Very important additional information: this doorbell can be integrated with Home Assistant. Makes recording quite a lot easier, and automation as well.
(Automation as in: to ring any chime of your choice that can also be integrated in Home Assistant.)
Nice and clear video, but is is possible to see the person who ‘s ringing the doorbell ,without having the pop up, on iPad or iPhone . So some kind of stream video ? I want to have a pop up image on my iPad when somebody is ringing the doorbell .
This will be very useful feature, did you come up with something?
how does the chime fit into the equation? From your review this appears as a device that offers a camera operating at a press of a button, but what about the chime that triggers like a doorbell is supposed to.
Hi hope you can help me. I don't have any Unifi products yet and would like to purchase this doorbell. Would you recommend the Cloud Key G2 Plus or the Dream Router UDR? I believe the doorbell can work with either.
Hi, i only have unifi UDM (not the pro), can i adopt the g4? I hope so, i know i cannot store video, but i can see live images.
Sorry don’t think this is doable UniFi Protect needs to be installed

I've had the G4 Doorbell Pro for a few weeks now and I find it mind boggling that such an expensive doorbell is not capable of actually "Ringing" my phone. Instead it just sends a "Notification", which can easily be missed, especially if you keep your phone on silent.
Ubiquiti confirmed this is all it's capable of doing for now.
I've had 3 other Smart Doorbells and ALL of them can "Ring" their relevant smartphone apps. Over priced beta product! 🫥
Dont use th Pro personally but my standard Unifi Doorbell does ring on my phone
