You were blowing through the wake. Once you get the pre-hop timing right, it's pretty easy. Congrats, bro. I built a high horsepower lightweight carbon fiber backflip ski 5 years ago. It was so easy even on flat water. It's a cheater ski IMO. The funniest thing was my best friend Whiskey throttled my ski and his hand wouldn't let go of the throttle. He looked like a rag-doll on an angry dolphin at seaworld. 😂😂

I've been riding stand up jet skis for over 35 years and this is one of the few stunts I cannot do. I'm nervous to attempt it because of the weight of the ski landing on me when I don't manage to pull it off.
Seriously I wouldn’t attempt unless you have the jet ski for it. If you atleast have footholds you have a chance and I would try. However if you do have the proper jet ski I am only human, so if I can do it so can you!!!
@@Tr4dTV Was going to ask you the same. My ski has an 800 polaris with every bolt on EME offered in one of his old Signature hulls. Modified sxr bottom and polaris octane top, carbon fiber and glass hybrid. Weighs less than a superjet and I'm at around 150hp. Setback pump, total loss, novi 48... the whole deal. It's pretty fun.
That ski should probably do the trick after a couple try’s. I have a 2021 Rickter ninja V2 with a 701 B pipe MSD enhancer light weight flywheel and I’m running 200 PSI in the cylinders.
i also bought a rickter ninja pro v2 with dreams of backflipping. Mine has a 1100 DASA in it... but I dont have any boat friends to give me a setup wake... ive taken it out like 30 times, but just dont have the balls to try flipping it.... LOL So i just hop around instead. Wish you lived in arizona and I could ride with you. :-)
@@jasoncrawford6257 this year is a 967 just had it dialed and it will flat water flip but broke a trim cable yesterday stay tuned because video footage will be coming out soon
Honestly all said and done around 20 BUT!!!! We did all of the work assembling, tuning, building the 700cc and the 967cc. It sounds easy but we probably have about 50 hours in maintenance building the 967 was the hardest along with tuning it

I had a 96 superjet I chopped 3in off in the rear with a 850 dasa and a mod pipe. I couldn't flat water it. Only hit plate to plate off of a boat wake a few times. Nose stabbed it more then anything
@@jeffbryner5355 I have a supper jet too and I didn’t release how hard they are to jump with no power upgrades. everything on the rickter now was on the SJ besides the high compression head. I’m so hyped for next session!!!
Haha funny you say that, got close to buy a KV engine for the rickter. last minute my dad and I scored a deal on a 2020 ET in the box 967 kit. that engine will go in next year with a laydown pipe.
@@Tr4dTV Worst I bought a new unit in August it grenaded in 45 minnutes had to disassemble entire engine and send broken parts back to krash before they would replace anything
@@nlracing6847 that’s crazy, I personally don’t know anyone with a krash. my rickter build quality is spot and the way the hull handles is fantastic but dealing with Curtis and the process of actually getting the ski was something I would not wanna do again. the ski was like 7-8 months late and was lied to countless time.

They are loads of fun, I’m sure sooner or later you will end up with something that can backflip I started off with a SX650 3 years ago.

At a young age a helmet saved my life in a dirt bike crash. I never flip without one!

No it didn’t, was just really tiring. The worst of it would be that sting of getting water in my nose because I ran out of air to blow out.

Just go for it every year it’s gonna be harder and harder just dropped in the big engine for me this year so definitely flat water this year
yeah I have the same problem, just don't have the balls to just send it, but with an 1100 you shouldn't need a boat wake to do it.

What engine do you have in there?
A 701, thats right about 100hp. MDS, light weight flywheel, slightly advanced timing, high compression head and a B pipe.
