This video was enlightning. Actually, two days ago I've had a little problem about "mental health", but to see that other people, athletes, OLIMPIC ATHLETES have had the same feeling... well, I feel myself less lonely. Thank you, this video will be saved in my playlist "save it and don't miss"

I completely agree with what Simone Biles did at the Tokyo olympics, however, the title of the video is misleading, as olympians seem to be responding to a question among the lines of ' how important do you think mental health is' instead of 'how do you deal with the pressure put on you?'. They don't actually give us an answer :'(

You agree with what she did? You mean like take another competitor's spot at the Olympics, and then quit?

@@Great_Sandwich she didn’t quit, she could have died if she competed with twisties. Google is free - check the symptoms and effects of the medical condition she had.

@@thesilverbanana9771 babes she won a bronze medal at the Olympics. And twisties and an actual psychological/medically acknowledged condition. Dropped out where? Put her health and safety first is far more accurate.

In my opinion, those athletes who can push through the mental barriers and win are the true champions. The greatest are those who succeed despite the greatest adversity.

It may be pressure on someone, but I think the process of turning that pressure into pleasure is a true sports and the Olympics.

Simon: That's the funny thing, you dont

Also Simone: After your parents spent tens of thousands to get you here, and you take another competitor's spot on the team, just quit. Oh, well. What's anyone going to say? They're terrified of being labeled as racist. So, win-win for me!

@@Great_Sandwich y’all are so ignorant. She has won so many medals for USA compared to anyone else and y’all still have the audacity to say anything about her? Y’all are the same people that don’t even know how scoring works in gymnastics and call everything “flips”.

Secondly, she wasn't thinking of the USA when she quit. She was thinking of herself.

@@Great_Sandwich Simone dropped out due to lack of spatial awareness that was caused by a physiological condition called lost move syndrome. I’m a gymnast myself ,so trust me when I that spatial awareness while doing gymnastics is absolutely vital, and losing it while performing at the caliber of an elite gymnast can potentially be deadly.

    • @alenanela1743

You would rather she compete and have a very high chance of fatal injury? She wouldn’t have performed well even if she wasn’t injured. Google is free for you to research the condition that she had. She didn’t take another competitor’s spot, she earned her way to the Olympics and has proven herself to be the greatest female gymnast time and time again. Have some respect.
