I think you made some great points and you got good energy. This is a topic im super passionate about right now so I appreciate you not resorting to saying the industry is crashing like most other people and just like myself acknowledging the problems but welcoming the change. Great video man

the one thing I'm worried about is the mass amount of low quality shovelware that will hit the market with ai made games and how it will drown out some really great games made by indie devs.

That's a great point. I think just like AI art nowadays it will be pretty easy to spot what's real and what's not and hopefully people in due time will realize that no matter how you spin it, making games is hard and it takes time and dedication.

@@harveynewman i agree it will be pretty easy to spot the low quality trash, but based on how steam works when a new game is added it gets put on the front of the what's new page and when an indie makes there game it will be pushed aside from that front page due to all the low quality games being thrown on every day, I think every game market place has to have a huge shift in how games are portrayed on their sites. otherwise great games won't be seen.

Yeah to be honest it's hard for me to play multiplayer competitive games because of the hackers, at least on PC. That's what gives consoles the edge over PC games though. It's a lot more difficult to pull that off and when someone does it won't be on a large scale like it would be on PC

I love that how optimistic you always are. Is inspiring. I think your game will be very good, watched the cinematics already, and hope to see soon some gameplay as well. Your studio is much more than a indie one, it is noticed how professionnal you are guys, as you said a double A studio?. You spoke about Steam, what other places, social media strategy do you think will be good for an indie dev to self-publish? Ithought about erotic games like Wild Life or Carnal Instinct, they are making a lot of money thru Steam and Patreon, but I do not like to make erotic games, anyway, thanks for sharing your point of view, much appreciated!

Hey Diego, thanks so much for the kind words and wishes they are HIGHLY appreciated. And I think UA-cam is a must nowadays to be in as an Indie Dev. I also think that Instagram and Twitter are great sources for quick updates on the latest work. So YT for the longer Game Dev updates and Insta and Twitter for the short bursts of art and gameplay showcase.
I hope that helps and thanks again for the great comment.

Is Concord the start of publishers rethinking about paid multiplayer games? Will the push for f2p be more common?

    • @harveynewman

I believe even f2p is oversaturated at this point. I think it’s the beginning of publishers betting in more unique IP both multiplayer and single player instead of copying the market trends.
