- Hello everyone, welcome to SA Today. On 21 September 2024, we will start today's video with heavy snow in Ladysmith, Newcastle and Memel in South Africa today. Then, snow on the road at Pietermaritzburg last night at around 7 pm. Cold wet day at Hatfield, Pretoria. We stay over at the Ocean View guesthouse in Wilderness. We buy meat for the weekend's braai at Ollie's Butchery in Betty's Bay. A bird's eye view from Hangklip to Gordon's Bay and Strand. Then we attend the SPAR ladies' Race after the party in Gqeberha. Hippos out of the water in the Kruger National Park. We stop at the Cemetery in Gordon's Bay in the Western Cape Province. We drive in the rain on the N4 past the Wimpy at Belfast and we will show you more videos around South Africa.
The weather forecast across South Africa today is as follows:
Eastern Cape Province, Free State Province, KwaZulu-Natal Province, and Mpumalanga Province will experience extremely cold, wet, and snowy weather from a powerful cut-off low. Heavy snow is expected, disrupting municipal services and affecting community members' mobility in the northeastern highlands of the Eastern Cape Province, extreme southwestern KwaZulu-Natal Province, the Lesotho-Free State Province corner, and nearby regions.
Be prepared for disruptive snow! For the western highlands of KwaZulu-Natal Province, the central and northern Eastern Cape Province, and the southern and eastern Free State Province, icy roads and mountain pass closures are expected. Be careful! Prepare for intense winds that could make driving difficult and send debris flying in the Northern Cape Province, western Free State Province, and North West Province. Flooding and displacement are expected in KwaZulu-Natal's north-eastern regions due to heavy rainfall. Expect wind and waves to make sea navigation difficult and localised disruptions to harbours or ports between Port Edward and Kosi Bay.

Also in this video, Samancor Brits, swimming and super tube rides at the Kingdom Resort near Sun City, and we spot a bushbuck at the Crododile Bridge Rest Camp. We drive around Addo Elephant National Park, and Gemsbok in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. Approaching the Mother Church, Dutch Reformed Church in South Africa in Stellenbosch and we then end the video today with the flowers in the Jacobsbaai Nature Reserve in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. On an international site I belong to someone posted a picture of traffic stuck on Van Reenens. Hundreds of comments from all over the world didn't believe it snowed in South Africa, some even saying the photo was fake.
@@denisedaly2445 it is in fact snowing in South Africa. I have friends stuck on Van Reenens since last night... We are in contact.
