Hey Matt I think the interior review portions of your videos are some of the best out there. I think you should do a side-segment of popular mainstream cars where you solely review the interiors (i.e. the materials, build quality, infotainment etc)
For at least some of us there will also be a tax credit which writes down more than half of that $9,000. The gas savings will depend upon the driver but part of it is also the PHEV being the best option for the environment in a lot of places. If you've got $75,000+ to spend for a new car then adding a few extra thousand for that environmental impact alone might be worth it for some people (while still being able to go on a road trip without the range anxiety of the BEVs.) Nice review. I appreciate that you didn't do what so many reviewers have done with the T8s, declaring that with that much power it should be a sporty (i.e. German style) car. I'm glad Volvo has charted their own course here and that some of the reviewers, like you, recognize that and show an appreciation for a car that isn't trying to be a BMW/Audi/Porsche/Mercedes.
I plan to buy a Volvo x90 later this year. I will buy the $60,000 vehicle. The electric vehicle is impressive, however it is not practical. I do enjoy watching all of the reviews.
Is this is a serious question on a car youtube channel? One's a full-size luxury hybrid SUV and the other is a muscle/sports coupe. Damn you sound dumb.
I like that Volvo has integrated the touchscreen into the dash vs. doing an ugly bolt-on like Mercedes and a lot of other automakers are doing these day.
Please be more specific. You mention the front and rear was tweaked for 2020. What does that mean? Grill is curved and metal plate in the back. There are bottons on back of stearing weheel?? What do they do? Had to stop watching.
The XC90 is a really beautiful car but I don’t like that it’s a big SUV with a four-cylinder A straight six would make sense for a large vehicle like the XC90
Beautiful and great Review can you do that video where your wife Review her car because you said that she had a new Mercedes Benz C-Class I would love to see a review
This car just doesn’t compete in this class. I’m in the market and just test drove a fully loaded t6 inscription yesterday. The drive was just unrefined - loud rough engine noise, loud road noise, bouncy ride, etc. for $70k+ fully loaded, the x5, GLE or q7 are much nicer choices if you don’t need the 3rd. This would make a lot more sense if you see it in the 50k range.
Drove one. Pure EV mode is undrivable, way too slow - prepare to get honked at constantly by other drivers. Combined mode, WAY too much power in the front. WAT too little power in the back. Result: Holy balls torquesteer. Salesdroid explained that eliminating physical knobs and buttons for the climate control was a "safety feature" and "volvo wants you to use voice control". Proceeded to try to demo voice control, which didn't work at all. Limiting the entire lineup to 2.0T is silly, especially for a vehicle this heavy. Turbocharging and supercharging the weeny 2.0T to within a fraction of a millimeter of blowing up is not good for long term reliability.
How is 300hp from a 2.0 litre engine “within a fraction of a millimetre of blowing up”? There is no real need for 6 cylinders in a car of this type any more.

still looks absolutely amazing, love it! it's gonna age very well.
I don't know why, but I've always liked the XC90
Hi Matt. Nice vid. Liked before watching because I knew it was going to be good
The person providing the review does an great job. Another review that confirms my plan to buy xc90!

Man that interior is gorgeous

It looks nice Matt but for my $$, and living in California, I’ve decided on the Audi eTron which gives me over 200 miles on a single charge 👍🏻
Great review, Stunning design!
After driving most T8 models, they have one thing in common that’s a deal breaker for me and that’s how bad the torque steer is.
nice review! thank you
At this price there’s no excuse for a lack of arm rests
Benjamin Mathew there is no center console
Rather have leather or wood for shift knob.
Would this fall into an Explorer competitor or Expedition? (Edit): In terms of size not price..
This is closer to Explorer size.
Backroad at 12:00
I think the XC90 would be a great vehicle for the wife
Imagine the XC90 with Polestar parts
Great review! What about adjusting climate control while driving? It seems distracting and dangerous if using the touch screen.
Thanks! I didn't find it distracting because the buttons are large and most people only need one or two taps to get the temperature they want.
@@MattMaranMotoring Good to know. Thanks.
11:53 and here we go!
Love Volvo great cars
I guess telluride is very light since they are little over 4000lb
love these xc90s
Ur 1st
$88k for this top trim is Swedish insanity!
Good review Matt - pricey indeed...
How does this driving experience feel, compared to your Bullitt re daily use?
It’s hard to compare them because they’re very different vehicles.

This would look good sitting next to my D-SRT. I'll drive this when I need to save on some gas money 😁
I like that Volvo has integrated the touchscreen into the dash vs. doing an ugly bolt-on like Mercedes and a lot of other automakers are doing these day.
Well, Volvo's r more reliable then Mercedes
* COUGH * FORD EXPLORER *COUGH *
Thank you for speaking English--The other reviewer spoke English, but I still didn't understand. Nice review.

Cheaper on taxes. Makes sense. Besides that, the car will stay 90% in the city driving on short distances
It’s a really nice SUV
I love the new design language Volvo has
But c’mon a straight six would be nice
I love the design more
straight 6 ups the emissions and will affect tax etc.
Beautiful and great Review can you do that video where your wife Review her car because you said that she had a new Mercedes Benz C-Class I would love to see a review
I think he'll review it soon
Bob The Hopefully
We’ll be filming it this fall.
Matt Maran Motoring I can't wait for da review
got a 2006 xc70 200,000 miles , purrs like a kitten
lol 3rd, such a good looking SUV. Engines are a little lackluster.
lol
Can’t believe this all started with a Subaru BRZ
Door cup holders are useless. Cups sit at a tilt
Where the electric engine in this car i can't see it ?!
Tank 👍👍
Average trunk space? Average?!
Review: 2020 Volvo XC90 T8
How come you have a black key with a white interior?
I’m not sure, a few other journalists there wondered that.
You can buy the black key or any other color. You can also buy wood key ;)

I guess I can say it’s my daily 😆

It's starting to look outdated... Well it's a 4 year old design, time for a facelift?

Should ‘of’ ? Please, please, please it’s should ‘have’
Your grammar fail really undermines your automotive arguments.
Ugly interior dashboard sucks
What happened to your channel, used to have German cars and now it's this, American crap and Lexus
Nobody watches the German cars on this channel. But I will have 5 more German car reviews this year, one next week.
German cars are really crap!
