So how much money do you have in that cheap gun now?. You could have bought a ruger, or a S+W, for what you have in it now. I bought 1 as my first gun, traded it in after 1 week. Never so disappointed with performance of this handgun. You still cant hit the broad side of a barn, with that thing. My shield for 100.00 more, will destroy that weapon, in accuracy, and life.
Not with you on this one, if you already own it. Moving to a stainless recoil spring ,and better fitted, longer lasting barrel makes sense to me. You won't get much on trade, I have the G2c Not a bad gun at the range, 50 yd. 6" plates 20 yd. 4" When I bought it, I didn't know if I wanted to carry, or shoot full time, or If I was sure I even wanted a gun. It was 100.00 new in the box, a friend bought it, and had so many he didn't shoot it. It's worth more to me, as it shoots as good as my shield, and it's more comfortable. Not everyone has 400.00, or more to spend at the time of purchase.@@Soli_Deo_Gloria_.
Sorry One last, I don't care how much a gun costs, as long as when I need it it goes bang. The G2c does, hasn't failed me yet, 5000+ rounds@@Soli_Deo_Gloria_.

I bought and installed the MCARBO spring kit in my cpx2. The MCARBO video walked me through the steps perfectly. Just got back from the range and what a huge difference the kit made! I don't have any way to measure the trigger pull except by function. I was able to shoot tighter groups with much more control of the pistol. Everything functioned perfectly and no light strikes. Great job MCARBO!

I just finished my install of my Trigger Spring Kit and EP Recoil Spring. Easy installation thanks to your video. The CPX-1 is not my favorite pistol, but it just stepped up a notch with this trigger spring kit. I'm anxious to test the recoil spring (which I can compare the two on-site).
Well....the MCARBO BROTHERS &engineers have done it again!👍 I put the lighter sprg kit in and it was awesome, but was still having issues with trigger finger pinch at the break. You guys at MCARBO are AMAZING....SCCY pistols are a very good pistol at a price mark everyone can afford...BUT MCARBO technology made it BETTER...MCARBO upgrades are second to none!!!! I'm extremely happy with every purchase I've made ....
Got the flat trigger the day it went on the website, I would personally love the trigger bar to reduce the dead space in the trigger. Loving the flat trigger so far though!
Agreed, the flat trigger is a definite improvement! If the reset could be addressed, you might even be able to say "that SCCY cpx has a great trigger!" For now though, I'll have to go with "it's a little better than awful!" :😁
Love your products and your videos. I even watch the videos of guns I don't own. It allows me to see how everything works and if I decide to purchase one at some point have info available to improve it with one of your kits. Thanks for all the great videos and products
At 33:19 - 33:39 ...you say, "there is nothing we can do about that, unless we did something with the trigger bar", etc. Do note.....you NEED a slight amount of free-play there to allow positive and reliable engagement on reset. To "design-out" all slop.....risks having the trigger not reset and then you have a dead-trigger. My point?...it's fine.
I'm a very satisfied MCARBO fan. I've been a Leo and police armorer for 40 years, and the modifications you produce are very well thought out and serve to make the weapon more dependable. Great job, guys! There's always a but, lol. I recently got a new in box CPX-1 as part of a partial trade deal. I have my own range, so I stepped outside to shoot the little pistol. At first I rather liked it, it came with a crimson trace shake-to-wake red dot, which actually isn't bad. The gun feels good in your hand, ergonomics are good, capacity is decent, the iron sights co-witness with the red dot. Very acceptable. Then I fired it. Now I'm a big guy, 5'11 and 245lbs. I am a lifelong gun smith and collector. I own and appreciate some massive calibers. But the recoil of the cpx caught me by surprise. It bites. For a 9mm, it is astonishing how difficult it is to make a fast follow up shot. Partly because it wants to jump around in your hand so much- shoot it and then shoot a little G43 and it is immediately obvious who wins the jump prize. I can shoot it fast and accurately, but it takes a LOT more work to do so, compared to any other subcompact 9 I own. The second reason fast and accurate follow ups are difficult is the RIDICULOUS reset. The trigger is similar in total travel to an unmodified gen 2 Glock 17. But the CPX's reset is essentially ALL THE WAY FORWARD, maybe an 8th of an inch short of the triggers standard rest position. I installed the complete MCARBO package, and as always, I felt a number of improvements. But the reset position is pretty much the same as it was originally. Could you make a video addressing this, if you have managed to solve this issue? I had planned to give this gun to one of my daughter's friends, after some training, but I ended up giving her a cz Rami instead, because the cpx reset is so bad that with her small hands she would often (under induced stress training) fail to allow the reset and then believe the gun to be defective. Once she actually threw the gun at the target. Sorry for the length of this post, but thank you for all you do- again, great job!
had the trigger resetting until i drove the 2 pins in the grip. after that it wouldn't reset. Instead of in and out of the frame i cut the Allen wrench down were i could do the adjustments from the bottom while in the frame. Still had trouble with resetting until i found out the slide made a difference. The slide installed holds the hammer to the rear some.Trigger wound not reset until i put on the slide good to go. love the mod trigger pull and feel much better, feels like a different gun. CPX1
Just installed the full kit. I'm not a gunsmith, so it took a while. A lot of reviewing the install video. It definitely improved the gun. I do not have a trigger pull gage, so I am unable to give specific numbers,
The external safety is the reason I prefer the cpx-2. Since the cpx-2 is my main conceal carry I practice with it the most. The trigger pull doesn’t bother me.
Getting the smith to put a kit in mine. I have other compact pistols but during the summer months I like the weight of the SCCY when Im concealed wearing athletic shorts, I just hate the trigger. I figure with some minor adjustments itll run with my Glocks and FNs. I even prefer to carry it over my Hellcat 9mm because it has a beefier feel to the handle. Cant wait to see the difference
Yeah the trigger pull is horrendous. It's so bad that I haven't shot the thing in over a year. In fact I bought a g3c as a new carry gun. But I would love to put my cpx2 back in the carry rotation. Trigger kit is on my wish list.
Mine would never function with the mcarbo trigger return spring.??? But used all ahe rest n still made a huge difference... N yes I did talk with cs when I had a prob n he walked me through.. But alas it was a no go.. But again superior cs
This video was very informative. I just purchased the SCCY CPX-2 with Red Dot and went to the range with a box of 20 ARMSCOR 124gr HP 9mm Luger. I was all over the place trying to use a Red Dot for the first rime. I assume that it is a combination of me not knowing how to co-witness and also the heavy trigger pull. What concerned me was that I had multiple failures where the bullet would jam on the feed ramp. I was told to try a different manufacturer hollow point that was more conical in shape. I have question regarding your kit. Will the heavier slide springs aid in eliminating the failure to feed jams? I want to use this as my EDC and the gun has to be absolutely reliable.
I've had other pistols with a heavy pull, I don't really mind that as it doesn't effect my grouping But the length of pull (as far as it will go) and length of reset which is almost all the way out and it's damned hard to rapid fire,
I cannot get out my hammer spring pin. More than an hour trying. Going to get new punches tomorrow, but got the rest of it installed. I was having an issue with the trigger not resetting, just staying at the back. I put it together 5x, still wouldn't work. Finally realized that the trigger pin needed to be pushed in just a click further. Now it runs like it should. Hopefully tomorrow, I'll get the 20lb spring in.
I just bought a sccy cpx2 after 20 rounds the trigger begin to fail ,there’s also a hesitation of 2 second before the round discharges some times longer
The trigger axis on my CPX-2 does NOT want to come out…not sure if they did something differently with Gen3 models but it will not budge no matter where I have the trigger or trigger spring oriented.
11-30-24 I finally installed my Mcarbo spring set for my 2 SCCY CPX 2 s. Now a couple of weeks later I took them both to the range and now both are having light primer strike issues. So buyer beware. Mine never had light primer strike issues before I changed changed over to the Mcarbo spring kits. Oh yes it made the trigger pull so nice and light, but now they are useless paper weights. Until I purchase stock springs and put them back to stock. So buyer beware.
I know that this video about the spring kit, Butt I just found a new sccy cpx-1 gen1 at pawnshop for $218.00 otd. I will keep the pistol the way it is.. I like-it.. It has the red dot on it.
Please make a safety delete kit for cpx-1 current gen. Or a cpx-1 to cpx-2 module conversion kit. Otherwise love the kit night amd day difference i actually enjoy shoot gun now of it wasnt for safety shroud digging into my thumb.
So the trigger alone isn't going to shorten the stroke to fire or reset will it? I like this little gun, it's surprisingly accurate and fits my rather large hand, something I've yet to find on a micro 9 so I'd like to shorten this stroke and reset.
Posted one day ago. Been looking to get the trigger reduction set and just saw this bundle. Dawg I’m getting one Fa sho fa sho dawg. Plus I hear nothing but good things from y’all. God bless big Pimpin. Also need u to put some of them shanks up. lol
Have had a cpx-1 red dot for over three years and today I found a cpx-2. For some reason the trigger on the cpx-2 was a lot lighter. Could it be the external safety on the cpx-1? When I took my new cpx-2 it had a smoother and lighter trigger. I took my cpx-1 along to compare. I like my red dot so next time out I may just switch the slides around.
I’m currently installing my kit that came in the mail today. I got the 3 springs and I am keeping the factory trigger but when I pull the trigger to test the hammer and all before installing my frame pins my trigger pulls but doesn’t reset. Any ideas on how to make the trigger reset after the initial pull?
How is it bone stock if you have a red dot sight on it ? I thought you would have to take it into a gunsmith to have the slide cut? Am i wrong? Anyways, I love my cpx 2 I wish I would have waited one more year and got the cpx-3 but I'm very happy with my purchase it's an amazing gun maybe I just need to get another one😂
Trigger won't reset after I replaced the springs, everything else works. It'll click and the hammer will click but the trigger won't bounce back any tips appreciated
I wish the trigger was back closer to the rear like a 1911, so you have much more room for gloved fingers and less travel before the hammer breaks. Could a short trigger bar do that?
I just wish those guns were more dependable than they actually are because they really are good looking guns. They just malfunction way too much for me to trust my life to them.
i admire what the Mcarbo team is doing here. but SCCY is making these improvements totally impossible. the trigger hinge pin in both of mine are glued or pressed in completely solid. it cannot be pushed pounded forced out at all. the recoil spring can be replaced and some of the other springs can be replaced. but overall with the looooooong reset on the trigger.. it makes a good hammer for butter. the CPX 2 is easily out performed by the phoenix HP22A in my opinion.
I feel you man those pins didnt wanna come out easy the rear pin was the hardest. I forgot to put the trigger screws in and pretty much will do it maybe in the future, i aint got the patience for those pins again.
I have beat the rear frame pin to death and it wont come out. this is ridiculous.Never have I had a gun that was this difficult. Bent 4 drifts and gave up. Totally wasted money on spring, dislike it already.
If you shoot someone in self defense with a modified pistol you'll have Hell to explain why. They will inspect it for mods & that could get you time in jail regardless of your intentions.
Got the flat trigger kit, and spring kit.
Getting the recoil kit next. Got the cpx2,

Why not include in the upgrade kit a modified insert to eliminate the safety of the safety and effectivly make the CPX1 into a CPX2 with no safety?
What's the reason for the lighter firing pin spring? Compensating for the lighter hammer spring/strike?
Exactly. Without the lighter firing pin spring you might introduce light primer strikes with a lighter hammer spring.
I'M HAVING SAME ISSUE.... HAVE YOU RESOLVED THIS
I bought a replacement slide but the gun is not firing but fires fine with the old one any help?
Do you guys still make these trigger kits?
Only if you sold 17 round mags for the sccy 1 ? Do you ?
How is it bone stock if you have a red dot sight on it ? I thought you would have to take it into a gunsmith to have the slide cut? Am i wrong?
Anyways, I love my cpx 2 I wish I would have waited one more year and got the cpx-3 but I'm very happy with my purchase it's an amazing gun maybe I just need to get another one😂
do these work in the CPX2 GEN 3 also ?
What’s the red dot on the handgun
Kit works great😀
Loc tite on the travel springs?
U left the felt in the hammer spring right
Trigger won't reset after I replaced the springs, everything else works. It'll click and the hammer will click but the trigger won't bounce back any tips appreciated
What’s the specs for the small screw on the left of the sight to adjust windage
trigger bar ill say yes see what you can do to smooth & lighten
You forgot to replace the firing pin spring in the CPX 1.
Good eye! I forget. That would explain some of the trigger pull difference at the end.
@@MCARBO save me some time and tell me that you make a spring kit for the Kel-Tec P11 too. Yeah, I have one, along with a CPX 2 and 3.
Will the CPX-1 still function if you don't put the safety back on it?
Got any Coupon Code?
I wish the trigger was back closer to the rear like a 1911, so you have much more room for gloved fingers and less travel before the hammer breaks. Could a short trigger bar do that?
It's same
U can't get rid of it when it at the start to begin.... Not with that gun. Which I carry 95 percent of the time
When are kits coming back in stock?!
They are in stock now
How can I do that performance to my sccy cpx 1 where to buy the parts and tools
The reset on my trigger fails from time to time during release. Would the modification correct the issue?
What sight is being used?
Damn near close to the kel-tec p-11
How much does it cost
830 n. A few seconds after... Awesome humor lmaoo
I installed the kit and the trigger will only reset if you hold the gun sideways.
I had to put the original spring back in the trigger to get it to reset properly. I still like the feel of the flat trigger better than the original.
Hi could anyone advise if modifying my trigger will make it illegal or otherwise if I ever have to use it in self defense? Thx
No it will have no bearing on if your shoot is good or not. Learn the laws in your area on when you can and cant shoot, that's all that matters
I just wish those guns were more dependable than they actually are because they really are good looking guns. They just malfunction way too much for me to trust my life to them.
Going to buy the upgrades to get it from a crap pistol to a decent one. Wish I never bought it.
That's nothing but the kal tec . P11 with a different name and a little different polymer.
I think Ill just get a Taurus lol
i admire what the Mcarbo team is doing here. but SCCY is making these improvements totally impossible. the trigger hinge pin in both of mine are glued or pressed in completely solid. it cannot be pushed pounded forced out at all. the recoil spring can be replaced and some of the other springs can be replaced. but overall with the looooooong reset on the trigger.. it makes a good hammer for butter. the CPX 2 is easily out performed by the phoenix HP22A in my opinion.
The Phoenix HP22A is 22cal. & nowhere near the same as a 9mm
No comparison at all
The Phoenix HP22A is absolute junk
I’m having this issue with the entire trigger axis & trigger spring. Damn thing will not disassemble.
I'm bending my punch trying to get the pins out
I feel you man those pins didnt wanna come out easy the rear pin was the hardest. I forgot to put the trigger screws in and pretty much will do it maybe in the future, i aint got the patience for those pins again.
man tell me about it i broke my punch trying yesterday lol look like i got to keep trying
out of stock
I have beat the rear frame pin to death and it wont come out. this is ridiculous.Never have I had a gun that was this difficult. Bent 4 drifts and gave up. Totally wasted money on spring, dislike it already.
If you shoot someone in self defense with a modified pistol you'll have Hell to explain why.
They will inspect it for mods & that could get you time in jail regardless of your intentions.
