Honest Review of Birthright | Did It Live Up To The Hype?
In this video, I'll share with you everything you need to know about Birthright Israel, from what to expect, the itinerary, travel, and pack list. So sit back, relax, and get ready to discover the beauty of Israel.
Birthright Israel is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Jewish young adults between the ages of 18-26 to experience Israel for free. The program is designed to create a meaningful and transformative experience that connects participants with their Jewish heritage, Israel, and other Jewish young adults from around the world.
The itinerary for the 10-day trip is jam-packed with activities and sites that highlight Israel's rich culture and history. Participants will have the chance to visit significant religious and historical sites like the Western Wall, Masada, and Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum. The trip also includes hiking, swimming in the Dead Sea, exploring the vibrant city of Tel Aviv, and much more.
When it comes to travel, participants will have nothing to worry about as Birthright Israel takes care of all the details. Participants will fly from their home country to Israel and will be greeted at the airport by Birthright staff. From there, participants will travel by bus to all the different destinations on the itinerary. Birthright Israel takes care of all accommodation, transportation, and most meals during the 10-day trip.

OCEAN TO LAKE TRAIL HIKE | 61 miles of Florida Everglades
Переглядів 2,9 тис.Рік тому
In mid January I backpacked the Ocean to Lake Trail over three days. The trail starts at Lake Okeechobee and ends at Hobe Sound Beach, and is a spur of the 1200 mile Florida Trail. The hike consisted of a 19 mile day, 25 mile day, and a final 19 mile day. If you're going to do this hike I highly recommend doing it in January to April as these are the driest times in this part of Florida. In mid...

CYCLING 100 MILES IN THE FLORIDA KEYS | Key West Century Ride

In early November, as Hurricane Nicole narrowed in on South Florida, four friends and I cycled 100 miles from Key West to Key Largo. More specifically, we biked to Tavernier (where we were staying). After last years North Nest Key kayak trip, we knew we needed to return to the keys for another adventure. I BIKED LAKE OKEECHOBEE IN ONE DAY | 117 Mile Cycling Adventure

Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trail (LOST) is a 110 mile bike route on the dike surrounding Lake Okeechobee. Due to a couple closures, the ride ended up taking me 117 miles to complete. While there are some campsites and campgrounds along the way, including on the Florida Trail, I decided to bike this route in a single day. I was planning a bike ride of the Florida Keys (coming soon), and wanted to ma...
EVERYTHING I BROUGHT: 5 Months Backpacking in Europe

Between March and August 2022, I backpacked around Israel and Europe. Unlike traditional "European" backpacking of traveling between countries, I was also hiking trails and bikepacking my way around. West Highland Way Hike (96 miles of beautiful Scotland)

The West Highland Way is a historical trail passing through West Scotland near the coast. It runs along Loch Lomond in the South and then moves north into the Highlands. The weather in Scotland was unpredictable to say the least. In the morning it would be foggy and raining, clear up around noon, and then rain again once or twice in the afternoon. I did have a couple days of perfect weather tho...

The Ruta Circular Picos De Europa was undoubtedly the most beautiful hike I've done. Ever. It was also the most difficult. I significantly underestimated the climbs. The sun. The amount of time it would take. That being said, I don't feel too terrible for the parts that I missed because the trail was becoming a bit repetitive at elevation. Tips for those thinking about doing this hike. Fly in t...

Enjoyed watching your video! It's too bad you didn't get a chance to camp at Hidden Pond we were there this past February and it's a sweet place to pitch the tent and have a nice fire even tho it was a bit crowded. Just FYI there are additional campsites on the back side of the pond accessible via the opening in the trees that opens up to the prairie. We were there during a cold spell and it got pretty chilly which was nice since it kept the bugs away. We posted a video on Hidden Pond on our channel so check it out if you're interested. Cheers!

There are many apps that use gps to tell you when you are on vs off trail. They have become ubiquitous to the point many people never learn how to read maps. I think it’s a good idea to use a map and then reference the gps to confirm decisions. Of course there are trail markers every 150 feet or so to tell you you’re still on trail. I don’t know of any hiking groups around here although there probably are if you go to the Jonathan Dickinson park office. They’re always having events. Maybe try a loop trail in jd first

Finishing doesn’t matter if you don’t get home safe! On a side note, it should be more open now than in 2019, with little road riding. I believe the army core has opened up a lot more of the dike

If I strep on a pigmy/eastern rattlesnake, the boot can take the bite. Not my foot. 2. Cell phone and a whistle 3. Some might not like it. But a sidearm. I have holster for my Glock I tuck under my shirt. God forbid I ever need it.

Colonial settlers almost always eliminate the Natives in order to better rape and pillage the natural resources and steal land exactly like what happened in 1947-1949 and continues to happen in the West Bank. Messianic colonial settlers are killing non-Jews almost every day there. This has been widely reported (even in the New York Times, a pro-Israeli newspaper). The world is witnessing the bombing of Gaza in real time as there are still reporters still alive and UN aid agencies still present there. Over 100 UN aid personnel have been killed and 94 journalists have been killed since the bombing started. The true colors of the Israeli apartheid, fascist regime are there for the world to see. This has nothing to do with Judaism but everything to do with Zionism. The implementation of Zionism on the ground since 1947 is racist and brutal. Shame on Israel for killing over 19,000 innocent civilians. Shame.
