I've watched this video at least 5 times in anticipation of mine coming (today hopefully) 😁. You did a great job of taking your time with each part without coming across as overly long. I like that you made a video without a thousand stickers and all that. Totally fine for those who are into that, but so many ladies do so much of it, it would stress me out more then anything. Again not saying they are wrong, and if that brings them joy good for them, but that would be wrong for me. So I truly thank you for your time and effort in informing all of us, great job!
i love the idea of the vertical yearly calendar as a tracker. I have been fretting about getting my habit tracker in the Hobonichi and never thought to use the calendar for it. Thank you for the amazing idea!

I'm going to use this for budgeting. The habit tracker in the front will be used for my daily tips that I make and maybe for outgoing spending. Then the monthly I will enter the bills amount and due date. The lined monthly before the daily entries will be for monthly expenses and debt tracking and the daily entries will be used for vision boards and current mood/ journal entries.
Thank you for showing the English planner. Last year I bought the A5 and I regret it, was too big and heavy for every day carry (I'm a commuter and I carry my lunch and a book everyday) and the colours just put me off. This year I bought the English planner because is more plain to journal and the weeks for EDC because I love the horizontal spread that I used already in moleskine. Moleskine A6 is too small and the paper has been loosing quality along the years. I really hope that my choices this year are the right ones because buying an hobonichi gets very expensive to me. I'm still waiting for my planners to arrive.
I love this and your video convinced me to finally go ahead and buy the A6! I have been attached to my A5 forever but just don't ever use the weekly portion. I also had no idea the Hobonichi was a vegan product, so all the better. :) Cheers!
The pages are quite transparent but it doesn't bother me at all - the ink stays on the surface of the paper, so it doesn't interfere with the writing on the other side.

Hi! What was the shipping like from the Hobonichi store? Was it crazy expensive and did you get taxed a load? And how long did it take? I can't find much info online about the hidden costs on line for ordering to the UK!
I was planning to get the Hobonichi Techo (same as last year), stumbled upon your video and now I am having second thoughts. Wondering if it would get too bulky to have the whole year in a single book (as opposed to the techo which comes in two)?
I always get the whole year version as opposed to the Avec and it's fine, but I don't put a lot of stickers in. If you're worried about that and don't mind not having the whole year together in one book, the Avec is a good option.
The reason why i want to buy ENGLISH IS SO I COULD READ THE QUOTES. BUT THE NEED TO BUY THE AVEC IS KNOCKING ON MY DOOR BECAUSE I ALWAYS BREAK THE SPINES OF MY JOURNALSSSS
You warned me long ago that the English version was plain and I didn't listen. I bought one and am having doubts about it. The color is boring and I find the quotes bizarre. For 2020 (how's that for forward planning?), I am going back to the original Planner [along with the beloved Cousin]. I do like the information found in the back but I too am using this one as a diary. Guess I'll try inks or water colors...thanks for continuing to share your journey with us.
