I will repeat the point I made on another review of this watch. Logically let's think about the bezel. So let's turn the bezel so that 150 feet and 55 minutes line up. Now let's go diving for 55 minutes at 150 feet which is telling the diver there is no need for any decompression stops. Then see you in the after life. There is actually a serious safety issue with this watch.
Exactly - the bezel is a complete joke...... or at least it would be if it wasn't potentially life-threatening. So really its far worse than the first bezel. Not very 'tactical.'

It’s definitely the Seestern for me. I did a comparison of both the Frog and the Seestern in their V1 iterations, and the Seestern came out on top. When you add to that, the amount of upgrades to the Seestern V2, I think it becomes really apparent which one is winning the V2 battle as well!👍🏻😄
I still prefer the applied indices on the Tactical Frog over the printed indices on the Seestern, it is much better looking with the depth on the dial. The rest of the bezel differences are just fluff, desk diving would be the most popular use for these watches. IMO the TF is a better looking homage!
And some people do agree with you. I think on the whole there are very fine differences and alot of subjectives. The one thing people can't get away from is the glaring error by TF. Other than that it does have a few positives
Just ordered this watch from watchdives in blue, they said it’ll take about two weeks to arrive in Canada looking forward to it. Hoping the screw pins never work their way loose I’ve never had a watch with those. Seestern might be the better watch but I like the Frog’s smaller lug to lug and the Seestern was $30 more for what I see isn’t much difference that would bother me.
The bezel is such a deal breaker for me...it's completely useless! that is why I picked up the Seestern V2 Thanks for the review! And FYI I actually prefer the domed crystal on the TF over the SS and will looking into the possibility of replacing my Seesterns crystal with a domed crystal...

How do you mean? I've a V1 Seestern and the numerals do look odd, jammed together the way they are, but they're in the right places. Or have I got to get some better glasses?🤔
Apparently Seestern are doing a V2 addressing all of the Concerns of Buyers but there’s not many as V1 was no doubt Far Superior than the Tactical Frog. Tactical Frog Even with their V2 version missed the Boat as the damage was done with their V1 and I can’t imagine how many sales they lost out on when Seestern Entered the Arena.
Still leaning Seestern ... if they still have such issues on v2 then you trust the other brand (who got it closer the first time) a bit more. Especially if the prices are similar - if the Frog were $50+ less then you might begin to forgive some of the shortcomings.
I took all of this into careful consideration before ordering a Frog v3. By all indications Seestern has worse customer service. The Frog v3 has screw in links on the bracelet, better case sizing, better logo and brand name, more vibrant aqua colored dial, applied indices, and they also completely removed the No Deco numbers on the v3 so it's not incorrect. Also Seestern v2 lume isn't as good as it was in v1, which was one of the major selling points.
Agree on inner pip. Its off. They also moved the lug holes. Better for strap changes. Still think the Frog has more character in its overall look. Seestern is definitely more true to a Doxa.
Hey guess what, watch dives just got the tactical frog version three in the synchrotron army pattern and the silver Sunburst dial and they relocated the logos diagonally like the Doxa. Pretty interesting and they must’ve just done this! That silver version is beautiful man
I ended up with the maranez…🤷🏻♂️. Was paying double worth it?….likely not. The maranez is awesome but at the price not double awesome. The dial is a beautiful red enamel so it’s got that going for it, but the lume really sucks. I’ll probably still grab a seestern though just for poops and heehaws.
In terms of features and stuff, the seestern is obviously the better watch. However, I can't find it anywhere outside of Aliexpress at the moment and we poor Frenchmen aren't allowed to buy anything over 150€ VAT included from Ali... On top of that, there's a little something in term of shape/case design that's a tad bit more pleasing with the tactical frog. I can't really put my finger on it, but something really makes me wish it had better lume and that the bezel was done properly. I mean I could live with it being split, I could live with the solid centre pieces in the bracelet.... However the recent rarity of the Seestern makes me think that there might be a V2 of this one as well in the pipes... AND that it's likely going to be much better!

This is a disaster! These people are clowns. They obviously know nothing about watches. By the time they come out with V3, everyone will purchase the Seestern.
The bezel is far worse than the first one - you can't operate the decompression timer if the depth gauge rotates independently of the minutes on the bezel - it looks like the bezel was designed by the Chuckle Brothers
I have a Seestern V2 incoming. It just offers more and better features. I believe they made the V2 case thinner too. I am impressed TF put screws in the bracelet, so I'm hoping Seestern did the same, but it's not a deal breaker. Should get my V2 next week.

It's a lovely watch... the BOR bracelet is super comfortable, i just wish it was screwed together as the pins are not at the same level as the rest of the watch. Then again, my JLC Memovox bracelet is held together with pins so...
Huge let down for me on the frog. Seestern by a large margin for sure! Constantly pumping out versions to address fairly obvious issues on the v1 is unacceptable. Not buying anything from Frog as they seem to not know what they are doing.
The Frog is dead. From its hideously ugly applied indices to the awful bezel this watch is rubbish compared to the far superior seestern, I don't even know why we are comparing.

Excellent video. The Frog doesn't beat the Seestern and in some ways the Doxa itself doesn't beat the Seestern!
Still not sold. It really pales in comparison to the Seestern. The only thing it has going for it is the thinner case. Great review as always brother!
