I think a really cool detail in the final cutscene, was that when Palutena was vaporized, Pit and Dark Pit lost their power of flight. You'd expect it to happen, but it's a detail that they didn't have to show.
In Kid Icarus: Uprising, his wings were powered by Pandora, who Dark Pit had beaten and absorbed. He loses his power in Chapter 22: Scorched Feathers I believe, where he gets too close to the revival spring. Pandora enters the spring and becomes a younger, prettier, more powerful version of herself. After that Dark Pit becomes flightless on his own.
koopa kid gang Palutena can grant it to both of them, he doesn’t have to get it from Viridi. According to the Divine Guidance skits from Sm4sh, she allows Pit to keep his flight just to be fair, and Viridi helps dark Pit out there. Here, this seems to imply Palutena is responsible for both of them, since Viridi is rather occupied “renewing” the world in her stage.
Great reaction, I've seen so many people get upset because of the grinch leak being fake, and saying the direct was trash. I mean what did they expect? Sakurai said on E3 that there wouldnt be many fighters left. We got so much even after the big e3 reveal. So sad to see people whining about that we only got 3 new fighters in the new direct. 3 fighters is a lot if you ask me, AND we will have dlc fighters. I was most excited about playing as Simon Belmont and King K. Rool before this Direct happened. But now, I'm too doubled over in laughter at the idea of smashing as a Piranha Plant.

You KIND of have a point, but again - with the theme song being in straight up English this time, there's no need for subtitles. So even if Brawl's Esperanto theme is truly the first "theme with lyrics in Smash", Ultimate's theme is more easily understood right out of the gate. P.S. Spreading this around for the people confused by the plant: The Piranha Plant seems to be the latest joke character in the series. First was Jigglypuff, then Pichu, then the Wii Fit Trainer(s), and now the plant. Brawl is the only Smash Bros. game not to introduce a joke character. R.O.B. doesn't count due to the role he played in The Subspace Emissary, plus -- from what I hear -- he played a big role in Nintendo's history.

They pulled out all the stops for this game. It's everything everyone wanted, save for the Issac and Shadow fans, and those butthurt animu bois who wanted Son Goku, a Shonen Jump manga character, in a first party Nintendo fighting game. Don't worry, you still have Jump Force, which also has Yugi Muto and Ichigo Kurosaki.
Kirby's Warp Star can exceed past Speed of Light. He can literally go back to Dreamland and then come back when everything cools down. Don't forget, Kirby may not be fast, but his Warp Star has passed planets and galaxies in seconds.
And in the end, literally everyone died except for Kirby. The memes were right after all. XD But in all seriousness, this new story mode or whatever it is looks pretty promising. Slightly disappointed that Xenoblade 2 characters didn’t make to the base roster, but I expected as much. even to this day, Tom's stunned silence throughout the entirety of the Piranha Plant trailer, followed by the extremely confused and exasperated "HUH?!" at the end is still my favorite reaction to its reveal
so... if you look closely while they're going over the shop and stuff, you can see a spot for movies, it's likely the adventure mode will have more cutscenes, and unless only the first one gets voice acting, I think we'll be seeing plenty more of it, and I will laugh my ass off if the only character without a single line of voiced dialogue is link.... although there are plenty other characters in smash known for being silent or otherwise not having previous voice work.

It's not. It's considered separate. You get it for free for buying digital and/or registering your physical copy before a certain date, and it's paid after that point if you don't already have it.

Something about the whole "Kirby is the only survivor because Sakurai" thing is that they eventually DID say that Bayonetta and Palutena were the only other potential survivors, but Kirby is the most "beginner friendly" character. Or something like that. And I completely agree.

even to this day, Tom's stunned silence throughout the entirety of the Piranha Plant trailer, followed by the extremely confused and exasperated "HUH?!" at the end is still my favorite reaction to its reveal

so... if you look closely while they're going over the shop and stuff, you can see a spot for movies, it's likely the adventure mode will have more cutscenes, and unless only the first one gets voice acting, I think we'll be seeing plenty more of it, and I will laugh my ass off if the only character without a single line of voiced dialogue is link.... although there are plenty other characters in smash known for being silent or otherwise not having previous voice work.
Oh wait, if there is a "movies" sub section then that likely means there at least 2-3 more high quality cutscenes like this one.... OOOOOOOOOHHHHHH god someone hold my hype I can't contain it!

It's not. It's considered separate. You get it for free for buying digital and/or registering your physical copy before a certain date, and it's paid after that point if you don't already have it.

Something about the whole "Kirby is the only survivor because Sakurai" thing is that they eventually DID say that Bayonetta and Palutena were the only other potential survivors, but Kirby is the most "beginner friendly" character. Or something like that. And I completely agree.
