  • "Where is the Wallaces cave?" is a question usually followed by "So how do you get to it?"
We are starting in Winchester Avenue, Denny, walking towards "Dale Bridge" and from there.. well you just have to watch the video. The Witches Pool is an abandoned Quarry. Wallaces cave is an abandoned mine, for limestone, which is why there was a limekiln right next to the mine.

Another fab video. It was actually Pele that gave me directions to the cave a while back on the group. I had been as a kid but couldn't remember exactly where it was. Great to see the wealth of local history and knowledge both on here and FB

What a beautiful landscape and waterfall you have! Thank you for this long walk that has been different from my country in every ways and especially on such icy days. Here we know the cold winters when the Antarctic winds blow, but nothing like that. I wonder how do you take care of cattle: cows, sheep, horses, poultry; in winters that are so hard. Thanks for sharing greeting from Mdeo. Uruguay.
