Thank you for this informative video, Sir! 🙏 As my window faces east, so there's obviously strong sunlight for many hours in the day. I'd kept my ZZ plant here about a month back. I'm only watering it once a week when the soil dries up. Suddenly there's been a slight yellowing of the leaves. Could it be because of the strong sunlight or insufficient watering? Please help. 🙏
Thank you so much for your kind words and for watching the video! It sounds like your ZZ plant is receiving more direct sunlight than it prefers. While ZZ plants are hardy, they thrive in bright indirect light and can tolerate low light. Direct sunlight, especially strong morning rays from an east-facing window, might be causing the yellowing leaves. Here’s what you can do: 1️⃣ Move the plant to a spot with bright but indirect light. You can place it a few feet away from the window or use a sheer curtain. 2️⃣ Check watering: Your watering schedule seems fine, but ensure the soil is completely dry before the next watering. Overwatering combined with strong sunlight can also stress the plant. 3️⃣ Remove yellow leaves: If the yellowing persists, prune the affected leaves to direct energy to healthy growth.
Hello sir, i have propagated zz leaf in water( for 2 months) and then I transferred it to soil but the leaf turned yellow and it died. Can you please help in understanding why this happened.
Hello! Sorry to hear about the trouble with your ZZ plant propagation. Yellowing and wilting after transferring to soil might indicate overwatering or inadequate drainage. Ensure the soil is well-draining, and let it dry out between waterings. Also, consider adjusting the light exposure. Hope this helps!
