The LG Xboom Go PN7 is the bigger brother to the Xboom PL7. They both share the same internals in that they both are rated at 30 watts and both have 7.4v 3900mah batteries. Does the bigger drivers on the PN7 mean it is the best bluetooth speaker of the two? Full tests including maximum volume and bass tests.

I tested some software and I could say the PL5 frequency range goes from 75hz to 16k, though it just tested in the Bluetooth input

I want to get a new speaker, I am a bass head and was originally thinking of the srs xb 33.
But with this review I am not so sure anymore. Any suggestions
there is the w-king cheapo boombox, you cant beat the motion plus for value, big bass with eq but it isnt a boombox. both the pn7 and xb33 can beat its bass at low to moderate volumes. whats your budget? you need a big box for big bass, you cant get round that. there is always the minirg system with its sub to think about.

The boom is the new champ by which all others are measured at this level. I haven't tried them but im pretty sure the boom spanks the lgs

rave neo could have been the one but has too many issues with its frequency response but its low base is really sweet and nice.

Love your videos and bought 2 motion+ because of you, but wouldn't it be better to compare the speakers (and modes) by using the same part of the song on each instead of playing the song and switching? Cause song changes and then the comparison doesn't make much sense.
i do this if i am comparing a lot of different modes, 3 or more. personally i prefer letting the song play and have the clips short enough and the song long enough that you get a reasonable comparison. sometimes it better than others. i used to 30 seconds of the same part of a song and people complained then they couldnt remember between changes of speaker. so there is no perfect way to do this :)

They are very different, cant say one over the other. If you prefer clarity then go m+, if u want wider soundstage with deeper bass but very safe rather than exciting go xb43

to e honest in terms of bass i dont think it can even compete with the motion boom but the pn7 does offer a lively sound with more options. the pl7 is not bad but a lot smaller.

interesting...the PK7 uses AptX HD, yet these use the lowest quality codec possible. is it because LG went with cheaper speakers to cut costs?

This may not be my questions to answer, but the Soundcore Motion Boom has better sound than the PN7. Then the PK7 is definitely the best overall sounding speaker between the PL7 and PN7. 😉👌🏾
Of course we are interested to see how the pn7 stands against the other speakers of its class. For many you tuber it is the best 2020

Trust me everyone wants to see it.
I've had an xtreme 1, xb42 and I have 2 pn7. Trust me, you get used to the handle very quickly, the reason its on the bottom is for it can bounce the sound off the ground and for it has an angle up and towards you. About the flap, it sucks, but you only need it to charge, nothing else. The app is good, genuinely. Sony app sucks, and what I remember from JBL, they had an OK app.
When you update the speaker and the app, thru WiFi, you have an EQ in the app too.

99% of your review is perfect. I would like to disagree with your view on handle, because, when flat , such Bluetooth speakers are more linear than 360degree. Rather than a high table you are using to place it, most people may keep it on their coffee table which is always slightly lower or at height of your hip. With the tilt upwards, it reaches your ears more clearly, producing better soundstage. Can you try to play this along with you soundcore from a coffee table and you will perhaps understand the difference. As for using that as handle, it doesn't make sense, as almost all Bluetooth speakers of this size never need handle

i listened yesterday and really i thought the motion with custom was a level above. of course its a different signature and you may think otherwise. the pn7 is a more chilled listen for sure and yes dts mode can spread the sound but alters too much for me personally.

i didn't even know this even existed tbh but it even still after hearing how it sounds on your review, i can hella say this is just underwhelming, starting by looking at how big it is w/only 2 drivers and ending up on the tuning.
