Scene is scary to me since It disturbing to see a character going through a painful transformation and turn into a monster
I remember the close shave short scaring the crap out of me as a kid.
This. 3:24, That was my first non kid friendly, Transformers comic I ever read. As my own introduction to Transformers were Armada and it is a lot kid appealing from beginning, I thought comics were like it too but this showed me closer to G1 style and darker side of Transformers. Good job Bolt for digging these out, instant Cybertronian Vietnam flashbacks inbound.
The very last one listed, I remember my brother making me watch while him recording my reaction. I had a dead expression for the most part and a few twitches near the end. It grossed me out but got through it okay. My brother deleted the recording because I didn't get a good reaction.
OMG That wererabbit thing scared me too! Particularly that one scene were Wallace and a rabbit touch heads in that machine. Scary stuff.

First you liked Cars,
then you saw Ghost Light Matter and hated Cars
and then came Cars 2.
I totally agree on your stance of the Cars Franchise.
And now Cars 3 :D
I was always scared of the Scooby doo series called mystery incorporated. I get chills when I am alone and the outro plays. The monsters are still scary even tho I have matured.
You found it! You found the scary pool thing that gave me nightmares for years!! I thought I was imagining it!
Ben 10 wasn't something I watched when I was in the age group for it. But when my younger brother started watching the original series I would watch it over my shoulder while playing video games on the computer. But I do remember even despite being in my early teens being incredibly unsettled by Ghost freak during those episodes when he was possessing Gwen or anyone else.
Ah sonic x the good Saturday's at grandmas
Good ol 5th grade Saturday mornings
Oh yeah
I can confirm that XD. I remember my brother waking me up early to watch it and afew other cartoons that were on 4kids at the time. The two channels that typically had cartoons were that and Qubo. Also no at my grandparents house we couldn't watch cartoon network, Nickelodeon, or anything like that. I think it's obvious what we preferred XD.
I can relate to the Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit as well, as that movie scared me as a kid. I remember it so well.
For some reason I was more scared of “spooky audio” rather than images. I’m weird.

I remember I was scared of literally anything horror or creepypasta related, like Slenderman, Jeff the Killer, FNAF, etc. These days it only gives me chills, but back in the day I was actually scared to move a milimeter of my body in bed at night, thinking that pretending to be alseep is the only thing keeping me alive.
Worst thing was, I usually did sleep through the entire night, but sometimes I had to pee at midnight, and I remember just building up the courage in myself so I could turn on the light.
Damn, those were scary times for me.
Fnaf scared me too
Same. Except I grabbed a bat from my room
I watched DYE fantasy
Watched it a few times
It was not too bad the fifth time around
Once you said it a huge wave of nostalgia came through me
One thing I was scared of was from a video game... it was cars. There was a minigame where you had to tip the tractors while avoiding the spotlights and Frank the combine. Whenever my mum was playing it and when she got caught by Frank I would literally run and hide behind a chair and sometimes I would cry 😨😥
I used to laugh at frank in cars 1 when i was 3 or 4
I know what game your talking about. Frank never scared, only shivered. The actual scene in the movie I wasn't scared of because Mater looked like he was having fun to me so it made me laugh
I was really terrified of the episode of Arthur where they all got head lice. I don't know why I was so scared of it, probably the talking head lice. I used to leave the room when the show came on and make my mom tell me if it was the head lice episode or not. I was also terrified of A Promise Is A Promise by Robert Munsch. Those things pulled that girl under the ice and wanted to keep her there. The fact that I didn't know how to say their name made them even more scary. It still creeps me out a little.
Abbie Henderson I used to get creeped out by a lot of Arthur episodes when I watched the show, usually because of the dreams
Once I watched a Winnie and the Pooh movie revolving around the backson. Some guy left and gave a letter saying he would be “back soon” but he misspelled it and it said backson. They thought it was a monster and they were scared and I was even more.
When I was younger I would watch my dad play a couple different games on our wii, I'd even get to help him some times like with mario galaxy, but my favorite one to watch was Skyward Sword (anyone who played probably knows where this is going) right up to the point we got to the silent realms...
That terrifying music thumping in the background is even worse then the guardians in botw! At least you could kill those ones!! The only thing you could do here was run the f*ck away as you watch the circles that indicated there position get bigger and bigger as they closed in on you and it's still bad when it's quiet cause there's still the tension and stress as you watch the petals slowly fall off your timer flower and know those horrible masked things are gonna wake up and murder you with their sharp blades!
Wait... dinosaurs, cars to anime and transformers... diamond bolt... I'm becoming you!!!!
My brother too!
Jay Tait I loved dinosaurs and cars when I was little too
I still love cars
From video games, the scariest thing was the SA-X from Metroid Fusion no question. Partly due to me sucking at video games at the time, but the SA-X was something you are told from the beginning, "Don't even think of fighting this thing, you'll get wrecked. If you see it, run for the hills." The closest thing that resembled something like the SA-X was the Hunter Necromorph from Dead Space 1 (before Dead Space 3 threw 5 of them at you at once and you could handle them with ease so I'm numb to them now, also turret section).
EDIT: Now that I've watched the entire video I admit that I accidentally stumbled upon the #1 choice while browsing Facebook I think, and I almost immediately knew what you were talking about even though I never knew the title of the video. I definitely agree with you DB, don't look it up. It's pretty disturbing body horror.
Being killed by Mr Slam in Twisted Metal 2 on the ps2. His Tractor looked like it was alive. King Ramses episode of Courage The Cowardly Dog, and in Mortal Kombat 4 Gold, when you fell down the pit with that eerie music.
That Sonic X episode haunted my nightmares as a kid for many years! Those faces are a definition of childhood fear.
Another person who loves but is also scared of the Cars, especially the ghost light (and the tractor tipping scene)!
Look at cutesey wutesey diamond bolt with his cars
That was also me as a kid. were you a fan of cars as a kid, just curious?
1:32 I'm sure that you're experiencing some sort of Mandela effect (if you don't know what is it google it)
Georgi Spiroff u mean false memories that might happened to few people
I was super young when I found that horrifying video. I just recently refound it after being afraid of it for years. Still creeps me out but at the time I thought I found some cursed crap that would haunt me for the rest of my life at the time.
So this video introduced me to the Dye Fantasy song which became a staple at the end of my last school year and brings me really nostalgia from last year. Cheers Diamondbolt!
Although my memories of it are vague, I was absolutely terrified of Monster Ock from the Spider-Man Nintendo 64/PlayStation game.
God dammit Superion, pulling a Iron Giant on us
Except he doesn't come back...
diamond bolt you say topic of the choice
I remember that video actually, I found it cool. I always had an eye for the macabre, though I didn’t understand it at the time. I don’t feel it is disgusting, it’s actually very adult and mature. The way it explores the themes of growing up, sex, dating, etc with body horror is actually really creative
Camp Fear and the Ben Mummy was scary as hell. But Z’Scare was the worst of it. God I used to have nightmares about it.
which ones that? i can’t remember lol
I like your honest inclusion of specifics surrounding each of your childhood horrors, like how you couldn't find the #10 entry but still remember being terrified by the opening, and how you still chose not to watch D.Y.E. Fantasy even for the sake of this video. It provides a more "down to earth" sense of nostalgia, and it makes me look back at some similar childhood memories of my own and find myself more easily relating to your experiences as a result.
Salad Fingers. Saw this a month ago. I'm 15. Scared the hell out of me. Look it up.
I'm 15, watched that at 13-14, not scary
I like rusty spoons
I was also for some reason scared of a combination of the colors red and black. Specifically of a sign of a pizza restaurant/arcade chain here in the U.S. called Shakey's. I have no idea why, but whenever I went by the sign i just got scared.
16:09 i vaigly remember watching that as a kid and i didnt understand what was happening.
I think i saw it on a reaction channal i think
Before I watched number one, I was like;
"Oh DiamondBolt, you are such a scary cat"
After watching number one;
"Oh, I glad I'm not the only one that saw that as a kid and got traumatized by it"
Is that..the Amy one
I didn't really see many scary things as a child (aside the fact that I found VERY quickly how fucked up humans can be) but one thing I found quite scary was the Biolizard from Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. OH. MY. GOD. It's freakishly long neck, its creepy, spine-chilling music (especially the beginning part), it's roars and freaky abilities, all of it was unsettling to me. Don't even get me started on that water it always sat in, which could carry you to death if you're not careful enough. Even worse was that it's color scheme reminded me of Shadow, which is correct since this thing is basically Shadow's unfinished "brother". Surprisingly, I found Finalhazard much less creepy. Probably because I felt empowered enough to beat it since Sonic and Shadow were in their Super Forms.
Mine was a dinosaur called rudy from ice age 3,its white ghostly skin with its hellish glowing eyes, crocodile like jaws and not to mention that until the end of the movie we only saw glimps of its appearance and that time when that thing appeard behind a mist in a flashback with glowing hellish eyes like a demon scared me
Dude, i did see that short when i was a kid. I sepreced that memory, and you just bringed back.god damn you
But also i love you and yoyre the best
In early 2010 when i was 1-2 grader i loved Sonic and my favorite character was Tails Doll after things that i hear and saw. My cousin forced me and my little brother to watch terrifying video about my favorite character what scared the crap out of me. It was about creating Tails Doll and when he was finished he killed Dr.Eggman and escaped and go killing other Sonic characters. My cousin painted bloody Tails Doll to scare me. Well the character gave me many nightmares after this shit. thanks for my cousin!
My dad used to put on some 90s films for us to watch together when I was little in the early 00s. I used to be really frightened of Bigfoot in A Goofy Movie and the nightmare sequence in the opening scene where Max transforms into Goofy. I was also scared of the scene in Snow Dogs where Cuba Gooding Jr. finds out he's "a Eskimo" and he has imagines or dreams about a baby that has his face. It was the concept of the baby having n adult face that freaked me out. I haven't seen that film in its entirety in years because of that scene.
I was scared of that sonic CD music when I was 10
I never saw DYE fantasy as scary but OH MY GOD it is so disturbing especially for someone who is young
