Magnificent Tour!👍🎈👏✨ If I were to describe this Grand Loop in the simplest way to non-Trinidadian Friends around the World, I'd say that you basically started from Caura which is close to St. Joseph which was Trinidad's First Capital City around 1592 (just shy of 100 years after Columbus landed on the shores of Trinidad), travelled through San Juan then Santa Cruz (close to the Amerindian Statue), moved on to Maracas Bay and Tyrico Bay, then headed back to St. Joseph and Caura via the current Capital City, Port of Spain (since 1757) where the Lighthouse was featured. Definitely a highly recommended Scenic Tour when visiting Trinidad!✨🎈👍 Cool sunglasses 😎! Overjoyed to see you guys go on family road trips and outings; the kids had a blast as usual. 👍 Plus it's always sort of impromptu and spontaneous and adventurous. 🎈 A boon for your viewers all over the World who can't get out for whatever reason, or haven't been to Trinidad for some time. 👏 Superb woodwork and latticework on the vintage house at the beginning of this video, and the same holds true for the featured mansions around Queens Park Savannah. Lots of folk don't realize that the same skill and craftsmanship and workmanship went into the more modest older homes around Trinidad, especially in the countryside. Thanks for highlighting the Architecture of these wooden homes and buildings that you encounter along the way. ✨ That Statue on the Santa Cruz Old Road and the nightdress prank is representative of an Amerindian who "sold out his people", and informed the Spanish Settlers that his Amerindian People were about to attack them; the Spanish commemorated his betrayal of his own People by building that Statue. Small wonder he was dressed up in a nightie or nightgown! What a shame, but still part of our rich and interesting 🤔 history. Thanks 'Sana for that tid bit!👏 That Antique Shop is definitely a Pot of Gold at the end of a Rainbow 🌈🎈. It's written in the Heavens! HINT!!! Serious Treasure Trove as 'Sana put it. And the owners were equally precious 💕💖✨. Genuine Antique Singer Sewing Machine! I could be wrong, but I believe the draws that were featured right after the sewing machine actually came from the sewing bench upon which the sewing machine sat; that bench also had a metal pedal, perhaps 2.5'x2', that was used to drive the sewing machine manually as was pointed out in this video. These drawers were where bobbins, thread 🧵, needles, a Small Can of Machine Oil, etc., were kept along with pieces of lace, fabric, and a measuring tape. Peardrax and Cydrax bottles (the big brown bottles) were often used to go to the corner store to buy and contain kerosene for lamps and stoves. Awesome milk vat! Amazing Terrazzo Polisher! 'Sana knows it well. 👏 The Antique Keys 🗝️ often had a hole in the cylinder, and kids would make a toy called - KEY 🗝️ AND NAIL; like a mini cannon, the hollow end of the key 🗝️ was filled with sulphur taken from the head of matchsticks, and a piece of twine (or MAH-LIN which I've described in an earlier video) would be tied to the hole at the top of the key. Once loaded with sulphur, the pointed end of the nail would be inserted into the sulphur filled hole at the bottom of the key 🗝️, and then struck onto a hard surface to create an explosion that mimmicked a gun shot. It was a small device much like it's bursting bamboo which was more of a cannon-like explosion 💥. Admire the love shown for Chef Jason Peru! 👏 Saw him going from Orphanage to Orphanage giving Donations. Seriously positive vibes from the Chef. ✨ Thanks for taking time out to recognise our Youth for cleaning up their trash 🗑️, and keeping our environment clean! 👏 👍 We appreciate you guys for taking your audience on another amazing adventure! Cool sunglasses 😎! 👏
Superb woodwork and latticework on the vintage house at the beginning of this video, and the same holds true for the featured mansions around Queens Park Savannah. Lots of folk don't realize that the same skill and craftsmanship and workmanship went into the more modest older homes around Trinidad, especially in the countryside. Thanks for highlighting the Architecture of these wooden homes and buildings that you encounter along the way. ✨
That Statue on the Santa Cruz Old Road and the nightdress prank is representative of an Amerindian who "sold out his people", and informed the Spanish Settlers that his Amerindian People were about to attack them; the Spanish commemorated his betrayal of his own People by building that Statue. Small wonder he was dressed up in a nightie or nightgown! What a shame, but still part of our rich and interesting 🤔 history. Thanks 'Sana for that tid bit!👏
That Antique Shop is definitely a Pot of Gold at the end of a Rainbow 🌈🎈.
The Antique Keys 🗝️ often had a hole in the cylinder, and kids would make a toy called - KEY 🗝️ AND NAIL; like a mini cannon, the hollow end of the key 🗝️ was filled with sulphur taken from the head of matchsticks, and a piece of twine (or MAH-LIN which I've described in an earlier video) would be tied to the hole at the top of the key.
