In the Europe Spike has no retailers sadly.
I really liked this aio prv, just like there jacketed fermenters.
Looks well built.
It is!
Great prv. Been using this for several months. Seems like my lagers ferment cleaner under pressure.
Great to hear!
Solid looking unit! Interesting, we tried getting spike stuff at the shop, they weren't interested. Pity as it looks great.
I think cheeky peak have their pumps so may have access to other stuff, maybe worth contacting them? They might be able to help? Cheers mate!
Looking at picking up one of these myself. Appreciate the video.
Curious, do you have a link to the secondary PRV you have on the fermenter? Even though I know Spike says this can be used as the only PRV on the fermenter, I too would like peace of mind having the second backup PRV.
I cant find the exact one, it came from cheeky peak in Australia, but I also one of these amzn.to/3ZbJr6i or bit.ly/MorePRV
it was this one, cheers! cheekypeakbrewery.com.au/304ss-1-5-tri-clover-prv-valve-1-bar-15psi/
Helpful review thanks! Just wondering how you’ve found the nano x fermenter?
Yeah it's been really good, I've been using all the time. It had a tricky lid seal clamp on it, nowhere near a deal breaker, which I believe they've just updated, other than that all great. Cheers!
@@HomeBrewNetwork Have you got any tips and tricks to get a good seal? I have had trouble getting the seal to stay in the groove...
never had an issue mate, I'm not sure why that would happen you're not covering it in something slippery like star san or something?
@@HomeBrewNetwork It wouldnt stay in the groove of the pressure lid out of the box. Noticed you responded to my other message. Much much appreciated.
The big Q. Where do we buy one in Oz Gavin?
I emailed spike the other day and their response is that they don’t have any resellers in Australia and gave no indication when and if they would be selling outside of the US and Canada. 😢
I'm a big Spike fan. Was that a crazy dry hoop device in the background? Simplify, try a couple of sous vide magnets above and below the fermenter lid in a hop filled mesh bag. Rock on.
No mate I don't like hops in bags, or hanging around in the fermenter for a week beforehand. It's a hop bong it only goes on just as I'm dry hopping, I was letting pressure out to drop the hops in. Then the hop bong comes off again. Can actually be used for all sorts of things from an inline filter, to inline water oxygenator, even like a hop rocket or Randall. And I used stir bars over sous vide magnets as I didn't have to buy anything. Cheers mate!

Ahh, very good logic. Hmm, beer. Thank you from Chicago.
@@jimp5024 One day when I win lotto I'll come to Chicago and have a beer!
Nice unit and looks very compact compared to my setup. Shame it doesn't have notches on it to give a rough estimate of what the pressure will be once fermentation kicks in though
I think that would be hard, since the adjustment bit doesn't go around just once, it's got quite a bit of adjustment in it, I'm not sure how you would do it. I always prefer to set my spundings no matter what type in place on the fermenter just before I shut the door of the fermentation chamber so I know it's set right, no guesses, no bumping it out of whack, no explosions or leaks lol cheers mate!
