Thanks for that. When I restored my 2500M, I didn't put the ashtray back but the interior looked so austere all in black. So I put the ashtray back for a little 'bling'. While I was polishing it before reinstalling, I lost one of the springs but since it worked acceptably with one spring I did nothing. Now I will be buying 2 new springs.
Thank you, David, I kind of like the bling of the chrome. Thank you for commenting, and the content you have entertained me with over the years and answering the occasional question. Hope it isn't too cold for you now, looking forward to seeing what your winter project will be.
Well done! It's always so much better when work the way they were intended! Cheers.
Thank you, Kevin.
That was very satisfying.
Thanks Bro. Do you know what a Nash Metropolitan is?

LOL, okay, helped at least one person so it was worth making. It felt a little silly shooting the video, so I wasn't sure.
@@DEMOGarage Just ordered a pair of the springs. Will keep the one remaining old one as a spare. Thanks again.
Nice. What about doing a black crackle finish on the lid? Might keep it a little cooler on your arm.

Change holder or in my case, a place to hold all my loose screws Lol.
Good Idea, put some quarters in there for the meters and to hide the rust in the bottom.
