This just makes me want to hang with Home Free. This is my idea of a fun time and they are the kind of people in real life who would be so much fun to be around. There are no half measures with Home Free, when they cover a song, they go all in and kick it to the next level. What a great song. The kind sitting still through is not an option. The funniest part of Chance playing the city slicker is that he probably has the most country background of any of them. Our family consider ourselves hillbillies and we are in Pennsylvania. Loved your reaction.
Loved the original -- without it, we wouldn't have this. Southern, Hillbilly, Redneck -- OK, I can go with any or all :) I'm WV and proud, so...!!! Let's Goooooooo!!! Be Safe
Love your Home Free reactions and especially to this song which is one of my favorites. Especially enjoyed watching the fun you had watching/listening to this because its the same way i feel about it too But as a country raised gal who has raised chickens most of my life gotta say that a dominicker isn't the same as a Barred Rock. You can tell the difference first by their combs. Dominique chickens have a rose comb and Barred Rocks have a single comb. Barred Rocks feathers consist of regular lines of black and white and the Dominique has irregular lines which appear jagged or “V” shaped. Surprised to hear you say that "down here" they call them dominickers. Bet some are Rocks though! Love your reactions and your accent makes me feel like I'm back home.
The funny thing is that Chance is probably the most country, raised in Alabama in the middle of nowhere. Love his awkward nerdy city boy. Also, always forget to tell you that I really like your disclaimer. Thanks Cole. EOV!
Great reaction! Don't know if you have done the family outdoor event at Austin's family farm/lake. Good Ol' Boy Good Time. Super fun/funny parts too and great music as always!!! A different type but super fun where Chance leads is Workin For a Living. I love that one! Take care and thanks!
This one wins in several categories -- entertainment, comedy, energy, plain fun! It's also one of their numbers in which I totally forgot there were no instruments. The arrangement keeps a wall of sound going throughout! I'd also like to guess that the lame dance moves on the Sing Off was all pretense. They always had some good moves!. I loved that you met all that energy with matching enthusiasm! Thanks for another great reaction.
Loved how much you enjoyed this one, Cole! I had a good friend take me to a family crawfish boil up in Louisiana backwoods. She told her family, whom I was just meeting, that I don't eat crawfish. The response from her brother, "why would you bring her to a crawfish boil?!" I still didn't eat the crawfish, but the corn, taters, and sausage were divine. This song should've been playing on their radio! 🙂❤-Cat P.S. Really loved that you were so into this one you forgot to pause it as much as usual!!
You made me laugh harder than the video does. Hicks in the sticks gettin' down with their old bad selves!! LOL You nailed that reaction Cole. Nothin' more to say here!! EOVC lives on
A great fun country party song. Chance did a great job being the city slicker even thought this very rural South Alabama raised guy is the most country boy of the group. I can not confirm this but I heard that the original singer Blake Shelton was so impressed with their cover cover that he linked to it from his website. Great reaction as usual and you have a blessed day.
The original video by Blake & Trace made fun of those who weren't raised in the culture. This is more of a celebration of the hillbilly culture. The live versions of this generally come with a story about how Tim can find a hillbilly almost anywhere. The motel owner in Alaska talking about WiFi is a classic.
Great reaction!!! Such a fun song and video. This is the kind of video they love doing best because they just get their friends together and have a good time like in Good Ole Country Good Time, House Party and Summer in the Country just to name a few you should check out. Also check out the one they released an hour ago...Might as Well be Me.
Great reaction! This is such a fun song! Always puts a smile on my face. Love the foot stomping & hand clapping. And always extra special when Tim takes the lead & hearing those low notes. Chance is playing the city slicker but he is the most country of the group. He grew up in the sticks.
I've listened to this song rather a lot and there are three parts that I keep coming back to: 1. Chance's little bass run in the very beginning. It sounds just like a bass guitar! 2. The cool effect they put on Austin's voice in his counterpoint parts. It sounds like old-school AM radio. 3. Adam's giant kick drum. Big and booming and perfect.
So much fun. Yes, you got it that they made Chance (the most country of them all) the city slicker. He played it well. At the end of that they talk about how they let the horses out and it was pretty cute. Tim was holding a chicken and the horse near him was interested in the chicken and Tim kissed the horse. Another good one that’s an original is Good Ole Boy Good Time and Rob is the goofy one in that one. Great reaction Cole!🥰
Oops, forgot to say this was always one of the favorites they did live -- the audience just got so into, standing up, stomping, clapping, yelling out with them, encouraged by the guys -- been to 7 live shows and we just cannot wait for the next one!!! They guys are just super fun/funny on stage and interact so much with the fans. It's like a great concert and a stand-up comedy show all in one! You leave SOOOO happy! Take care.
Chance grew up in the backwoods of Alabama and his mother kept/keeps chickens so it is extra funny that he plays the city slicker. Chance ends up playing the uncomfortable nerdy type in several videos-including the one that dropped today-and he’s good at it. This is in my top ten HF videos (until I watch another one, anyway). You could tell that Austin was in his element there! By the way, the blonde in the video is now Tim’s wife. Thanks, Cole!
This is a fun song, I let the original grow on me, then decided after it got stuck in my head haha. Always loved trace Atkins, he brought the soul to it, and his voice is gold. This is different but ok. As always thank you for the video and commentary
Apologies to the original but I prefer Home Free's rendition. As always, the singing, beatboxing & harmonies are perfect. There's a live version on y/t as well and the live versions are often better than the studio videos! BTW, I'd far rather have pauses with insightful comments than - like some others whom I don't subscribe to - who obscure the video with weird stuff instead!
I always thought that Adam Rupp & Austin were dogging it a little about dancing - Adam has a terrific sense of rhythm & Austin's degree is in Musical Theater (I can't imagine such a course doesn't include dancing).
Austin and Tim together are like bread and butter
After they released this one both Blake Shelton and Trace Atkins wrote on FB that they loved this cover and Blake wrote that he loved the video
They must’ve had a great Fun time making this video…..&, yes…Chance was perfect as the city slicker …LOL…
Blake Shelton actually shared this on his Facebook Page when they released this! Such a fun one!

We have these kinda get togethers here in the Northwest but theirs usually about 18 dogs running around in the campsite. True story.😂❤
The funny thing is that Chance is probably the most country, raised in Alabama in the middle of nowhere. Love his awkward nerdy city boy.
Also, always forget to tell you that I really like your disclaimer. Thanks Cole. EOV!
This is one of my favorite.
thanks
Another great reaction Cole! Chance is from Alabama, so him being the city boy is extra funny😂
Yeah he's the most "backwoods" of em all. Hilarious 😂❤❤
One of my favourites from HF!💕
A great family/friends good time had my all.

loved the outhouse! I went to one like that in Cyprus and I had to chase the chickens out! ❤🏴

Hey Cole they just put out ( Might As Well Be Me) today very funny😍
So fun 😅❤
A real fun take on this song.
You made me laugh harder than the video does. Hicks in the sticks gettin' down with their old bad selves!! LOL You nailed that reaction Cole. Nothin' more to say here!! EOVC lives on

So upbeat--celebrating country!! A fabulous HF "ear worm" 😆 Once I hear this one it replays in my head for the rest of the day ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️

Yeahhhh, this one is a dancy one, sexy rythme and a lot of fun, full of Tim bass and stomping !! And the vidéo is greaaat 👍👍
Thx Cole 😉
They killed this It was hilarious! Love your reaction!

I think the outro you are talking about was for Thank God I'm A Country Boy!
@@pennymaple1817 oh shoot, I get them mixed up sometimes.
@@babyfry4775 🤣🤣
I always get a kick outta Rob being the bubba... Rob is the real city-boy of the bunch!😅 (Minneapolis metro) Good reaction, as always. EVOC!

And the brunette with the chicken is Olena, who was Austin's girlfriend at the time.
Glad ur feeling better!! Loved this video

So glad you really enjoyed this. It's always one of my favorites. 😀
This is one of my favorite video from our boys. They are so talented.❤️❤️❤️
Love this song and video!!
Along the same idea, have you done
Country Boy Good Time?
Thanks Cole! This was so much fun and now I’ll be singing this song for days 😀❤️
Chance playing the CITY SLICKER - is from ALABAMA ..... riot !!!
This is one of my favorites of theirs. Just a fun time goin down.
I like their video way better than the original. I like their version better, too.
I really love this song, it is so fun!!🔥🔥🔥
I like their cover a whole lot better than the original
i am not 100 percent certain but i think dominickers and barred rocks are two different breeds that happen to look alike.
Very funny video.😂
