Poison Ivy, a Super Villain or simply a lover of Mother Earth? … Whether Halloween, Cosplay, Role-play, or a themed party - here is a step by step HOW-TO | DIY Poison Ivy Cosplay Costume Tutorial that will have you ready to take on the DC Comics Universe. *FUN FACT* Prior to this past year, I hadn’t dressed up for Halloween in years but my cute nephew had a Superheroes and Villains themed birthday ( October baby) and told each member of the family who he wanted us to be when we showed up. Clearly, I couldn’t let him down, haha. I had to show up like the true Comic Villain he was expecting! I couldn’t find one for purchase how I envisioned it in my head, so I decided to create the costume myself. Truthfully, I find the creation process as much fun as wearing it, making it only more special and rewarding. I filmed it just in case others found themselves in the same boat, wanting something more elaborate than what they could find online and excited to get creative.
In this DIY Poison Ivy tutorial, I will show you the HOW-TO for the bodysuit, fingerless gloves, hose, and optional sarong ( for kid friendly parties). If this tutorial resonates well, I can include a tutorial on how to cut a lace front wig as well and how to do make up for red hair. The best part about the bodysuit that I am going to share with you today is that it is completely versatile, so if in the future you go as Tinkerbell or Eve ( Adam & Eve), you could very well reuse the bodysuit, change the wig and makeup, and remix it up for a completely different look and vibe. Thank you! ☺️❤️ … Hahaha I just hiked those suckers up! 😂😂😂 … I think it was made to start the lime green at the thighs but I shimmied them higher until under the bodysuit. Once under the bodysuit, it’ll be nice and hidden. Every once in a while, you may have to scooch it back up since if it peeps out the side. I’m sure they make cute green hose without the leg color, but I just really liked the sparkle and metallic part in this pair that I was determined to make it happen. 😂😂❤️

Yay!! So exciting!! Makes me happy to hear!! 😁 ... I used the lighter lime green mainly for outlining the leaves but then I also used it along side the darker green marker as a shadow ( to give a little 3D pop 😉) for the arm sleeves. Hope that helps! 😊

Hahaha, I just hiked the hose way up! 😂😂😂❤️ … they may have a nice green hose without the neon, but I just really loved the metallic on this so was determined to make it work lol 😂❤️

I didn’t bc it was for my nephew’s superhero themed birthday 😂😂 haha he picked each of our characters to show up as lol… I figured with family, I could save time, skip the back 😂💚 … but if I were going out, I’d probably have done the back as well 😊 … if you want to do the back, you can just double my numbers 💚💚
