What are some of the BEST or WORST buses, trains or other modes of travel you have taken and WHERE? To be honest, we are new to bus travel and never sure what to expect in new countries. Sometimes just the bus stations feel chaotic and anxiety inducing! LOL

Great video Guys! We did the Saranda to Tirana one and almost did the Tirana to Kotor but changed our travel plans last minute. Thanks for sharing what it looked like, I have been curious and it looks pretty smooth. It's always interesting to see the differences from one bus company to another. Beautiful drive for sure. Our worst bus trip was from Tam Coc to Sapa (Vietnam) on a sleeper bus by far. Cheers Chris and Jim😀

Thanks guys! The drive through the mountains in Albania was definitely unexpectedly beautiful. You guys are brave!! The Vietnam sleeper bus sounds like somewhere that I don't want to sleep LOL. But I am sure it makes for a great story now!! 😂

We love train travel as well. Especially in Europe and even better if its a bullet train, but that was not an option to get us to Saranda! Bus or hire private transfer. We went for the bus option for cost and adventure! LOL

The new North & West & Southwest terminal is being built at the northern side of that parking lot. That is where the train station that would be coming from the airport and from Durres will be as well. It should be ready by the summer season or even earlier in May as there are elections being held and they usually have these things done to show how hard they work for the people. This will be the third (actual) bus terminal in in Albania, after Korca's and the one you were earlier at (which started this summer).

Wow, thank you for that information!! That will be quite an improvement (although, for how chaotic it appears, there are helpful people around directing riders to the correct bus and it is actually organized). Albania is certainly doing a lot to improve their infrastructure (especially transportation it seems). We travelled on some very nice, newer roads and highways. Kudos to the efforts for sure although the construction must be frustrating for residents currently. Hopefully its good for everyone and the economy of Albania as well. We will definitely be back to this awesome country, so maybe we will see the new station then! Cheers!

Bus travel gets some getting used to. Some are so much nicer than others! Sometimes you just have to suck it up and think of the budget. Definitely do bathroom reviews!! Men don’t seem to care but it’s different for us I think. Not only in cleanliness but safety. Bus station and train station washrooms can be sketchy to say the least.

It definitely takes some getting used to. Even our Flixbus in Portugal last year ...the bathroom was what I imagine prison bathrooms to be like. I don't even think i have ridden a greyhound in Canada LOL. Thank you for the bathroom review vote! LOL. I am honestly way too familiar with sketchy washrooms!

Did you know there is an app called Flush which finds public washrooms based on your location? We have used it several times and it’s great. It even rates them in some places!

It's not lake Skadar (it's just a Slavic mispronunciation) but Shkoder! Shkoder is the original name since the Illyrian times.

Thank you so much for clarifying. We saw different spelling in different places and we appreciate learning the correct names and pronunciation of places. Especially when you are so kind about it 🙂. Thank you.
