- Here is the sate of my rock n roller r12 camera (Utility) cart. We went from the short configuration to the long so it could accommodate all the camera essentials. With some custom modifications like, top shelf walls, Velcro under slung containers and a baby pin work station. This camera cart is shaping up to be a real time saver.
7 years and I've STILL yet to see anybody else do the "under velcro" trick!
You mentioned my suggestion of labels! When we get around to adding Velcro over the whole underside we should just add it to the sides of the angle iron and use something like filter tags for a matte-box, that way if we move containers around on the underside, it's easy to re-label.
Nice video man. I was really curious about that cart because I'm looking into getting one myself. Review videos of it are tough to come by. Thanks for taking the time.
Awesome cart set up. Love the idea of the ronin docking station.
cool job! you're the tom cruise of the videomakers! ;)
I basically have the same setup, ramps, grip-n-gaf and all. The only difference is my gear. I also have the same complaints as you. I looked into the Matthew's Kerri Kart. it is almost perfect but I think I can do better for cheaper. I am going to draw up some plans and build it myself in my dad's shop or have a local welding shop build it for me. Nice video!
Dude, you read my mind (two years ago) about the Cosco cart
Paul D Green I need to do another video. This cart had changed quite a bit in the last year or so.
Not sure why I haven't seen many of your vids. Gonna change that. Cool!
Paul D Green thanks dude
I've got the same cart, it's a cool cart for the price. Thanks for the idea on the containers underneath. That is a good idea with the ramps, can you add a link were you got them?
What pin did you use for the Ronin stand? Been looking for a baby pin with threads... Can't find it.
Really interested in getting the same cart after watching this. Where did you get your ramp from? I've been looking around but all the ones I find are way overpriced and too narrow.
Sorry looks like I didn't reply as of yet. But the ramp I use to get it on and off the truck is a aluminum one from harbor freight
⚠HOW TO FIX THE SHELF WOBBLE - - > extend the lower level OUT and lock with wingnuts underneath. It creates pressure on the top shelf and eliminates the leaning of the upper shelf system. I use a custom RockNRoller setup for location sound, similar size. I was fed up with the constant shifting while mounting lav mics. LMK if this helps someone.
Hey good point. I will have to try that.
Hey, man. Great vid and insight... love the velcro idea. What cart is that Director cart? Looks like the standard home depot 'Luxor' cart but the wheels look very nice as opposed to the small crap ones you get.
This is the Rock-N-roller cart with the shelves attachment.. not a bad cart.
@@CammonRandle the grey 'director cart' in the background?
@@JackChapman That's just a utility cart from Harbor Fright. I just put big tires on it. I need to do a cart update, I have changed a number of things again.
Cool Video. What's the brand of the other cart? Rubbermaid?
I believe they call it a Haul-Master it's a harbor freight cart but I put on big old fat wheels on it afterwards..

Hey! I wasn’t able to find a babypin with a screw long enough to be mounted at the ronin station. Where did you get yours?
The baby pin I have has the 1/4-20 female so I then just got a regular 1/4-20 bolt from the Home Depot as long as I wanted... check and see if that thread coming out of the bottom of your baby pin can be taken out leaving just then 1/4-20 tap.
@@CammonRandle Oh didnt think of that! Thanks! Im gonna get one now!
