That’s for the shoutout in your description man.
Someone knows if theres a way to fit a 5th gen on a 4th gen tailgate?
the Laramie and 4x4 badges I assumed are glued on the truck?
Removal process for those will be the same thing as well. Video soon to come for removal on those.
We’re did you buy the badge at. Also do you think a eraser wheel would have worked better in that application. I plan on buying a new badge for my 2020
Envision Designs and Printing. Eraser wheel would’ve essentially been the same thing just did not have it available at the time. Heat gun felt more simplified just took a little longer, just not the afterwards cleanup like eraser wheel would’ve had. I plan to remove the side ‘RAM’ emblem soon and will post a video on that, it’s possible I will use the eraser wheel on that project!
@@wittjeremy49 ok I’ll make sure to order an eraser wheel before I do mine thanks for the info
@@nathanwalker2428 no problem
I was the one whom made that for him. My older design for the 5th gens.
How long did you heat the emblem before you pulled it off?
Wtf you just heated it up and the black cover just falls off???
Enough heat gets the adhesive hot enough to pull it, simple process. Just best to take your time and work with it.
You heat up and yes basically work it a bit and it will pull back.. you dont even need to unbolt the tailgate, not sure why he did that?
I feel like this was an example of what not to do.
Heat from the back not the front, save yourself from damaging your OEM badge.
I agree, but in this case I had no intention to re-use the OEM badge.
Not using an eraser wheel on this was painful to watch
Initially that was the plan. But it didn't arrive in time and I got impatient to install. I agree it was more time consuming, but was still the same outcome.
Eraser wheels can mess up the paint if your not careful. Rather take my time and pull them off by hand
