PFF like most media now days have a marketing direction they have to format around. I work in the media & we can't be to positive about certain players or prospects, while we also are told to promote positively to the point of exaggeration with others who we also know not to criticize or highlight poor performances.
@173jaSon371 All I was pointing out was that I am normally able to listen to this show while I'm at work, but today their audio levels were much lower than usual and I could not make out what they were saying over the sound of my equipment. Normally I can hear them fine. That is all. I can't believe so many people are upset that I just pointed this out to them.
Under the radar is the Chargers.. Getting Harbaugh to be the head coach automatically improves the team substantially. Sure, they lost Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, but they kept Bosa and Mack, plus they got the best tackle in the draft- Alt, and they got McConkey, plus Colson- linebacker, and a few other players that should contribute in the draft. In addition they picked up some solid veteran free agents that will add talent and experience to the team. For the longest time, they couldn’t run the ball, but with the improvements to the O-Line and some veteran running backs, that should become one of their strengths this season, and if they can run the ball, play action passing will be much more successful then in years past. I think the Chargers will be better than they were last season, and they might even compete for a wild card playoff spot.
Chargers are not the most improved from 2023 to 2024. They’re rebuilding and just lost a franchise legend and also Mike Williams. Going in the right direction but not most improved yet
Chargers are a wildcard that could go either way, but yes would bet they'll be a strong team this yr. Falcons also improved a lot but need a pass rush still. Commanders I don't see doing well nor Daniels who believe us a product of transferring to an all-star team at LSU with every target wide open.
It is such a high bar for a rookie QB, even the ones who are good. Herbert- 31 TDs Mayfield- 27 Russell Wilson- 26 Stroud- 23 Dak- 23 Mac Jones- 22 Minshew- 21 Carr- 21 Kyler Murray- 20 Andy Dalton- 20 Watson- 19 in 6 starts Flacco- 14 Burrow- 13 Stafford- 13 Purdy- 13 in 5 starts Lawrence- 12 Tua- 11 Bryce- 11 Josh Allen- 10 Fields- 7
Well Arthur should do well with heavy running with fields in place and sucking in everyone for a deep pass ... Maybe even do trick places with fields at H back or something
Prove it deals just like Dalton Schultz last year. He proved he fits the culture and scheme so he got paid. You’ll notice Nick is playing it smart and not many older players have big contracts past CJ’s rookie contract which in turn big cuts (dead cap) don’t have to be made like the Bills this offseason.
@@sidelinesarah The Texans will have a hard time just making the playoffs, their schedule is just brutal. 8-9 seems more likely than 10-7. 16 of the 17 look to be tough games. They needed to add more players or go backwards, and yet I think they have chosen... poorly. They should have played for a championship next year in my opinion. But their demise is far from certain.
Burrows first complete season which was his second season he became the all time Bengals TD and passing yards leader. 4650 yards and 34 touchdowns. The next year he broke his own td record with 35. And both of these were in 16 games. 2022 the Bills game was canceled and 2021 none of the starters played played in the last game of the year.
Josh Allen has had 4 straight seasons over 40+ total touchdowns, an NFL record. He’s 23 rushing tuddies from being the NFL’s all-time leading scorer at the QB position. He turns 28 later this month. Straight dog Hope to see ya guys in the playoffs again!
If you hit on two top five picks on rookie deals, plus tank dell and maybe a few others, go all in! You have four years so be a top five team in your conference!
As a Vikings fan, I take offense to you guys saying that Atlanta is going to be so much better with Kirk chains at QB but for years you slam the Vikings for having him as their quarterback, and paying him all that money you guys are hilarious
They talk constantly about some QBs (like Cousins or Dak for example) being good enough to be an clear upgrade/advantage compare to most guys but just not being on the same level as the top end guys.
Jets #2-53 might be worse? So Gardner, Wilson, Quinnen, Quincy, and Breece declined? Tyron smith is a downgrade from Duane Brown? Mike Williams is going to steal all the Lazard touches? I’m not a Jets fan but that take sounds absurd. What a grouch, am I right??
Since Sam brought up Charlie Smyth, the Irish kicker signed to the Saints, I have a theory. With the new kickoff rules, will 6’4”, 210 lbs Charlie Smyth have an edge over Saints incumbent kicker, 5’7”, 157 lbs Blake Grupe, because of an increased importance on the kicker being the last line of defense on kick offs & having the ability to make a tackle or at least survive a tackle attempt? Also, Smyth played “Gaelic Football”, does that require a skill set that would translate to tackling on a kickoff in the NFL more than Rugby or Soccer? Thanks!
Classic jets take from pff. How have they gotten worse? If dl is a wash then the transfer of assets to the ol and the addition of wr’s has been seen as positive improvement.
We get no coverage - I understand we are the premier poverty franchise and have the worst record despite being one of the oldest teams. Monti, JG, Kyler, MHJ - hoping for better days soon
The Commanders are still one of the 5 worst teams heading into next season and will almost certainly be drafting in the top 5 again. Where did they really upgrade? If several things go right they might win 8 games. They downgraded at Edge and didn’t replace Sweat. They didn’t replace Curtis Samuel at receiver. There was a lot of roster turnover, but it’s year 1 of a rebuild.
@@paulieprinceton4550 I mean they improved the starters at almost a dozen positions and depth all over the roster. Then added a franchise qb and greatly improved coaching staff as well. I'm not saying they're a good team or that thier rebuild is over but they had a very bare roster at the start of the offseason and they've massively improved on what they had. Teams like philly added some good players but would anyone say they are drastically better than they were last year? They lost a lot of depth and HOF caliber corner stones, I'm not sure drafting some corners and adding Barkley makes them "one of the most improved teams" similar with the Steelers
Notice how they continue to try to justify the Penix pick, fairly long after no one is really asking anymore? And how, if we continue to point out the ludicrous nature of certain aspects of its defense, it's still just us "not being honest" with ourselves? (and, again, ignoring the argument that the Falcons could have helped themselves THIS season had they used it for another player) They must have heard some other touts discussing it since last time. This, "You know, if you just take it as two separate transactions, it makes perfect sense!" approach is a new one for them. The thing is, that's how we've ALWAYS looked at it. Yes. In one transaction they got the top free agent QB. And, yes, in the second transaction they used the No. 8 pick to pick his backup. We're aware that they didn't go down together. It's just that one makes the other look a little sketchy. Keep carrying that water! Maybe when that two years down the road arrives, the gas lighting will have worked. 🤣 Part of the gas lighting is the ridiculous claim that "no one saw" Penix being taken in the top 10. Does that ring true to you? I seem to recall PLENTY of touts claiming that six QBs could go in the top 10. But if they repeat this untruth often enough, eventually it becomes narrative and people might start believing it. Otherwise, let's see ... ... still claiming that Justin Fields developed in some way, based on him doing more of the thing that you don't pay quarterbacks to do, and ... ... still using the laughable WAR "statistic" for some reason. Just to point out, there IS such a statistic as "Wins Above Replacement." There is NOT a stat that actually predicts wins above replacement. WAR measures SOMEthing. It just can't actually measure that which it claims to measure. If it DID, there would be one formula to quantify it. There happen to be several. Take care.
For the Steelers if they score on average 24 ppg they would’ve won a lot more games. Russell doesn’t have to be great just needs to have another 2023 season

Damn you guys got me excited. I was looking forward to watching Eric Eager playing TE for the panthers
You know what would make the falcons even more improved? Rome instead of a back up qb.
30+ TDs? You might be overestimating Caleb here.
