- CHESTER BENNINGTON - Before They Were GONE - LINKIN PARK
Chester faced a number of challenges and struggles in his early life. He was bullied in highschool, his parents divorced when he was very young and he was a victim of sexual abuse. As a teenager, he began experimenting with all types of drugs while working at fast food restaurants to pay for his drug habit. His personal pain and lonelieness did lead him to his creative outlet and fostered a huge love and talent for music.

This man made so many childhoods great
Personal Trainer and an Anime Geek?
You seem rare.
JaxBlade True 😣
Except his own kids...
Joshua Chavez maybe he did make it better for them tho. What if he stayed alive for them, got back on drugs etc. Guess we'll never know ;(
+Joshua Chavez his kids probably had a great childhood...that has nothing todo with his suicide; he was depressed.
Depression is a bitch. It doesn't discriminate.
Ivan that's funny coming from a guy with the grim reaper as his prof. Pic.
Ivan dude stfu
Just goes to show that you can have it all and still have nothing. Everyone has their own struggles, you never know what's going on in someone's head.
Supreme Dipper true ✌
Depression doesn’t care and makes you feel lonely af
The saddest part to me is that he left behind 6 kids. My father left behind 4 girls. It hurts a lot to lose your father. :(
katie crash :(((
Katie Crash so sorry 😐
It's sad he's gone
Same😢
Sad but true
its also sad that they will never make another song unless david starts to be the main singer
sad isnt even a word to describe wut real fans are feelin right now
Johann Lex I'm not even that big of a fan and I'm still not done crying.
The world lost a great mother fucking artist the day Chester died. I've loved linkin park since I was a kid, their new album that just came out was different but still very poignant and poetic as usual. Fly high, I hope you find peace 😞 and take care of my friend Nick, he loved your music and actually died from an overdose the other day. 💜 all the love in the world to your family and friends as well
I still can't believe that he died
Kkkkaleidoscope He's a fucking coward, leaving his family behind. Emotionally scarred them forever
Alex Atkinson sad that people can say that but it is k to disrespect his family during these times? No it isnt
I think you're the "edgey dork" here
Alex Atkinson You don't know shit shut the fuck up.
Still can't believe this shit man
I wasnt a fan of him, and the LP (he was and theí are still talented just not my kind of style) but what I dont understand: He had a wife for several years and children + I think family too ....That woman was blind when he did that much drugs e.g cetamine with cocaine , huge mount of alcohol ect. ?? + She knew that he had a deep depression which comes back in periods and I'm sure in the last few years it was more often.....For the love of God...I had depression for 2 years I know what kind of feeling is that, but my family supported me and helped me to put me to he right doctors and psychololists till I wont feel better and I was healed....This man could still live if his family would help him....very very sad.
Ya
TVBUU
Chester's gone but will never be forgotten. Here's a list of unknown fact, you may not know about the legend.
fromeosblog.wordpress.com/2018/05/02/chester-bennington-what-the-world-does-not-know-about-the-late-linkin-park-frontman/
I still think about it everyday...
Goes to show you that you can have fame, money, and success but the demons still haunt you even if the person looks happy and confident. People got to understand that celebrities go through shit like us average people. RIP Chest
City of Sayian Gods well since he was a victik of sexual Abuse that will haunt your for the reat of your life not a weriously sad ppl go through that
Except celebrities ARE regular people. They are human beings. They just have more popularity that's all. The more people understand this the better it will be for Hollywood and its workers.

LIYAN no one
your litteraly sef promoting on a video about someone who passed away get a life
AM Bafoon i agree, i was thinking the same thing a few minutes ago
+LIYAN get lost
Not going to lie, I was in the worst depression phases of my life when I passed high school and had to choose the degree that I wanted to take but no college was taking me in because I didn't make the cut off, I was Introvert, shy, had social anxiety, I know all these 3 mean very different but I had them.. Moreover I had Learning Disability, was ADHD so there was no chance I was into studies.. I barely had friends, no best friend only good friends.. Teachers in my school were Passive-aggresive about how dumb I was... So when I didn't get marks in test, Teachers used to pick on me, or atleast I felt like that.. One teacher, I swear to god said "You will be vendor outside the school, That's the maximum you can be.." I had no Idea about my future, what I had to do, what job interests me and stuff, This was my worst depression in life and I thought of suicide for 3 days back to back, that's how bad it was... Linkin Park is the ONLY reason I chose not to because it got me through it.. I had listened to all his songs and knew word of each song, I was living alone basically because my parents passed away and I shifted to another state saying to my grandparents that I was going for studies. So I am an introvert so I don't really spend my money, I heard Linkin park is coming to town and I spent nearly 500 bucks for his concert because he was my idol and got me through my worst times in life... That concert changed my life... I thought i am gonna make it in life no matter the odds.. I smoked marijuana that night before sleep and I wrote text messages on my laptop saying, Studies will change nothing in life... Do what makes you happy.. and many messages saying stuff like that, I woke up the next morning read a the messages and I was shocked myself, and I thought, It was like therapy session with yourself... I moved to the main city In my country, Started exploring and stuff and started clothing shop selling branded clothes, took the risk, after years I got into real estate, Handed my clothing line to manage to a manager, then diversified to expensive liqour selling... Today my company Monica enterprise (my mom's name) has a turnover of 2.5M dollars approx and My whole point of this is that Linkin Park is the reason this happed, I would have ended my life that day but Because Of him I ended up here, When I heard he suicided I was broken because he is the reason I didn't, And he does that, The fact that he suicided hurts even more, I cried alott when I heard, I don't usually cry when someone dies, I am in the depression stage again in life and I don't know how will I get through this one... I will always miss him❤️
Tushar Patel Tushar Patel stay strong bro. I know what you mean I really do. Im 18yrs old and I've been struggling with life since I was born. I have a condition called pectus excavatum and it ruins my life, I cannot take my shirt off because im embarassed I cant go to the beach and for all those reasons ive become very shy and social anxious in life. I dont even imagine getting a girlfriend because i think all girls would get disgusted and dissapointed of my appearance. But im trying to stay positive and think that things will change for good and should do you. You have achieved an amazing progress in your life and you should be proud of it! life has to offer amazing things, you just have to see them
Stay strong you guys, it's really a phase. Nothing stays in life, and these hard times wont too. Lets have courage to face our fears and take that leap towards hope. Let Chester's depression be a lesson, lets not have him gone in vain. Whenever you're down and out, just talk to someone, share it, don't let it bottle it up. Life is too precious.
Mantukas Jasiulis omg I also have pectus excavatum and social anxiety it sucks
All you need is Jesus
He was murdered just like Chris Cornell because he was about to expose the pedophile ring in Hollywood and the government
My childhood is crushed u_u
Hey bro we will get through with it. Im crushed to. I just think if someone was there to stop him
I loved his album Meteora, and Hybrid Theory. I don't care what the internet memers say. I love these guys.
I like the memes and the music
I like A Thousand Suns and Minutes to Midnight as well as the ones you like
Me too definitely one of my favourite bands
I was 6 when hybrid theory the album dropped and got it for Xmas. I was hooked immediately. My mom had a huge thing for introducing me into music at a young age. I got albums like hybrid theory by linkin park, country Grammer by nelly, the Marshall Mathers LP by Eminem, and so many more. I'm so grateful my ears were blessed with Mike and Chester's voices at such a young age.
A Thousand Suns is the Linkin Park album that has aged the best. Ahead of its time and not appreciated enough because it was so different.
it is so sad to see such a happy and great man go so early
R.I.P Chester Bennington 1976 - 2017
NovaGaming, Except he wasn't happy
Not happy.sad
I remember it clear as day when i heard One Step Closer on the radio, i instantly felt a connection to the band and eagerly waited for their next track to drop, then they came out with papercut, crawling and in the end and when the full album came out, i was listening to it on repeat for hours every day. Then they released Reanimation which is the best EDM album of all time imo, the followup studio album, meteora brought in massive hits and made history when Breaking the habit became the 5th single in a row to top the modern rock charts... That album was my favorite and my salvation throughout my teenage years because it literally defined me and spoke to me on a different level the any other album or even song have spoken to me... The next album, Minutes to Midnight was an amazing album... Although i can remember screaming betrayal at the top of my lungs, just 3 months after its release i grew to love it in all the ways i could and songs like leave out all the rest, shadow of the day and what ive done soon found themselves on my most played songs list. Then they came out with A Thousand Suns which is another name for a nuclear bomb going off, which is one of the most artistic album they have ever released with the image of a post apocalyptic world that is burning due to man kinds mistakes, it is an album that holds many great songs such as Robot Boy, The Catalyst, and my personal favorite - The Messenger. Few years later, Living Things came out which is an album combining all the previous genres - The rapping, screaming and heavy guitar riffs from Hybrid Theory and Meteora on songs like victimized, tinfoil, skin to bone etc. Soft rock and electronica from Minutes to Midnight and A Thousand Suns on Burn It Down and Roads Untraveled and also introducing new styles to the collection where the band for the first time started making their own beats by smashing two spoons together, hitting a wall with a bottle, breaking plates, writing on a keyboard and then running those sounds thru guitar paddles and generating their own beats to use in their songs. Then a few years later The Hunting Party came out - a hard rock record to satisfy the needs of every die hard linkin park fan that has been waiting for something heavier for many years, This album is an album that features guitar solo on every song, combines rap, rock and electronica all in one to produce a song that is filled with energy - Until its gone, This is also the first time that the band has been open to collaborations with Daron from SOAD, RAKIM, and other artists. On this record we see a true display of skill from Brad Delson on songs like mark the graves and A Line in the sand - a song that requests a solo to include picking, tapping and sweeping all in one. This record was a masterpiece that will remain in the heart of every LP fan forever. The next goal for the band was One More Light - a record like none before itself. This record combines pop with rock, and unlike other pop records, thisone doesnt use computer generated beats and riffs, rather linkin park band members made everything themselves. This record is truly an amazing record that shows how much you can do without the help of a computer. This record includes songs like Heavy which talks about the band members's life lately, good goodbye which talks about leaving someone behind, and the chilling One More Light which talks about a lost friend or a loved one. That song was written by Mike Shinoda to dedicate it to a friend from their label he had just lost a few months before the album started to be in creation, later on they dedicated it to Chris Cornell and now we dedicate it to Chester Bennington
From a fan who has been hooked to your songs for years, and will still be in the upcoming years - RIP Chester Bennington, you will be missed, and your music will always be my favorite...

Killa Keemsta What in your mind made you think it was meant to be funny ????
Killa Keemsta How was he funny?
Killa Keemsta its the name of a song lyric that Chester sang
Killa Keemsta how was I supposed to be funny? I'm still crying my eyes out, and miss him so much. He sang One More Light for his best friend Chris who has committed suicide in May. On 20th of July was supposed to be Chris' birthday, that's where Chester committed suicide. In no way possible I was trying to be funny.
Killa Keemsta oh, no I meant it, the band and music was the thing he loved, he also always wanted to be a rockstar. So I hope he can Rock In Peace, with out having to deal with the negative thoughts.
Still shocked smh
Rip Chester... We'll miss your music 😕
Preston Jenkins .....I hadn't got over Chris Cornell' S death,..,....and now this!??? wtf?! pray that Dave Grohl isn't next.
I miss Chester so much. Every time I listen to LP now, it’s hard to not think about the fact that he’s gone. He was the best friend I never had in my teens especially.
Chester and linkin park saved me from my own darkness... Literally. He'll be a part of my life forever. R.I.P. Chester💖✌

I was in grade six or seven when I first heard *In The End* by Linkin Park... It was on an iPod and I remember being so drawn in to Chester's voice. I'll always remember that, because I feel like his voice is what introduced me into the entire Rock and Rock/Altern genre. I was so young and already I knew this mans voice was so phenomenal.
Rest in paradise.

Is it hard for anyone else to listen to Linkin park songs since Chester Passed away?
It was wierd that I was thinking of Linkin Park a lot , two weeks before Chester died.
LEEWZIU Same!
Dude I started listening to them again before he died
Robert Luengas Same!
R.I.P. Chester Bennington 🙏🏽
RIP Chester Bennington, you will be missed😭
I get really bothered watching interviews with him explaining how he feels, and the hosts of the interviews laugh it off as if he's joking.
Lemme hit that Yeet and oof Same!! It makes me want to shake them! He was opening up and sharing something very private and powerful and they act like he’s joking. Granted, Chester joked a lot, but still... how could they not tell he was being serious?
Agree with both of you. Nothing about how Chester is explaining his life and how it’s hard for him is humorous at all. I suppose the interviewer assumed Chester had the support because well he’s Chester Bennington. I don’t think Chester should have been able to be alone with himself on 7/20 Chris Cornell’s birthday and for weeks to follow.
I've been saying Johnny Depp for like 2 years
carlosdz785 I know it sounds bad but I had a good laugh reading that because I was seeing all these depressing posts then "I've been saying Johnny Depp for like 2 years" fucking classic lmao
One day😂
carlosdz785 yes we need that
I will never forget him.
R.I.P Chester
Chester changed my life. I had such a rough childhood and suffered in silence from a very young age. My brother introduced me to Linkin Park and as soon as I heard numb, I didn't feel alone. That song perfectly said everything I wanted to say but I didn't have the courage. Over time, his music healed me. Knowing that this man had issues made me feel a connection. It made me speak up. I got to see linkin park twice. At Download in 2014, they played Hybrid theory in its entirety, something they only did once, and hearing him sings those songs out loud made me weep, I understood his pain. I'm now 24, and I have Bipolar, because of Chester i was able to seek the help and i still do. This man still continues to change my life and encourages me to speak up and try and attempt to remove the stigma attached with mental health. I feel so incredibly sad and hurt for his family and his friends. I pray that they find light during this tragedy. Chester, thank you for everything, you have helped so many of us. I hope your at peace.
Rip to one of the most legendary singers of all time we miss you Chester like if you agree

Breaking the habit or numb/encore were really good
jon knowles I see you, Chloe.
Breaking the habit and Numb. I also love crawling. This guy's music seriously got me through my teen years when my home was falling apart. It's crazy because hip hop is my number one choice of music but they were able to show a vulnerable side that most hip hip artists don't. Rest well Chester. Thank you for your amazing music and sharing your life with us.
A year later and it still hurts man, I'll never forget that day... It was like losing a brother. Your music got me through my fucked up childhood, I probably would not be here without Meteora and Hybrid Theory. RIP forever Chester, we will never forget.

R.I.P Chester!......."In The End it doesn't really matter"
I didn't start listening to Linkin Park until a couple years ago when I was having problems in high school. I wasn't a hardcore fan or anything but I related a lot to the songs and have been listening to them until even now. Chester described what we couldn't. He will be missed.

R.i.p chester
Who else loved Krwlng from Reanimated?
Reanimation was my favorite
Just LOVE Reanimated from beginning to end. Admittedly it was the only Linkin Park album I ever actually bought/owned.
I feel like reanimation doesn't get the respect it deserves, everytime i bring it up to someone, it seems like they've never heard of it.....crazy..but collision course, of course they've heard of that
seriously, reanimation is fucking insane
I do! Thanks to that song I got to appreciate the original Crawling.
I don't know this man's agenda, but he still has not gotten around to the king of comedy: Bernie Mac. I think we have to get Michael's attention. If I could ask everyone to please like my comment and reply to my comment asking for Michael to please do a "Bernie Mac, before they were gone," so that we could get Mr. McCrudden's attention, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Have a good day.
He will never be replaced
I never knew Chester but I miss him like a dear old friend. Linkin Park's music helped me through a lot of tough times growing up. What Chester sang, I felt his pain and could relate. I hope he finds peace now."Sometimes beginnings aren't so simple...Sometimes goobye's the only way."
