Yes Yes Yes Please do another DIY plant shelf (acrylic) video! That would be so great. I really hope you find the time to do it. Thanks again Becca! xoxo
Yes! I would love some more plant craft videos. & for anyone who doesn't want to build one from scratch, I got my acrylic window shelves from Beautiful Views! Best planty purchase yet.
Worm crossing. Lol. I have an aloe where a worm has lived since I got it from the nursery. I replanted in a clear, tall planter and you can see where he makes his roads. About once a week, I feed him pureed rabbit poop (compliments of my awesome bunny), mango, banana and green leaf lettuce. I bottom water the aloe so as not to overwater the aloe, yet give him a juicy place to live and poke around in. I think about adding a friend for him but I'm not sure what to do. And that's my worm story.
I got some sad news about my dad’s health yesterday so I’m not doing great, but I’m watching youtube to fill the void. Always love seeing how Becca is doing
I moved to Lake Ozark MO, from the East Coast 5 years ago and we moved back in mid February during all the snow. Sadly I lost several plants in the move but I lenjoy watching you go through a lot of things I had issues with. It was so cold there, my land was full of rocks and the deer ate all of my hostas. Keep up the good content!
1:43 to answer your question I’m doing great thankyou, just got don’t working eight days in a row without a day off😅 so now I’m catching up on planty videos I’ve missed while trying to decide what I’m going to do with my two days off! I also bought three new plants, which I am thrilled about! A snake plant, a type of Aloe with spikes and a scindapsis that was so big and root bound I had to separate it so it could fit more comfortably in a new pot ahaha. Looking forward to the rest of your video, thanks Becca!🖤
This was a fun video!! I’m excited today because I made my walk goal!! My husband has been driving me to a playground early in the morning so I can walk on the trail. (I became disabled six and a half years ago and was in a wheelchair). I use my walker, but my goal was to walk for a half hour and today I did it!!! It’s definitely a great day today!! 🥰🥰🥰
Morning Becca! Just chilling with my knitting project right now. This is my first year with Cacti outside (Midwest) and I get anxiety every time it rains, so I run out and cover them up or bring them inside. After watching today’s Vlog and your Cacti update, I think I can ease up a little bit 😜 Thank you for that gift. I’d love to see a view of the plants hanging on the railing from the bedroom sliding doors.
Haha! I have mine in extremely well draining soil so I don’t worry too much about them getting too much rain. I am hyper aware to look for rot, though, just in case. But it seems they enjoy the extra rain :)
@@BeccaDeLaPlants I have mine in Tank’s Cactus mix, which I saw when ordering the DeLa Tanks Mix for my Hoyas (Love It!). I can’t believe how many cacti blend soil mixes have sphagnum and perlite (instead of pumice) 😮
Anchorage, AK; it’s 70 degrees, here. It’s pretty hot for us; sun isn’t really setting, anymore. Very, VERY bright ALL THE TIME! Lol. Plants are kinda loving it, though. BF got me a new succulent, today; a Kalanchoe; one I don’t have and have been wanting for a bit.
A advantage for working in the restaurant business here in Europe, are all the beautiful wooden Bordeaux wine boxes I get at work. They’re great for building plant shelves and stands. Just ask owners of fancy restaurants or wine shops, maybe they give you some.
I just got 4 cebu blue and 2 wide form adansonii cuttings for cheap! 2 more varieties to add to my collection and they are rooting so well in water!!!! To say I'm excited to grow these into full plants is an understatement.

Hi and good morning. I have to start by saying that the acrylic shelf *chefs kiss*. Is amazing! I have tried the online ones and I lost a few pots and plants. This is my first year growing tomatoes and I am terrified. I just started them from seed without thinking of where and how I am placing them outside. Have a wonderful day! I love you outdoor content!
Great video Becca! First time gardener here. We just planted over 40 lily bulbs. Going to see what pops up. Waiting to see if our caladiums recover from their droopiness. I started the bulbs inside and they were doing great until they were planted outside. Live and learn I guess.
Hi Becca! I live in the opposite side of the world from you. We're almost out of summer months but of course, being in the tropics means we're never really out of summer. But this year, it was brutal here. All of my plants are outdoors but this summer they got burned. The humidity dropped so the spider mites thrived. I've have just gotten back into plants this last 2wks of June. So far I've bought P. Florida Bronze, ficus umbellata, painted lady, calatheas, 5 hibiscus plants, rojo congo. Yes, in just 2 wks.🤦🏻♀️😁 The most expensive was the florida bronze for $60 but it was a medium sized plant. All the rest were $12 and below but all good sized plants. I'm glad to see your part of the world has finally reached summer. It was hard to relate to the videos of people still having snow and cold weather while we were burning here at 35⁰C and higher.😁 I hope your summer will be much better.
Oh my gosh, that’s so wild that the humidity dropped so much!! Spider mites see the WORST. But it sounds like you’re doing great building up your collection!! Hehe
Drinking coffee and enjoying your video. I have a few on my list and they’re pretty common! I want a Euphorbia white ghost haha so cute. And a Hoya compacta
I got my first ever Alocasia (black velvet) from a local shop and it's putting out a new leaf and i'm SO HAPPY cause I feel like I have now fully succeeded as a plant mum LOL
I moved 3/4 of my plants outside for the summer. They love it outside where it’s constantly humid, especially with all of the rain we’ve been getting. I have some outdoor cactus that are blooming right now, in the winter they shrivel up almost to nothing, looking like they’ve died and come spring they are growing like weeds. Who knew you could grow cactus outside in Michigan!💚🙃
Well, I woke up this morning to a message from a plant friend warning me to check my hoya bella because we ordered them from the same place at the same time, and she just found spider mites on hers 🥴 luckily I treated mine with Captain Jack’s preventatively when it arrived in the mail a few weeks ago, but I still had to go inspect and spray down most of my other plants. I also had to re-treat the Bella and now have it in quarantine!!
I sure hope Daniel is doing okay? He must have had a really nasty hit to the head. My husband worked at a saw mill a hundred years ago, he got hit in the head with a piece of lumber that came flying off the conveyor belt, that really rung his bell for a while. Hoping Daniel is fully recovered soon!💚🙃

Do you by chance? I believe it is a caudex. I will have to research but I am not finding much on UA-cam about it. Ok I wish you the very best day. You are by far my fav. Planty Person. See you soon! xoxo
I love your acrylic window shelf!!! I've been looking for ideas for my large south facing window and I think this just might be it! Will you be doing a step by step tutorial anytime soon or should I go find your prior video where you cut the piece of clear acrylic? Your hanging plants over that balcony are going to look amazing once they start trailing. Love your boho style home : )
Yes! Would love to see a more in-depth DIY video on those shelves! So pretty!..Right now I'm dealing with all the plants I put outside for the summer😕 they're mostly doing well except my porch isn't covered and right on the edge of a wooded area, so there's spiders and ants ALL OVER! I'm not experienced or knowledgeable enough to know what is good or bad for my plants🤔 I even went to repot my ficus Audrey and there was litterally an ANT COLONY in the soil!! I got some stuff to try to control the ant population out there, but..ya know..THE WOODS🤦 anyway, that's what's going on here, lol. ❤🌿
I’ll definitely make an in-depth!! :) also yes I totally understand the living on the edge of the woods problems, we have spiders EVERYWHERE!!! All in my pots hahaha
Melting in CT. Average Temps have been in the high 90's. Plants in my greenhouse are dying from the heat. I can't figure out what to do. It's too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter....lol.
Oh my. I LOVE the clear shelf but I have no luck with command strips... is there some trick to them? I always get the brand name and of the heaviest I can find and they won't hold up anything I use them for. 😭 I love your plant decor ideas though. So beautiful!
Ooooo i didn't realize you had a balcony in your sun room. Surprised it took you so long to add trailing plants. That cebu blue is LUSH! I've been doing okay, thanks for asking 🤪 wedding planning and wedding diys all summer long here. Currently working on a 7' x 7' macrame backdrop. You made one for your wedding too right?
LOL i have the same plant stand and have the same feelings. Everything I wanted to put on it is just a little too tall, and it was kind of a PITA to put together
The pots don’t touch the wall so it won’t damage anything there, and I usually take them down to water & drain in the sink :) for the bacon ones i might just put a tub underneath them and water that way. But we’ll see! I plan on taking them to the sink like the others
Where are those small pots from? The ones one the acrylic shelf. Also, I’m sooooo jealous of that cebu blue. I’ve been 🤞🏼for a miracle that I’ll find a big full basket like that at a big box store.
Hi Becca, may I ask why you only used the sticky tape for the acrylic shelf? Why did you not drill it with screws into the window side? Fingers crossed that it stays stable.
Because I don’t want to drill into my window casing basically! The window frame is metal, not wood, so I’m not sure what sort of permanent damage it would cause and I don’t want to create opportunities for drafts. :p just trying to be extra careful
Yes Yes Yes Please do another DIY plant shelf (acrylic) video! That would be so great. I really hope you find the time to do it. Thanks again Becca! xoxo

I’ll definitely make an in-depth!! :) also yes I totally understand the living on the edge of the woods problems, we have spiders EVERYWHERE!!! All in my pots hahaha
Tomorrow I fly to see my family after not seeing them in person since christmas of 2019!
Hope it all went well!
@@bretwhitten7038 it did thank you so much!
my cacti plumped up soo much to when they got outside and the rain waters them
Trying to grow my hoya collection. The latest is a hoya macrophylla albomarginata.
That’s a pretty one!!
Problably the cutest youtuber ever :)
Awww 🥰🥰
I would try longer screws just for extra strength
Melting in CT. Average Temps have been in the high 90's. Plants in my greenhouse are dying from the heat. I can't figure out what to do. It's too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter....lol.
Can I ask how you water the plants on the wall? Dont they drip out of the bottom hole after watering? Great project btw, looks great!
Ooooh I didn’t make mine!!! Hired it out because that would have been way too stressful 😂 I commend you for taking on that task!
@@BeccaDeLaPlants haha thanks. One layer at a time and I'll get there!
On a positivé note, though- I got a promotion at work and start the new job next week, and then my birthday is the week after that!
I love to hear this!!!
i think im going to risk it for the biscuit and finally buy a philodendron verrucosum
Loved this video, pls could u do a care video on caladiums or alocasia s or philodendron. Any of the above😁😁
Hmmm maybe in the future!! :)
LOL i have the same plant stand and have the same feelings. Everything I wanted to put on it is just a little too tall, and it was kind of a PITA to put together
Hahahaha it was! And I feel like I definitely put it together wrong too
@@BeccaDeLaPlants i think it’s right, it’s just a weird stand. As I was building it, I thought “I’d much rather be putting together ikea furniture” 😂
How do you water your plants when they’re hanging on the wall? Aren’t you worried about water damage to your walls and floor?💚🙃
Thrifted a long time ago!
@@BeccaDeLaPlants yay for thrifting! Such a good find 🙂 also, thank you for providing alternatives to Amazon - I really appreciate that!
@@BeccaDeLaPlants Thanks for the response. Got it :)
