Watch Dogs Gameplay (With Living CIty Mod)

- I needed to clean my disk space, so I thought it's time to put all I have recorded so far in Watch_Dogs. It's not much for a nearly 1 hour video, since I had 9 months to do more since my last video, but I am a busy person. What you're seeing now for the most part of the video is thanks to The Silver One's mod, Living_City Mod. What he added to the game should've been in the base game in the first place, and hopefully Ubisoft would do better in the third installment.

Here's the instruction of mods I had merged together to make the game stable. Note that this is before the v1.9.4 update, but I haven't gotten to that yet. However, the instruction should still work, since there doesn't seem to be any new additional files added from the update:
Base + Revival = Delete "matcap" folder (patch/graphics/_textures),
"wlu_data_01_theatersquare_dotconnexion_sas.xml.data.fcb" (patch/worlds/windy_city/generated/wlu),
char01 files except coat, head_v2, facial, and mask (patch/graphics//characters/char/char01 [Use head files from Revival 1.1]),
and wpn_p9mm.xbt (patch/ui/fire/sources/textures/nexus_items/weapons).
Revival + Living City = Replace Revival ui folder with only Base ui folder + Living City ui folder. Add the px4 texture to weapon folder.
Leave the ui's font folder alone.
Living City + Kadzait24's = Use whatever cameracontext.lib you like.
Living City + Variety = Add Density, Script, Timecycle (with 30 sec, realistic), and optinal medium DOF v3.
How to edit windy_city.game.xml (patch/worlds/windy_city/generated):
1) Edit by placing the file into Gibbed folder.
2) Hold shift and right click on the file explorer window and open PowerShell window.
3) Type ".\Gibbed.Disrupt.Convertxml --xml windy_city.game.xml".
4) Edit windy_city.xml.
5) After edited, type ".\Gibbed.Disrupt.Convertxml --rml windy_city.xml" in PowerShell.
6) Rename the windy_city_converted.rml to windy_city.game.xml.
7) Return file into folder before.

Ok, it’s amazing I’ve tried it. Not a huge fan of the 24/7 rain is there anyway you could take it out? The only reason I’m not a fan is because of the clear skies, it just doesn’t look right in the day. As well as this the headlights on cars seem to be glitched. Sorry to nitpick and I really appreciate you putting this mod up, it looks so good!
Dangle Berries The headlights are intentional. It’s one of the few gripes people have with Revival, but I didn’t mind. In fact, because of the rain, it looks appealing. I am not going to change it since this merge is meant to represent the first E3 2014 demo, and taking it out would not be faithful. It is an artistic preference you will have to respect.
Thank you so much for making this mod merge! Just wondering, why is it always raining? It makes the graphics look great but can become annoying after time. Maybe make a dry version?
Hugh Hawkes/ Make America British Again Funny enough, some of them were taken before living city. So no, I don’t have a dry version and don’t plan to. It’s my artistic preference that should be respected. Clear weather is fine, but the rain makes it ten times better.

I’m a huge WD1 fan and I wish I had a PC for this… I play WD1 on PS4 but this needs to be in the game on all devices.
Get a PC man. Not saying right now or even this year. But at some point get one. They aren't cheap, but you can find deals. Hell I got my current desktop used for $800. It has a 3070 and I can run basically every game at good settings on a 1440p Ultrawide monitor.
Most all of us PC players came from consoles. Hell a lot of us still own consoles. But having a PC has some really cool advantages. One that you don't often hear about is how much cheaper games are. You're going to want to own every game you can on Steam. But you don't necessarily have to buy those games through Steam. There's 3rd party key sites. A lot of times an older game may cost $19.99 on PlayStation or Steam. But through a 3rd party it will be like $4. You copy that key, paste it into steam and it's 100% identical to buying it on steam in the first place.
Seriously at some point when you get the chance checkout PC. It's slightly more complicated but it gets simpler by the year and it's really easy nowadays. If you can get a powerful PC an ultrawide or 21:9 monitor offers a really immersive experience that separates itself from consoles. Run really high framerates (144fps and up) which makes competitive shooters extremely responsive and have smooth motion. Then you can of course mod games and get them for really cheap.
For the games checkout gg (dot) deals. isthereanydeal (dot) com as well. IDK why I felt compelled to rant lol. But people think you need to spend $2000 on a PC setup, you don't. Plus beyond the cheap games Epic gives away 1 or 2 games free every week, no strings. I probably have 40 legit, desirable, AAA games that I own for free forever. Just from setting a reminder and making a couple clicks every Thursday.

Thanks! But the worse was when I realized they changed the checkpoint because I got spotted. I wasted all those time going to a destination that no longer exist.

if WD1 gets a remaster on its 10th anniversary they should just make it this. and y'know maybe make more DLC. (play as Jordi or Clara, maybe a map extension or Saint Louis DLC after the main game)

Yep, it’s not just the Living_Mod. I’m also using some pieces of the Revival Mod and Packaged Mod. I don’t think “Packaged Mod” is the right name (don’t remember), but I found it on Nexus Mod. It basically gives you multiple mod files that you can add to the patch.dat individually. Other than that, merging them with the Living_Mod was Hell as some of their aspect would break the game, so you have to be careful.
@@atlasprime6193 nice, I believe it was a hard work to get it into this state as it is on video, I also spent few sleepless night in front of screen to mod some games, too, copying, deleting, tweaking files. I have only one question. In this video, you got 99 items and 999 ammo in guns. I am playing it with Living_Mod only, I have older gaming laptop so I am happy that it runs, so I am not bothering to get it more mods. But infinite ammo and items would be good, so I dont have to care for making items like scans, frags, and whatever game get me later. Just enjoy this game.
edit: So I wanted to ask if it is mod or trainer for ammo and items, and which one, I would be so apreciate for this info.
Patrick_23 Sorry for the late reply, just flew out of my head for some reason.
Anyway, infinite items and focus of those kind were done through trainers. As stated in the beginning of the video, trainers are used for the sake of entertainment and demonstration of the mods. I recommend WeMod, which is what I was using, since it’s community is friendly, safe, and nothing sinister unlike some other trainer websites that may contain viruses.
@@atlasprime6193 Thanks. I found WeMod for 1st time few days ago and it is awesome! Lot of trainers have viruses in them. This app have lot of games to choose and play them with trainers, no need to download anything to your PC and it is safe.
Also I combined this living_city mod with enhanced reality config tool, because I have a weaker PC and it have a problem with daytime and shadows, so I choose to have only stormy weather all time, so I got almost no shadows, reflecting roads, because of water, high textures instead of medium and now the game runs smooth for me. But it was pain in the ass to get it run, decrypting files, false try with many bugs, all of that, so I want to make a video tutorial how to install it. Anyway, thanks for your response.

This looks amazing, only thing is the depth of field during game makes Aiden feel nearsighted, everything is so blurry, is this something that can be toggled on and off?
Yes it can be toggled off. I didn’t like it either
i always turn off motion blur and depth of field when gaming

That technically can still be canon, all of the factions use fixers to do their work even the black viceroys before they got wiped
@@worldburnerbreadman7886 it's weird since the actual game itself even makes this error a few times in the Fixer contracts where it tells you to "escape the Club" when you're just escaping Viceroys and even the Militia

What other mods are you running? This doesn't look like just Living_City, the graphics, coat physics, animations and font are not a part of the Living_City.

Hi, sorry to bother you again but I just love how your version of the game looks. Could you send me a link to a copy of your patch.dat, patch.fat and Living City Config files. Sorry if I’m being a pain in the arse I just really want my game to look like yours. I tried following the description but it’s way too complicated for me! 😂
That’s because the instructions requires you to go through a walkthrough first on how to edit the patch.dat file first. Just look it up online. Once you get a sense on where to go, just start downloading the required program and mods. Essentially, the patch.dat and patch.fat are the core of the game. Once you unpack patch.dat, you can edit it to your liking to change the game. However, even I don’t know what’s what, but what’s important is that the instruction I provided showed specific files from each mods’ unpack patch.dat that will need to be added into the original unpack patch.dat. Order of the instruction is important too, so make sure you followed which mods to carry over first before moving on to the next. Once done, you repack the patch.dat file and you’ll be provided with a patch.fat file as well. Both of them will replace the original patch.dat and patch.fat files, so make sure you back up the originals first.
And I can’t send you the files because I don’t know how, and I wouldn’t want to share emails for privacy sake. Sorry. I’m working on uploading them to Nexus, but with the outbreak and college I have to deal with, it’ll take some time. Plus, I’m not sure when the next living city update will come, because I’m behind by one update, and since I haven’t played Watch Dogs since the last summer, it’ll be difficult for me to to relearn and update my files again.

Heatwave619 When I’ve asked other Watchdogs modders to send me their patch files I think they did it through either Google Drive or Megashare, you can literally send it in a link through UA-cam comments or put it in your video description. It would save you from being accused of stealing others content on the nexus.

How do you tell if the mod is installed correctly? I did all according to the guide, copied all files and replaced, but still insure
check your weapon wheel. you should have only one weapon per slot except the gadgets

Why is it I can't spawn bodyguards? I read your other comment about the bodyguard and so I turned my trainer off, but once I did and got back to the game, It says "Unavailabe during Missions" even though no mission was being played, I tried with a 100% save file but no luck. Any fix?

just have one question though,whenever i did that random events involve a gang hideout,when i arrived at the target location the game just say grid connection lost and i can't locate the target so i was force to leave the location and the mission failed. Is this normal? If not,how can i fix it?
That’s part of the event challenge. You’re cut off from CTOS, so you have to rely on your own wits to figure out where the target is.

Backup your original patch.dat and patch.fat files. Look up on how to mod watch dogs and you’ll see why.

DragFire The only time that happens is when I’m using a trainer for unlimited resource. Deactivate that fixes it. Other than that, there’s no possible way for this bug to occur in my merge, therefore the problem comes from your end.

DragFire What, read my comment again, I never said anything about the trainer being the one to summon bodyguard. Just that it gave me unlimited resources/items to craft and that affected the mod badly. I was using WeMod.

Mods are only for pc, the console port cant be modded sadly.
