      There is not such a thing called "his truth"

    • @maximillianbruglione7976
      @maximillianbruglione7976 6 місяців тому

      @@alex_1221 His truth shall be your shield and buckler. Psalm 91:4. Psalm 91:4 starts with “He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take ..
      Truth is facts verified. Allen Iverson personified "his truth" thru competitiveness and tenacity in the way he played the professional sport of basketball at the highest level amongst the best of this world yet he often displayed a certain level of humbleness, growth, and maturity through his failures and successes that many others, including myself have, have followed his life and career through the microcosm that is the public eye. So, with all due respect, I disagree with your opinion. The saying his and or her truth is basically a way of speaking about one's perception of reality through your personal understanding, knowledge, experiences , and comprehension. All A.I.'s talent and blessings did not cloud his perception that he, at the end of the day was just like me and you...an imperfect human.
      Whatever you say you believe in is what I believe you will be judged by and not what anyone else believes.
      Peace be unto you.

      @@csadaybydayI also bristle when I hear it but at this point in life, I get it. For 1, people are getting dumber so the use of platitudes is to be expected. 2, while I do hold there are a handful of absolutes in life and empirical objectivism is king, there may be a little room for people to hold some things as personally true. What does that look like? Well, I'm an avowed atheist. I get annoyed with the false piety of religious folk. I think stealing is not altruistically beneficial because, in absolute terms, you don't take what you didn't earn or weren't given. If people went around stealing everything, there'd be anarchy. However, there may be some exceptions. If it's for baseline survival, I understand if people do what they gotta do. A naked man stealing shirt off a clothesline is not a crime (unless it's my favorite shirt 😅). All of that to say that I'd agree with a religiously inclined person about stealing. There's intersectionality and convergent conclusions, but there's what I hold to be true and what the next guy holds to be true. I hope that scans.

    All that talent got him up the HOF. Imagine if he had a good work ethic. He got by on talent only. With some hard work I think he’d have gotten a chip.

      People love to say shit like this about any athlete that may have slightly underachieved the giant expectations that were placed upon their shoulders.
      Y’all always act like making it into the HOF and winning league MVP and 11x All-Star let alone even making it to the NBA in the first place isn’t a prime example of a tremendous work ethic.
      But yea fuck it, let’s just pretend this man didn’t work hard at all and had everything easily handed to him just because he is talented. What a fucking joke of a comment. SMFH
