    Don't forget to solder the other end of that remote ground (the side at the star ground)! :)

    It doesn't matter whether or not the grid stopper resistor is snug to the pin or 1/2" away... electronically it is the same.

      I've seen some folks say it does. It's not going to hurt to do this.

    I notice that you just put the wire or lead through the hole and solder rather than first making a good physical connection as Mark Blueglow has advised in his build videos.

      I've never run into problems myself but that's not a bad idea if someone wants to take that extra step of complication. If I was building something subject to movement or vibration I would be more concerned. Seems a bit overkill to me.
      I do make sure all safety grounds are done that way.
