One other helpful tip: Get greymon and the tent as soon as possible. If you use the tent, it acts as a bathroom, a tent for resting and kitchen. The kitchen is the most important aspect as when you cook for the digimon, not just does does it give more benefits, but it also makes it to where you only use one of each required ingredient in order to feed both digimon instead of requiring one ingredient per digimon. So 1x grilled steak feeds both digimon whereas one meat (the ingredient required for the grilled steak) only feeds one digimon.
@@agizmogamer Greymon is found in the Server Graveyard right after you enter Server Desert from Nigh Plains. The city needs to be upgraded. I'm not sure if the shop needs to be level 2 or not, but that one is easy to get to that level.
Got this yesterday. The initial wtfs were legit. But once you get to grips. This is up in my favourite games. Biggest tip: Just take it chill. With basically everything about it. It's just a super calm game with plenty enough going on at the same time.
i loved the whole concept of raising digimons since digimon world 1, it's so mesmerazing. probably the reason i'm such a fan of monster raising games!!
Played DW1 a lot growing up and got back in to it due to RetroAchievements. I went with Normal, because I got this. Tons of DW1 experience. No problem! After beating Patamon and the Bridge Goblimon, I was feeling good. Go on to the next fight, Lv 2. Goblimon. Absolutely bodies both my dudes and I'm just confused. Both have 120ish Str, Sta & Spd and over 1k HP, 800+ MP; for DW1 1st Gen Rookies, these would be overkill numbers going in to your first ModokiBetamon/Dokunemon. Next Order Goblimon are juicers.
I also just got the game and loving it so far! My personal tips to add: 1) When you order your digimon in battle, the move won't consume MP, and is a little stronger. So order them as often as you can! 2) When your digimon is in-training II, you can see the stat requirements for the rookies for free. So you can train the stats you want in the gym to get the rookie you want 3) When training in the gym, landing on any square with an icon/circle gives a 1.25x bonus, it doesn't matter which one. 4) There's a bathroom in the gym!
Played it when it first came out, and lost interest fairly quick. However, I've suddenly regained my childhood love for the franchise. I've become a big collector of the cards and rewatching the anime. Figured I could use this kick to give the game another shot. I obsessively played DW1 as a kid and would honestly prefer a true remaster of it, but this will have to do for now.
A general mistake i find people make as well, is UPGRADE YOUR CITY! I've seen people ask for help with digimon around 10k HP and MP, but still stuck with a lv 1 shop, so they can't get better healing items. Upgrading your city is absolutely essential. If you can, keep something upgrading at all times. Primary focus on the Field, Shops, Restaurant, Hospital, and Fishing Hole. Until you get to a point where you can body the monsters that drop thousands of bits, getting your fishing hole to level 3 will be by far the best way for you to make money. Getting your field to lv 2 or 3 will make any food issues disappear. And Later in the game where you need to farm meat for a couple of quests, it makes life so much easier if you can just set your fields to make it for you. Use the restaurant as often as possible. it will be very expensive, but if you take a day or two of in game time fishing at Hole 3 in town, you can make more money than you could use. Some of the higher level dishes will give you a few thousand HP and MP per in game day and a few hundred in each stat, just by eating at the restaurant. this is especially helpful when your digimon are weak. even more helpful when they are strong and stat gains from fights are falling off. keep in mind if you are having issues with weight requirements for an evolution, there are some dishes in the restaurant that have like -5 or so weight for a meal and you can feed them 2 sometimes 3 times. And others that will give a lot of weight that you can feed a few times as well. Once you have angemon in the hospital, if you are gym training because you prefer it, don't use Gigimon to rest. Go to Angemon and he'll heal almost all of your tiredness for pocket change and only an hour. you can train far more often instead of resting with Gigimon for an hour after every other set. Once you start using Birdramon to get everywhere, make sure you talk to Biyomon occasionally. You get 5 Auto Pilots for every 5 uses of Birdramon. Which means you have a self sustaining supply of Auto Pilots whenever you are using Birdramon. Extremely helpful if you are auto piloting back to town for the restaurant every time they're hungry.
Small thing you missed, if you press L and R at the same time in a fight you can use duel combo attacks AND could even use a fusion which will body pretty much any fight ( tho certain requirements need to be met )
I played Digimon World 1 on PSX and was so excited when I recently found out they basically remade the game. Playing it now and it really improves alot on the original game. Numemon simulator here I come!
Grinding stats in battle is recommended especially on higher difficulty. The game will get very frustrating otherwise bc you spend all your time in the gym and your digis will get very old before you can step out to battle and hence die soon. So your real progression time shrinks down. Battles dont consume time. In the End game you can easily farm your rookies to max stats and then walk through the game by battle grind.
1 very important Tipp: there are Digimon in Town that give u dayli Items, like Koromon in Jijimons Hous or Numemon in front of the Toilet. remember to get them every day
A tip for people who want to rush battle training as fast as possible, learn defense order ASAP and recognize the animation of dangerous attack animations. This and stat buffing items and/or skills will help you fight against digimons well above your digimons' strength.
You don't receive new Digi-eggs so much as the Digimon you already had go back to being Digi-eggs. So it's technically the same Digimon all through the game, from that first fight against Machine-Dramon and onwards. Also you get to field a ton of different mons because of this, I didn't even know Wizardmon was in the game, I'm definitely going to go for the Twins in the next cycle!
Small addition to the Order Point: Pressing it too soon after issuing a command, like attack or defend, will nullify any contextual boost. While you get the most after landing an attack, or successfully blocking, the surest way to get a high number is to press it as they're getting up from being knocked down. Attacks issued by Order Points also don't cost MP. And as for Egg Inheritance, IIRC, once you've bought all 4, you get 10% of highest that stat has been. Meaning, as long as you've maxed out the stat in at least one lifetime, you're set for subsequent incarnations. But for this reason, I think it's actually better to buy these a bit later on. Better to focus on Skills that can get your stats high in the first place. Great video BTW. I never knew about the sleeping indoors thing.
I think it's more than 10%. Unsure though as i'm only on my 4th generation of Digimon. My 3rd Generation of Digimon died around 3500 stats, and reincarnated with between 700-1000. if it progresses at the same rate, max stats should revive around 2-3,000 base stats..
So about Tip 4, the Training/Gym. You can eventually level up the gym to give way better results. in the very endgame the gym is way way better especially when combined with the food types that buff training at the gym. For early game though a mix of gym and wild battles are good for raising stats. Keep up the good work on the tip/tricks videos.
well i think early game battling also for learning new attack move, havent play game yet but if this like Digimon world 1 or redigitize then attack move can only be learned from compatible enemies
