Indeed they are, Tim: it's always fun to revisit the "Brushing Boo Channel," and an absolute joy to watch the growth of the love between Boo and the Lady. I miss seeing what Boo and his indoor fam are up to these days, though I understand how the focus is on Ditto now; that said, I admit that I do need at least my minimum RDA of Boo Velvet (and of Splash, sure), and miss the Indoor Four in general. The integration ahead should prove fascinating.
I just found you and happy I did! I'm a cat person and last year I was given a kitten through a rescue. The lady brought him all wrapped up in a blanket, all she said was he was a little touched. She handed him to me all wrapped up, he wasn't moving a muscle. I went to the bathroom and came back in the room....didn't see my little guy for 2 weeks, I live in a camper so it's not like its a big place! I put food, water, sandbox, toys, blanket and a good size teddy bear I had. I knew where he was but I just gave him time. Come to find out he's feral and always will have that little wild side!! He has sat on my lap once, never would I try to pick him up, simply cause he's so scared. He finally sleeps with me now, allows me to pet him but only from the front, hes never scratched or bitten me. He now gives me little love bites on my hand when we wake up. I have wondered if he has some coon in him because of the water issue we've had from the beginning. I've tried big bowls, little ones, clear glass ones, one small one in a big one, name it I've done everything I know to do. He stands with front paw in dish while drinking then takes his paw and dips it out all over floor. Puts his toys in the water, I don't understand why. Ive moved water away from his food. I just don't know, have you seen any of your kittys doing this. Also he has never purred. He carrys the teddy bear around that hes had since being my boy, put hes teddy in water dish.He thinks teddy is a girl kitty and has his way with her or it, whatever! He talks to me all the time but its not a meow, it's the sound mama cats make when they talk to their babies. He has started meowing real loud during night, sometimes. Hes an great hunter although hes never been outside since he became mine. I absolutely love this sweet strange beautiful boy, Buddy. Didn't mean to ramble on but Ive never had a feral kitty and I just enjoy all his ways.
Pamela, cats like their water bowls away from their food. So happy you have your boy, thank u for giving him a home. U wernt rambling it was an expression of your love for your furbaby.
Ditto is indeed a good kitteh -- but the kitteh featured here is Boo, from the days of his outdoor socialization and training by the Lady. I hope to see you in chat during the premiere.
@@Linda-in9ns Not age, but attention: Ditto's journey is the most recent one -- and, not only that, but he seems to be following Boo's playbook faithfully. When you watch the Boo Saga (Boo Days), you'll see a lot of Boo's behavior, and especially his interactions with the Lady he so deeply loves, that will ring familiar to you from seeing Ditto behaving quite similarly. (Besides, loving kittehs keeps us all youthful where it counts, so don't mention "old age," as you're only as old [or young] as you feel; if one thinks about it, for adults age is like shoe size, in that it is useful only in a very narrow context and is otherwise irrelevant. 😉)
@@semperfi818 I was just noting how similar Ditto and Boo are in behavior and both in love with the Lady 🥰 So cute how affectionate they are. They're going to be in big competition for her attention!
@@abigailh7715 Right you are -- and to be honest, I've been most concerned about how Boo deals with Ditto, as that could be critical to the eventual success of Ditto's integration. If Boo senses Ditto as any competition for the Lady's love & attention, then it's on; however, I would rather focus on the fact that Boo has shown sincere concern for Ditto as he recovers, and visualize a future in which they bond and become great friends, or at least learn to respect one another -- but as with Stella's bond with the Lady, Boo will have to learn to share just a bit more, which has always been difficult for him where love is at issue. (I do remember Boo being able to leave the panther's share, as it were, of the food for Stella when the Lady fed them together outside, as he recognized that she needed it more to feed their family -- of course, Boo had already eaten some, and he's never been anywhere near as food-motivated as Stella. That said, when the two each claim a leg of the Lady post-shower, the tension between Boo and Stella becomes palpable, because her love and undivided attention mean far more to Boo Velvet than do crunchies.)
Kittie can be hypnotized by VERY lightly stroking their forehead when they are in a receptive mood. You know that you have succeeded when they close their eyes, and they stop purring. Take a little patience.

@@chezmoi42 That sure sounds like our friend Maria...and it's good to see you again! I thought of you recently when an Instagram friend wrote of gathering a bunch of lamb's-quarters for a friend of hers; what would you do with those in a foraged meal, I wondered...and I'm glad to see you here, enjoying this nostalgic look at the Boo Saga. Be well and happy, and hugs to your feline contingent.
@@semperfi818 Hi, CR! Good to see you, too. Lamb's quarters? Yum, one of my favorite trailside snacks. What would I do with it? Add it to a salad in the springtime, but at this time of year I'd treat it like spinach, maybe sautéed with potatoes and onion, or baked with feta in filo rollups? Last Sunday we were out on a mushroom outing in the woods near Montsoreau, and I ran across lots of garlic mustard, another favorite. Chopped some up into cream cheese for a spread, and used the rest in an omelet with mushrooms.
@@chezmoi42 Sounds like a delightful bit of cuisine there; I'm going to have to learn the local flora and try some foraging myself...and anything that handles like fresh spinach is already something I'd thoroughly enjoy. Thanks for the intel.
That amount of water Boo drank is concerning. Makes me wonder if he ate a mouse or other rodent that had ingested poison. Extreme thirst is what ends up killing the rodents after they eat poison. I worry about outdoor kitties and birds who eat these poisoned rodents. Thank goodness he had that giant bowl of fresh water you provided. Otherwise he could have been a gonner. You're awesome to love and help them the way you do. My rescue kitty has grown so much from watching your show. She came to me not knowing how to communicate with a person, or even knowing how to play. Your shows really helped her! It took a couple years, but now she knows how to communicate with us, and she knows how to play. She loves watching the other kitties. She's my buddy. 😻
