I love how he looks back after fluffing his feathers and stares right at you! Owls are fascinating and so, so beautiful. For an owl to let you get that close, he must sense you have a good heart and soul. I've never seen a wild owl willingly let anything approach that close unless it was its mate or offspring.
So beautiful! I live in a neighborhood in the big middle of the city and at night I can hear them, all around me but I have never, ever seen one. It’s like surround sound when I go out at night, all around but never been able to see one. I would love to! I don’t even know what kind of owls they are. Owls are just so beautiful! 🥰

You know, I bet one of this fella's brothers comes to see me here in the NW Peninsula of Washington. I get a few just like this one that hangout in the trees on my property. Very active in the evening and early mornings. Very curious birds.

I’m pretty sure he either raised some of these animals if not all, or they are very familiar with interacting with humans.

Owls are known to have almost no fear of humans. I pet a screech owl who roosts with my chickens at night. Very chill birds
