- World No. 11 Jannik Sinner admitted he was difficult for him to end his Miami campaign on the way he did but he felt it was the right thing to do as he remains hopeful that he will be ready for the Monte Carlo Masters. Sinner made the Miami Masters quarterfinal, before he was forced to retire just five games into the match.
Francisco Cerundolo opened an early 4-1 lead in the first set, before Sinner put an end to the match. Sinner's campaign at the Indian Wells Masters also ended on an unfortunate way as he was forced to give Nick Kyrgios a walkover in the round-of-16 due to illness.
Against Cerundolo, Sinner retired because of blisters. The Monte Carlo Masters starts on April 10. "Wasn’t easy to withdraw in Miami. It’s been a bit of a difficult month with my illness at Indian Wells and now this.
Do you think Sinner will be a grand slam champion one day?
