Thanks 😊 but the editing makes it seem better than it is. I re-record a lot of stuff a second time to make it right. If you go back and watch my early videos it isnt as good. The ‘video voice’ is a skill I’ve come a short way with and have a long way to go. Thanks for watching!
I forgot to add, I live a couple miles down from the canal you shot when you left hog-land (slough).....sooooo many hogs in the preserve now, but have never had issues with them.
Great vid. I've been wanting to do the OTL. I have very little experience with figuring out how to stay on a trail (so I don't get lost) and filtering water. Any tips on how to get started? Should I join a group? PS I love Riverbed park!
There are many apps that use gps to tell you when you are on vs off trail. They have become ubiquitous to the point many people never learn how to read maps. I think it’s a good idea to use a map and then reference the gps to confirm decisions. Of course there are trail markers every 150 feet or so to tell you you’re still on trail. I don’t know of any hiking groups around here although there probably are if you go to the Jonathan Dickinson park office. They’re always having events. Maybe try a loop trail in jd first
Once you’re in it, it’s hard to turn back :D put one foot in front of the other. I got really sick after this trip. I think it was from the water unfortunately. Thanks for watching!
Excellent video!!! I section-hike Dupuis and JD with my 2 dogs regularly......some day will attempt the thru-hike 😊
Highly recommend it! And this is a beautiful time of year to do it. Water is lower and it’s a little cooler out. Thanks for watching
Dude. You/re awesome!! You're literally doing all the types of things I have planned to do! haha, thanks for scouting out the trails for us.
Aww thank you! Do you have any trip suggestions around Florida? I’m running out of fun trip ideas that are around this length
The scenery is absolutely stunning, I would love to see more travel videos. Just subbed 👍Have a fantastic day🎉 💖TFS
Thank you very much! You are my 500th subscriber :D looking at doing some trips in the Appalachians soon
Very cool adventure, really good job on the filming & editing....
Thank you!!
An amazing watch! You crushed it!!
Ayy thanks Sam!
Great job!!!! Thanks for filming your adventure!
Thanks for watching!
So jealous of your good speaking voice I can barely string 2 sentences together. Very nice!

Your editing has drastically improved, great video
Thanks so much! I try to just take out everything boring :)
I love all your videos man. Ive been watching them all. Thanks for sharing all your adventures with us!
Thanks for watching Travis! Trying to get some more trips planned soon 😁
As always looked like a fantastic hike!
Thanks! You would love all the cypress water walks
Awesome video. You killed it. I hiked OTL trail 1/20 -1/22 and the Corbett section was so tough with all that mud.
Thanks! I think we hiked it the same weekend, I started on the Thursday though. Ya the mud was killer in some spots
I forgot to add, I live a couple miles down from the canal you shot when you left hog-land (slough).....sooooo many hogs in the preserve now, but have never had issues with them.
I would have been less wary if I wasn’t alone. It does feel quite vulnerable out there but as you saw I made it through unscathed :)
Did I miss the month that you set out on this trail? Great video btw. Thanks!
Hi! Thanks for watching. I did it in January. January - March are the best times to hike the swamps if you want to not wade so deep
I want to be like you when I grow up!
😊 you’re doing your thing dude!

The town of Westlake is 5 miles from the East entrance to Corbett for another resupply option! 😊
Thanks for the rec! I’ll look this up
The O2L but done L2O!
I’m looking to do this hike in February, what month did you take the hike?
I did it in January! You should be good in February
How do people normally get back to their car?
You could hire a taxi service or try to contact a Florida Trail trail angel. It’s a good drive and I don’t believe there’s public transport
Gosh people's, how ? 🤔

I'm starting it on march 10 my 48th bday will be taking 5 days
Enjoy the trip! Five days is a good amount. Get it done while it’s still cool out 😂
