    Best app that's brought me closer to God after all I've been through. Wish I could afford a good dictionary so I don’t have to leave app & lose concentration.

    I just upgraded to Olive Tree Bible Study 6. It is a significant improvement over the previous version (which I liked). This app lends itself to supporting using the Bible in whatever way you choose. From simply reading the Bible version you choose with the font size you choose to accumulating notations on a myriad of sorted subjects you can call on later.

    Thank you sir! I have been using the bible app and i love it. Thank you for explaining why you are “investing”, that meant a lot to me :)

    Amen. If you spend $200 on a Bible or Bible software it is an investment. Some people spend $200 on dinner but won't spend even $50 on a nice Bible not to mention Bible Software.

    Thank you for your Olivetree video, just great. I have been using it for years as well. My husband too. I have invested in my need to understand God's wisdom and to teach to others. May the Lord richly bless you and yours. And KEEP spreading JESUS.

    It's okay for an iPad but it doesn't let you hand write notes with your stylus. It makes interacting with the text too clinical. I use One Note to paste the text and then hand write all over the text as I work to exegete passages for a message or personal study. If I want powerful study tools I use the Platinum Logos software.

      I’ve heard Logos is good. How long have you been using it?

    • @lucasbrandon723
      @lucasbrandon723 5 років тому

      A couple years. It’s the best in my opinion. Very powerful software for biblical exegesis and original language study.

      Proclaim Ministries Have you now gone over to Logos? Or Accordance?

    • @ProclaimMinistries
      @ProclaimMinistries  4 роки тому +1

      Nope. Still using Olive Tree. Although the topic came up this week.

      @@ProclaimMinistries Same as me. I have around $300 worth of resources on it. I like its viewing experience. Logos and Accordance have the advantage of utilising multiple tabs for study and research whereas OT has its main split screen then pop-ups or grouping floating windows.
      The times I've used Accordance I've always gone back to using OT though. I find that having multiple tabs open is quite distracting and often gives me information overload!

    Great video! Thanks for sharing. I've just started exploring the resources in the olive tree app and store. Could you recommend some of the study bibles, commentaries and other resources you think can help me in my quest to seek the the Lord? I'd be very grateful. I just checked out the Bible Knowledge Commentary you mentioned in your video and I'm so impressed. God bless you.

    Thanks for the informative video. I just started using the app and would like to add a bible commentary to my library. Would you recommend one please? God bless

      Thanks for the comment. I’m currently sitting here reading the Bible. I often use the Olive tree app for my iPad and iPhone. I have a few commentaries through this app the one I’m reading currently is the Bible now is The Bible the Bible Knowledge Commentary. I have used this one for years I have the hard copy and the digital copy. In addition to that one I also use the NIV cultural Bible study notes and the new Bible commentary by DA Carson. I hope those help.

  • @KINGSNCROWNS
    @KINGSNCROWNS 5 років тому +2

    Never really thought about studying on a MacBook how is it vs the app I’m assuming there’s a desktop version? I’m guessing having the split screen is the main advantage?

    • @vivianang4943
      @vivianang4943 5 років тому

      Not just that. If you have a word in mind, it searches up the whole library, including the notes you made too!

    What's the difference in Olive Tree and Logos 8? Are there free commentaries, sermons, etc.? I see a free Olive Tree app, not a paid one.

    • @ProclaimMinistries
      @ProclaimMinistries  5 років тому

      I don’t much personally about Logos 8. I’ve heard of it but have never used it.

    • @wolves201
      @wolves201 4 роки тому

      Logos is THE industry standard and you can do lots of stuff in it including sermon preps where it automatically creates slides for you. But it’s expensive. To get full features of Logos 8 it around 999 bucks.

    The Olive Tree app is FREE... It dos'nt cost anything... Wrong information you share...

    • @ProclaimMinistries
      @ProclaimMinistries  2 роки тому

      You are correct. The app is free but there are many in app purchases, like Bibles, commentaries and other books.

      I have a LARGE account in Olive Tree, and have used their resources for several years, and this has given me a lot of joy and blessing. And, if you go to the Olive Tree page, from a browser, and go to free resources, you will see that there is a good pile of things that are free, both of translations and comments, etc...
      So to present that it is a free and a paid version, will be able to reduce the interest of some, in trying this out :-)

    Why I do not like the app. They added stuff to strongs that is not in the strong’s concordence hard copy. Now I will trust my hardcopy and not some sneeky app that cannot be trusted. Look up the work Trinity in hard copy not there because it was added to bible by a monk and is not in the original translations. Olive Tree added it all through their app to strongs concordence. Very wrong to mess with a mans work. Shame on Olive Tree for doing this.
