Dang! I forgot about this show. We wanted to attend. On the subject of pop-ups/A-frames, there is something cool about them. I like the open feeling and the high ceilings.
If you haven't seen them yet, look for Josh the RV Nerd's videos on Ember RVs. He's with Bish's RV. Anyways, one of Ember's newer of road series (not touring) has a layout similar to the one you like with CONVERTIBLE double bunks. The only issue is that they have a slide. We're waiting for them to make the same layout but without a slide. Cool RVs though. Definitely made for off grid and off road.
When you were ready by a older, well-built diesel, pusher and flat till your truck behind. My view Evie, best RV to full-time in. Sorry my voice texting sucks.
@@WorkinfortheWild That would be good I see you are getting a lot of snow this winter sadly we are having a very wet summer RVing definitely in my future plans all the best 😊
Fun times at the RV shows. Still like to go looking even tho we are happy with our rig. One of things that were important to us when we were looking was windows. I’ll never understand why manufactures put all the big windows on the drivers side of the rig so you can look out at your neighbors campsite. I gotta agree with @dawg…please reconsider the pop up. 1998, Mueller State Park, Rangers came by and made sure all our pots, pans, tupperware (full and empty) silverware, food items, all had to go into a bear safe container. In our case it was our hard shell pickup truck cover. We still had fun but it was a lot of extra work dragging stuff back and forth for a family of four. That first night after the rangers came by I was in bed on one of the pop out wings, the kids were on the other side. I was watching my wife barricade the little puny popup door. After she was done I said “do you really think the bear is gonna use the door”? Immediately our 9yr old daughter threw her pillow on the floor, ratted out her 6yr old brother for sneaking candy back inside, and stated she would be sleeping on the floor for the rest of vacation.😂
St Paul Rv show was always fun. Thanks for the video! My wife and I are in the middle of renovating a bunk house to office for her. We are prepping our travel trailer for full timing soon. Just getting our YT page going. Check it out and let us know what you think. Thanks guys for the inspiration!!
FYI- there is a channel, AZ Expert, that may run into RV's that need interior rehab (maybe more too). He may run across something in his travels that may interest you. You might get in touch, tell him what you're looking for, and ask that he keep his eyes out in case he runs across something. Good video today... happy planning!
We bought the 26DJSE from Grey Wolf that you were in. We really like the layout. Good amount of space for not having slides, and just about perfect for us and two small kids and dog. You could easily convert the double bunk area into an office. We may upgrade to a Class C for more space and easier drivability for longer trips though.
That's awesome! We really like that layout. It's very similar to what we have currently but the few extra feet would make a huge difference with being able to have a designated office.
If you want a smaller travel trailer with room for an office. Check out Josh the RV Nerd at Bish channel. RV industry first crazy new feature. Published 5 days ago. That Ember MSL 191 and 221, trailer is cool.
The slide or slide out is an additional "room" that expands the overall living space in the RV. It's called a slide because it quite literally slides out.
@@WorkinfortheWild Just got back from the Tampa RV Super show and spoke with folks off to the side and some said ya gotta becareful with those NoBo RVs...they are a "niche" style TT and some have fallen apart..
Have you guys been recognized by anyone yet?.... You know you made it once that happens. lol NO NO NO on the pop up for full timing. Wind is a huge issue and noise. One can hear everything that is going on outside and everyone can hear what's going on inside..........:) Bugs, and Weather and you cant camp at places that have Bear nearby.
Oh this is so cool! We are converting a 5x8 cargo trailer into a tiny camper
Check out the Keystone Cougar 22MLS. The floor plan is awesome. We love ours!

Good episode.... fun stuff. Don't kid yourselves, if you aren't announcing the purchase of your new RV this year I will be amazed!!!

Ha! Don't worry, we're not moving into a pop up. I'm sure it's not fun dealing with that in bear country!
So happy you are back. Missed you during the holidays!!!

Great to know! We're always keeping an eye out but mostly just in our region.
Nice and sunny here in Arizona!!

Will y'all ever go to the Tampa show? I'm really wanting to plan to go next year!
Maybe! I've realized that is totally the place to be

Most of the TT's you were looking at OUCH! lol .. But 4 season and better quality the Grand Design Imagine 17 MKE and even better Imagine XLS 22MLE.
No pop ups. They don’t stay sealed very long.
Be sure that if you are looking at a new/used trailer, that Cole can stand in the shower!
What’s this slide thing that keeps coming up?

I was thinking of this same question myself.......being recognized!
Oooh I can only imagine the wind in a pop up! Don't worry, we're not going that route. We've been recognized one time! At a grocery store in Denver :)
