as a person with ADHD, i really appreciate that you took the time to research the topic! for the most part, I can totally see April having ADHD, a lot of her Behavior reflects ADHD, another great video keep it up bestie, your doing great!
May I also point out (And I am not trying to like accuse other people of thinking this, it is an opinion) that April's mom may not be negligent on purpose. From the information we have from the show, her father has not been shown once which could suggest April's mom needs to work a lot. You can also see they live in a small apartment (again i am not attacking anyone here, I am not saying someone can't live in a small apartment with both parents happily.) so this could intel that April's mom is busy and often simply doesn't have time. Now I am not saying this is ok, it doesn't matter what you have going on your child deserves to have you around. Like splinter he isn't excused from being a bad parent in his earlier days but his speculated PTSD is a reason for it. This could explain why April is constantly looking for a job to support her mom but that is just a theory so nothing canon. Anyways the whole reason for this comment is to have a look at April's mom from another perspective and have my own take on her. How did I do?

(I did biggest research in my life) Still I'm not sure even tho I have most of the traits you can see in the person with ADHD) I saw her and I was like "She has ADHD". I love that almost all of the ROTTMNT main characters are either confirmed neurodivergent or can have an argument made for their being neurodivergent, lol, makes me love this show even more (I have ADHD, and I really relate to Rise Mikey/Donnie, they're my brethren, your honor)
I think it threw me off because her behaviour seems so normal. I mean it is normal for her, the people she's closest to & even myself but I think it really comes down to the situations. When you're fighting robots, mutants & magic it's hard to say you're acting too sporadic/intense. (Plus the few times we did see her in a "typical" situation it soon wasn't)

My reasoning as to why I think she lives alone, is because the boys have no qualms about showing up Willy nilly to her place without warning or disguises. 😲 If there was someone else there, they’d be more cautious. 🤫 I think it’s like in high school anime where the students often live alone in those mini 2 story apartments and their parents live in a different city either for work or whatever. But that’s just my theory 😬

What I think is that her mom might be working a job and since April is older, just kind of trusts her with the house while she's gone to work. love ur vids! though, as someone w adhd, i don't rlly understand the point of finding evidence for what caused her adhd? /nm adhd is caused by chemical imbalances in the brain and, as far as im aware, ppl are just born that way w no real external cause, same goes w many other disorders. id personally think that simply analyzing the symptoms she shows is enough evidence as is to say she has adhd cuz that's what irl therapists do- they look at symptoms and can diagnose w/o needing to look for causes (cuz there usually are none) sorry if that was long/wordy! i struggle to concisely explain my thoughts lol. n like i said, i still rlly liked the video and this is a very minor nitpick of mine :] edit: help im so dyslexic there were so many typos JDBFJWBDJDBFJD
