    Awesome because I need trans temp & pressure along with fuel level but I'm really interested in that Mac valve set up you went pretty quick

    Great info here, I need to change my AC shut down to deactivate by RMP not TPS, situation, say accelerating full throttle and say you deactivate at 80% TPS, and you let off the peddle at 7000 RPM the AC compressor will engage at 7000 RPM, not good, I don't know why they did not configure it this way from the get-go, Thanks for this video, I will try and use this info to configure this issue, thanks again!

    This is incredible info. Thank you for the explanations. Trying to absorb as much TermX stuff as I can so I have a slight clue when I get one :)

    Great video. I only want to set a two-step off my trans brake button wired to inputs. I have watched a bunch of videos and was thrilled when I managed to get it to work. I set it up on my laptop using the can-bus and then just set the parameters on my wizard. However, when I cycle the ignition, it stops working. What did I do wrong?

      I’m not sure but it doesn’t sound like it’s setup correctly. There shouldn’t be a can bus involved for any of that. Always put the transbrake on discrete IO. That’s a safety concern.

      I didn't connect my trans brake to the ECU at all. I did T off from the trans brake switch to an input on the Terminator X. I then pinned it as my two-step. When the button is engaged the engine would only rev to a desired rpm. Works great until you cycle the ignition and its gone. Maybe after I make the changes on my laptop I need to down load the changes to the SD Card in the Wizard?@@greenshortsperformance472

    The two most used input/output functions we all want to know about as drag racers are the trans brake and bump functions which you didn't cover. There is much confusion out there in utube land about setting up the bump/t brake... 12v or ground inputs, tbrake or t brake launch, etc

    A video on the creep function some day would be cool. ;)

    can you show in detail how to set up a PWM radiator fan control

      I can do a pwm video however I don’t have a fan controller to really show you how to do it

      @@greenshortsperformance472 i'm working on a 69 camaro and i'm thinking on using a corvette PWM fan and trying to figure out how to control the fan with the x max and also control it for the a/c. i'm thinking of using a holley pressure sensor to monitor the refrigerant pressure and control the fan also.

    • @greenshortsperformance472
      @greenshortsperformance472  3 роки тому

      @@jcook69camaro the most important thing you need for pwm is a pwm fan controller. The Holley does not run at a high enough frequency to properly control fans.

    I want to send a 12v signal to the shift solenoid, but term x only seems to output pwm or ground even though the yellow/gray wire output wire says it is a 12v wire. I'm I stuck adding a relay and out putting a ground to it?

    • @greenshortsperformance472
      @greenshortsperformance472  2 роки тому

      Yes you are. Term X is ground output only. The instructions you looked up are for HP/dominator

    For someone like myself, this is vary advanced hard to follow, I have trouble leaning from someone that knows something like the back of their hand because they teach as if you already have a clue of why they're doing what they're doing. But I'm hoping you or someone can give Me a direct simplified answer for a simple mind, The reson for my fans coming on with key on- cold motor, before temperature parameters with the AC off (not even charged with freon yet) I have purchased and wired in "current performance wiring" meant for the Terminator X, And their dual relay for the electric fans for the Terminator X set up as well, why is my ecu sending the ground to the relays at all times ?

    • @greenshortsperformance472
      @greenshortsperformance472  3 роки тому

      I think it’s either pinmapped/programmed wrong or you have a physics ecu problem.

      Boy your opening a big can of worms there, lol. I'll try to keep it to a minimum, research before I ask, I'm luckier than some I guess, I read the instructions hooked it up and it fired right up and all is well as far as I can tell right out the box, good thing" I don't even own a computer or know where you put the gas in one? The fan came on with the set perimeters initially. My wiring looks better than Factory, soldered waterproof heat shrink loomed, The canisters on my kitchen counter are exactly evenly spaced, I think I'm going to try unhooking the air conditioning wires & see if there is something possibly wrong that is triggering the ground for the fans, do you think it would be ok to hook a test light to power and touch the outputs and see which one sends the ground when the temperature is correct, or with that fry something?

      @greenshortsperformance472  3 роки тому

      @@kevinwest3689 you can do that. Easier thing is to set your meter to ohms and check for continuity to ground. Another thing is that the harness could be pinned wrong and it’s sending ground to the wrong wire

    I want to utilize chevy oem electric fan and radiator setup for my Squarebody but the fans have a low and high setting. Will it still be possible to run them with a Terminator X max?

    • @greenshortsperformance472
      @greenshortsperformance472  3 роки тому

      I’d need to know specifically how the fans should be wired but typically a 2 speed fan would be triggered the same way two separate fans would. In that case it would be possible.

    If you run duel fans, does that mean I’m using an out put for each one or can I run both fans with one out put? I’m helping a friend with a LS turbo 67 chevelle. We have are running Mac valve A/C and fans 60e for the trans. With the limited I/O I’m just tryin to conserve what I have. Thanks.

    • @greenshortsperformance472
      @greenshortsperformance472  3 роки тому

      You can absolutely run both fans on a single output. The output would trigger a relay or a relay for each one and you would only set the on off temps for one fan in the software.

    • @greenshortsperformance472
      @greenshortsperformance472  3 роки тому

      Also be sure the relay and wiring can handle the amp draw for two fans

    • @dandorris8531
      @dandorris8531 3 роки тому

      Yep I’ll make sure on the wiring. Was going to run a relay for each fan but use one ground trigger from term x.
