I freakin love when you sing your words! Always enjoy watching your videos! They always put me in a good mood! Thanks Jesse!
Hi! I'm from Italy and if you're interested I think that, Love letters of Abelard and Lilly is actually a retalling of Lettere di Abelardo ed Eloisa. It was pretty famous in Italy and in France in the medieval age, then it became a best seller in the 1670's. The plot it's similar, it's pretty cool that someone did a retalling about this.
Ps: I love your videos ;)
This month I bought WAYFARER, TOWER OF DAWN, INTO THE MAGIC SHOP, and the HARRY POTTER SERIES
"I could barely throw a baseball ball" 😂😂😂😂😂😂. Adding all this book to my TBR pile that never ends. Thanks Jesse 😫❤️
It's rare when authors come to my state :')
Can't wait to check out these awesome reads!
I've bought Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas, The Sun and her Flowers by Rupi Kaur, Everyone's an Alieben when your an Alieben too by Jonny Sun, and The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. They are suppose to be coming today so I'm sitting at the door waiting for the UPS truck! 🤣😂
Can always count on you to add more books to my TBR Jesse!! Also that clone moment.. 😂😂😂
Earlier this month I bought the grisha trilogy because I LOVED the Six of Crows duology and I need more from that world. I also bought the Martian earlier this month, and yesterday I got When a Monster Calls, and Our Dark Duet. I'm also probably going back to Barnes and Nobel later this week so I'm probably getting more XD
I suggest starting with Before I Let Go! And the books I’ve bought this month are: Unearthed, Zenith, Lucky In Love & Love, Lists and Lies 💕
Thanks Jesse for adding more books to my TBR list T_T
Love you jesse!! R u gonna do an updated bookshelf tour? Because i would looovve to see how much your bookshelves have expanded over the years
Your channel is as addicting as books
Ive started 'unearthed' and IT IS AMAZING! Loving your videos Jesse!
For this January, I first bought The Crown's Fate by Evelyn Skye, next are The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee and Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia. I also bought the 1st and 3rd book of Genesis of Shannara series by Terry Brooks because it was soooo cheap and Our Dark Duet and A Gathering of Shadows, both by V.E Schwab. And last but not the least, Six of Crows Duology by Leigh Bardugo, in which i'm excited to read again 😍
Ooooh Before I Let Go is so intriguing!! Your One and Only seems very interesting as well.
I've heard of all of these besides As You Wish and I need it!!!
The example of meet cute!! Lol loved it.
I should be studying but nothing will ever stop me expanding my TBR. Especially when it’s Jesse giving the recommendations
‘What the poop’, you’re so cute, Jesse. I super love your content! You really are a great booktuber; one of the best! :D
Your liveshow is on my birthday. February 3rd. Love your videos!!
I find it great that you mentioned the author event; super helpful Jesse. 😊
Hey Jesse, I just realized that you do such a good job at explaining the synopsis of the books (telling us what the book is about but not giving away anything from the book). It's just perfect. I got Harry Potter (Chamber of secrets) and (Prisoner of Azkaban) and 'Snow like Ashes' by Saraa Rasch this january.
Omg I'm so excited to hear all of your thoughts on Your One & Only!!!! That sounds so amazing & I instantly just added it to my goodreads list! Terrifying clones sound amazing to me
aah before i let go! im so excited to read it. i actually live next to the town where she grew up, which is pretty great😊 i’ll deffo join you guys this month
I love how enthusiastic you are for all of these books, you made me excited as well! Also, the editing while talking about clones is on point 👌
I think I would be more interested in discovering the planet rather than calculating how worthy it is, since I never care about money (and maybe I should, because I will go broke otherwise) 😂
Can't wait for Booksplosion liveshow!
These broken stars ahhhh that trilogy was so amazing!!!! Can’t wait to read their new book! I love love sci-fi!!!!
Seeing Meet Cute everywhere and I need it immediately!! I just picked up The Cruel Prince and Ive heard amazing reviews for it, so super excited to jump into that!
I am thoroughly regretting watching your and Reagan's January videos because, of course, my tbr has just gotten bigger again. As You Wish and Meet Cute sound like books I need to read in February. I recently bough Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine and The Cruel Prince, both of which I am really excited to get through!
I got The Thousandth Floor, which is a futuristic sci-fi novel, as well as it's sequel, The Dazzling Heights. Both are AMAZING. Along with that, I hauled some classics, got Rainbow Rowell's 'Carry On', Zusak's 'The Book Theif', 'The Hate You Give', and FINALLY got my hands on the entire Shadowhunters series. There's more, but if I kept going it would take about an hour.
I recently finished Meet Cute and I thought it was really fun and adorable! I hope you enjoy it!
I want to read the love letters books! That's why I love your vids I always find about books I may never have heard of before :)
I picked up Unearthed and I’m super excited! I love sci fi!
I'm so excited to see you're going to be reading As You Wish too!
I haven’t got any books in January (I’ve been sick) but on Saturday my moms gonna get me A Wrinkle in Time, and I’m really excited!
My copy of Before I Let Go came in yesterday so YAY! EXCITED
I'm obsessed with your videos!! 😍
I just picked up Eliza and her Monsters, and LOVED it! I also picked up Iron Gold, but have yet to read it.
The cover for Your One and Only looks beautiful 😍 I really want to read Meet Cute and I’m hoping I get some money to buy it for a Valentine’s Day read.
Hello! I am so happy I just discovered your super cool channel! The books I got this month were: Howard's End by E.M. Forster, the B&N special edition of Renegades by Marissa Meyer, The Ask And The Answer by Patrick Ness, Monsters Of Men by Patrick Ness, Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur, The Sun and her Flowers by Rupi Kaur, a signed edition of Turtles All The Way Down by John Green, and The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah.

As someone with ADD (was diagnosed back when ADD and ADHD were still considered separate so still refer to it as that) I find it hard to wrap my head around not taking meds getting you into detention. Unless the MC is someone who really acts up when off them, there's no reason I can think of for that to happen.
Edit: Just looked up the book. One character has ADHD and the other Aspergers (Autism)? Am I the only one with both that never ended up in detention?! Ok, a bit melodramatic but it still feels odd to see two characters in the same book who each have one of my diagnoses.
Boydgirl
No my little brother has ALL of those and he’s never been to detention and knowing him, that’s surprising
indeed! hearing about this book has made me question a lot of things.. it kinda makes me angry idk i'm afraid this book is going to portray us as 'different' and a cliché. I have ADHD and my brother has asperger's so I know what both are like. To answer your question, I've been in detention a lot but that was always because I was late to class (not on purpose, my head is always elsewhere). I really like you @jessethereader but I was very pissed off when you said it isn't smart to ditch on ADHD medicine... You have no idea what it's like to take those pills
1) It's better for your health to not take them
2) we are not crazy! we only take them so we can handle every day tasks like studying, but we can live a perfectly normal life without
3) I HATE those pills because often they make me feel sick, give me headaches, they can also make me very sad (they have a depression hazard). But I need to take them if I want to keep up with my university studies... At 14 I decided to ditch them for 1 semester and my grades dropped so quickly I went from 98% to 40% (and I was trying really hard because I wanted to prove that I could study without them...).I personally think ADHD is the least understood mental 'illness' because people are very rude about it. I've had 'friends' who ditched me as soon as I told them, they then continued on to bully me. Others got angry because it was 'unfair' that I could take those pills and others just ask to hook them up with some pills (which i never do, for their sake). So now I never tell anyone anymore, and I can hear what people say about other people with ADHD behind their back, they think we are crazy lol
sorry for the rant lmao that's what happens when you let my mind wander :D
I get it. My mom got me to stop taking them after it seemed like I might be having seizures again. I tried again, years later, but would forget to eat too often. Also, I always had mood swings when I came off it, even when I was little. So I get that.
I'm sorry to hear you had such bad experiences with people knowing you have ADHD. I guess I was lucky since no one I went to school with really cared that I had ADD, or had to take medicine for it. I never really told anyone when I moved on to middle school or high school; not because I didn't want anyone to know, but because it was just a fact and not something I felt needed to be said. . . if any of that makes sense.
yes that makes a lot of sense! and omg the food thing is so real! if no one brings me food I can go the entire day without eating because i'm just not hungry! And the experiences weren't all bad, two of my close friends who know are very supportive :). the others well... they proved they weren't good friends after all so i'm better off without 'em
Yeah, I've had "friends" like that in the past. Usually they'd try to pass off some mean comment as a "joke" and I was always shocked that they expected me to believe that BS. Always better off without those types.
In January I got: a shadow bright and burning, a poison dark and drowning, red queen series, Elenor and park, when we were worthy, tales from the shadowhunter academy, shadowhunters codex, secondborn, four, shatter me, ignite me, unravel me, and the entire Sherlock book-series💖💖😍😍😍😍
