2024 who’s here ?
Arguably one of the greatest blues pieces in the modern era
l agree, took me along time to finally find ,because the the first time l heard it was on the movie Abouna(Our Father),Fantastic Song.
Agree !!
Super cool awesome piece of music… but inarguably not one of the top 1000 greatest blues pieces in the modern era. It’s traditional Malian African Songhay drone.
Just because Ry Cooper breaks out his slide and sits in with the band, doesn’t make it blues… neither do the monikers “African Blues” or “Desert Blues.”
Very cool great music, but a completely different genre.
This song got it the blues me
I saw his son play this live! I almost died it was so good.
This song is so awesome , that I’m getting goosebumps all over my skin , this is what African blues is all about.
3 years late but kin I feel it
some of the worlds best music Ali and Ry ....thank you forever
The whole album is tip top...every cut.
Ali & Ry ... What a magnificent match
💔 RIP Ali... I always enjoy to listen it 10 times in a loop.
Best of the best ever african blues
I like the sadness and sorrow in this masterpiece
Don't understand anything ... But deeply soo much emotional n divinely voice... Tune is excellent
Je connais AFT depuis une trentaine d'année. Même si je ne comprends pas les paroles, qu' importe, la musique, la mélodie est là et c est ce qui compte. Superbe !
I agree!
A classic!! Wonderful piece and wonderful album ! Timelessly beautiful and evocative music...
this hits right in soul
Diaraby je t'écoute jusqu'au sommeil ;les hommes passent et pourtant Ali Touré Farka reste toujours avec moi à travers cette merveille

WE LOVE YOU BOTH IN TRANSYLVANIA !!! MAY THE LORD BLESS YOU FOR MORE MUSIC. THANK YOU !!!
Absolutely Amazing!
What a masterpiece 💯🔥💯
This song has a very distinct Irish drone with the tap meter of an Irish step dance running throughout. Very complicated… very amazing !
I think that's Djembe drums.
Good Music. Anyone listening 2020
Bought it when it first came out. played it ever since.
I was travelling years ago in Morocco and I walked past a booth in Essouira playing the Ali Farka track and I had to have it. It summed up how I felt when I was there, I bought the CD but I never knew who it was until now as I searched for it again while all my music is in storage... it has a sound like nothing else, love the sounds of Africa, seems Ry Cooder agrees....
Discovered Ali farka toure this year and I’ve been like where have I been all the while. He’s a maestro. Ali’s songs have inspected me to visit all west African countries in 2021. Africa is just too blessed !!

Somebody have the lyrics of this wonderful song? Please.
What do you have my darling?
Tell me what you got.
It is you alone that I love.
Was it your mother who told you not to marry me because I'm poor? And yet it is you that I love.
Did your father tell you not to marry me because I'm poor? And yet it is you that I love.
Did your friends tell you not to marry me because I'm poor? And yet it is you that I love.
Don't get angry, don't cry, don't worry about love.
Great dp, brother. The Theosophical Society really knew how to put out a good art series.
@@maigaalhader9845 Must be a tradicional song from that zone 🙏?
