Hello! We’re Chesca & Ben, and we live full time in our self converted sprinter van, Sophia. We spent 6 long months converting our tiny home on wheels, turning her from a workhorse into a place we call home. At the beginning of 2020, we were chasing the winter sun around Spain and Portugal. But when the pandemic hit, we found ourselves back home and waiting it out on Chesca's mum's driveway. Life suddenly took on a different rhythm. But now, 6 months later, we're back on the road and ready to chase some adventure. First stop, France 🌍 🚐

Hey guys, great to see you back on the road, sorry to hear about the hard year you have had. If you are travelling around the French Alps we can highly recommend Lac De Castillon near Castellane. We were there a few weeks ago and it is beautiful. We parked up right next to the crystal blue water, drop us a message if you would like the exact spot. The town of Castellane is also beautiful and has some amazing hikes. Looking forward to the next video. Ben and Charlotte

Overlanding Sophia we just watched your latest video, definitely looks very winters. We were lucky enough to get out of the UK for 2 1/2 weeks for a holiday but now unfortunately we are back home in lockdown in South Wales. We are really jealous of you guys travelling Europe. Long term travel is definitely something we want to do, just need to work out how to fund our travels. X

Hey Dave! Ah you’re going to be at Annecy! Hope you have the best time! We found the walk on All Trails, it’s an app that gives you loads of walks in the local area which you can follow with GPS ☺️
I think ours started at Angon on the east side of the lake and went up to a waterfall 💛
Thanks that is great, so appreciated as that’s not an app I had not come across before. We just got here today from lake Brienz on our return back north to Guernsey form our short break and after our T5 broke down on the way to Switzerland we would love to give Noodles the time to enjoy the open woods and hills. The lake is amazing and River is so definitely beautiful especially on her belly giving that look.. lol, loved the walk with the others, they are a nice couple and nice to have food with friends even though it was pouring down!! 😂😂👌

We usually spend the winters here working the season and enjoying our love of winter sports 🏂⛷ then take off in our camper to travel Europe in the Spring 🌼

What3Words would be great, but this is our thinking: most of these places are on Park4Night, so they are already fairly accessible. Half the fun of a good park up is finding it yourself, so we give an idea of where we are, so that others who want to go, can probably find them! What3Words would be too easy 🤪 xx Chesca

10:49 Seeing the windows quite condensated - I know for a car I saw a video once about putting shaving foam on the windscreen stops condensation.....I used shaving gel and it actually worked for when sitting in the car (not sure about living) but it did make a slightly blurry vision while driving, yet to actually try shaving foam but it may work??
Hey Jack, interesting! Never heard of using shaving foam on the windscreen before... At the minute we have a squeezy thing that gets rid of the condensation, but who knows, let us know if you try it and it works!

We did! Getting hold of the starter motor was the problem, which is why we were camped out in the Aldi car park while the local Peugeot garage ordered it in 😊

One thing that we've realised after spending time with Tania and Adam is that it's a real privilege to share a real van life experience with friends - not something we get to do often! River is 100% happy to be a van dog, especially up in those mountains 😍 xx Chesca
