    There are other factors that change the sound. The amp, the guitar and finally the player.

    Yes you can, this is a super versatil pedal, you can go from whatever age of rock 50's 60's 70's 80's to metal and that includes overdrive, sound also is in the manual most people trow away just right out of the box

      People don't know how to read. I used the manual and never had an issue with this pedal.

    Great Success! With the MT-2, less is more. I suggest never run the gain above 50% unless you have very weak pickups.

      I don't know, maybe it was recorded in 2011, well before you even had the slightest amount of common sense?

    @KILL3RKI3R4N Actually yes I need it, Its not a very good Marshall. If it were a Tube Marshall I won't be using it. I don't like the distortion of Marshalls MGs.

    @KILL3RKI3R4N I use a Marshall Valvestate S80.. And this pedal sounds 100.000 times better than my Marshall..

    @Nekoman95 Distortion pedals like this are too far away from the sound you're looking for. You should get an overdrive or a fuzz pedal, like the Big Muff, Dallas Arbiter Fuzz of a Fuzzface. Several amps have an overdrive channel that works well for that purpose.

  • @Nekoman95
    @Nekoman95 12 років тому

    ....is there any way you could get a warm, strong blues sound? I have an Epiphone Dot. Im kind of looking for a Jimi Hendrix sound,without buying a JH pedal or any other pedal. Tihis is the only pedal I have so if you could...the setings at which I can set mine at? Peace man!

  • @dako89
    @dako89  12 років тому

    @Nekoman95 there's no way you could get that sound from this pedal. Maybe you could use some gain from the amp. Some amps have a "bright" channel. But you probably need an overdrive for that sound. Or maybe with the clean channel with some EQ. I honestly don't know too much about blues sound so better you take advice from someone who knows.
    Cheers!

    Try the jekyll/hyde pedal. I'm not a big blues player but the distortion in that thing sounds surprisingly natural.. I'm actually going to return it because the distortion I need requires more gain than the jekyll/hyde offers (and it kills me because the tone is awesome), but other than that, the pedal has some pretty decent versatility and the sounds seems to come through even on amps that are somewhat cheap. give the pedal a try.. you never know.. fulltone makes some overdrive pedals as well.

    Hi.Thanks for video.
    Please tell me is your Metal Zone that you using in this video made in Japan?
    Or it's a Taiwan made model???
    Thanks.

    I hooked up an Ibanez Turbo tube screamer (TS9DX) in combination with my metal zone and it gives an incredibly rounded distorted sound. When you turn off the Metal zone, u still have some light distortion so its great for stuff that goes between clean and distortion within the song (i.e. Stratovarius Hunting High and Low).

    Hello, I just received a mt-2 with a keeley mod. It works in bypass (clean) but when I hit the distortion, nothing works. ANYONE???

    @9MAGGOT4LIFE Sounds grainy when i talked because i amplified the voice, when the guitar sounds there is no noise

  • @LeonardoRinaldiYautja
    @LeonardoRinaldiYautja 11 років тому

    Oh.. damn :/
    But can I get something almost like that? Doesnt need to be exactly equals.. just kinda "heavy" for the rhythmic guitar and smooth for some solos/riffs

  • @9MAGGOT4LIFE
    @9MAGGOT4LIFE 13 років тому

    still sounds a little grainy, but a cool sounding tone none the less. Thanks for the video, I'll be sure to check this product out.

    Best advice throw MT-2 away. Purchase HM-2 run through dirty channel in any amp all knobs on amp turned to 10. Then turn all knobs on HM-2 to 10

    Heh. 3 month old strings, an MG and a Metal Zone. Oh yeah, that's going to kick ass. NOT.
    Tube gain all day any day and speakers that can move some air will get you a good sound. Besides, most use way too much gain instead of playing properly.
    Stomp boxes will always sound synthetic. If anything, just boost a tube amp, that's it.

      Your argument is invalid, just check out Dimebag... He used SS amps on all Pantera albums.

    • @EricMetalhead

      PVfreak999 Dimebag's tone sucks. His playing is awesome though.

    • @DanielFantini
      @DanielFantini 9 років тому

      PVfreak999 you are stupid. The Krank Krankenstein is valve, he used valve Randalls too. Don't say shit unless you know its right

    • @microRCguy
      @microRCguy 9 років тому +1

      Daniel Fantini Wow... You're such a fucking dumbass. He used the Krank only live after the release of the Damageplan album, and he never used any other tube amps before. And also the ranadalls he used were solid state.

    • @dako89
      @dako89  8 років тому

      Yes, Of course, the settings I recommend are explained on the video... It depends also on the guitar you are using. Do not lower so much the mids so the guitar can sound clear with the bass
