We got the chance to talk with one of the CEOs of Bad Cat, Peter Arends, about their latest products.
The Jet Black was designed with one goal in mind: to bring the Black Cat’s legendary sound to guitarists who needed more volume. This powerful amplifier has everything you need for a big sound. With its 38 watts of power, you’ll get everything from subtle overdrive to full-on, raging distortion. The two channels are fully independent, allowing you to mix and match different sounds. You won’t be disappointed with the Jet Black - it’s sure to turn heads at your next gig or jam session. Get ready to rock out loud and proud with the Bad Cat Jet Black Guitar Amplifier Head!
We also spoke about a few new products that haven’t quite hit the market, like their new Rubicon 2 Channel, 25-watt tube amp head with full midi implementation. It’s a lunchbox style amp so it’s super transportable without sacrificing any of the tone!
Bad Cat is also increasing their cab line with their brand new 3x12 speaker cabinet. The perfect blend of power from a 4x12 with the tightness of a 2x12.
And who doesn’t love new pedal? Bad Cat is launching their own pedal line with the goal of totally new and proprietary designs. Right now, the line consists of a few different pedals with more to come. So far, we have: a fuzz, an octave fuzz, a cbd (a drive pedal that ranges from a clean boost to a heavy overdrive), and a heavy distortion over drive with a hi and lo mode.
And if that wasn’t enough, Peter also brought with him the Ampete 442 Amp Switcher from his company Ampete to now be fully distributed un the Bad Cat name. The 442 offers unprecedented flexibility when switching amplifiers, effects loops and speaker cabinets in a single rack. 442 offers mono, dual mono, true stereo, wet/dry/wet operation, and WiFi connectivity, all monitored on a brand new integrated TFT screen and controlled either natively or remotely. Whether you're a professional musician, amp collector, studio engineer or just a sound lover, the 442 offers unparalleled performance in a safe, noise-free, and reliable package that's a perfect fit for your rig.

Totally. I mean, how could any player possibly enjoy a huge guitar show without the presence of massive VC backed corporations releasing yet another version of the same guitar they've been selling for decades? Screw passionate, independently owned small manufacturers who care about their customers, right? In fact, let's just get rid of everyone at NAMM except Gibson, Fender, Roland and Yamaha.
