Thank you for posting this! I was wondering what I was supposed to do in the cave with the rock. I couldn't leave and was out of ideas. I didn't think to travel with the rock itself; genius! Also it was funny seeing you get punked by the quantum cave at 4:20
The maze is poorly designed. In the first section the pointy rocks do not warp around, but in the second section they do. It's established only the black shards can do this, so they break the rules of the game for this section. They could have just put black shards in place of the pointy rocks. There is a way around this maze, don't read any more if you don't want to be spoiled. Go to the cave with the quantum shard in it. Stand on it and turn your light off. When you turn your light back on you'll have traveled with the shard to another location!
the pointy rocks warp in the second section because they are under the influence of the rock the first section is too far from the rock, i think that if an object stay too much time near a quantum rock it will become quantum itself. And in other parts of the game where there is a quantum fragment or on the quantum moon there are random objects warping around.
it's actually established in many places that other things near the quantum shards will also move around: trees, gravity crystals, actual architecture...
in addition, traveling with the rock won't bring you to this cave. i ended up on this video specifically because i was trying to travel with the rock to the lakebed cave and realized it was never bringing me there. i think because the location for the rock is lighted?
I guess the idea is you can't figure out how to use the shard from the two easily accessible caves, but I accidentally figured out I could warp on the shard (this seems likely jumping around a small cave with it?) so I had already seen the third warpable location. The lakebed cave was a pretty big disappointment for me after the difficulty getting there cause it's just "hey, this is where that thing happened".
Or just land at the escape pod and move to the front of the ship (it's cockpit, opposite side of blue beam) and enter the canyon there, over the bridge and through the arches the first cavern in front of you is one of the quantum stone locations. Takes about 30 seconds from landing and no puzzles or killer cactii
If you've visited the tower of quantum trials in giant's deep and see weird shit is happening in this cave (such as turning around the way you came in and finding catcuses that weren't there before) the rest is easy
Honestly wtf why would they make us visit this infernal place, its the same quantum rock from Colosus cave but somehow it doesnt teleport you here, you have to find it yourself for no purpose whatsoever??? Im so mad at this game
At the beginning, the part where you have to work your way up the sand river, how do you jump so high? I cant jump high enough to reach any rock, it's driving me nuts.
they dont disapear when turning off your light. They're quantom objects, so they disapear when you cant see them, you cant see them when theres no light, so thats why they disapear. You would know because theres many quantom objects in the game and its explained in the game that quantom objects disapear when you cant see them
@@GymmyRhys That's true however most people at this point have only seen stones as quantum objects and i beliebe there could have been a little more signposting to explain if not how to get past the causes but at least thevfact that the cactuses ARE quantum objects
@@aether8558 You can learn about it even on the home planet, in the Quantum Grove, but figuring out that in this particular location quantum shard is nearby and cactuses and rocks will have quantum properties is pure luck imo. Normally you would assume, that chosen path is wrong and your stuck to death.
Nice, I see seem to have figured out most of the game on my own. This was one of my last remaining clue things though, just couldn't figure out how to get there and had to resort to this. Literally the only time I 'cheated.'
It doesnt make sense though. Inalways thought the rock was not movibg bc i was standing on it and hence sensing it. Thereby i was causing the measurement problem and not because i was shining light on it. If light was the main issue then it should also move when standing on it and shining the light elsewhere e.g. the seiling.

Haha, that's the weed number
This game gets me frustrated at the end. You got crazy much to do in 21 mins
4:20 made me laugh hard as shit

The video was garbage; this comment is the reason to come here

(After that climb the rock and turn all lights off to teleport here)
Bless you for this comment.
it doesn't work for me
I appreciate you getting right down to business!
This part sucks
What!? Those are quantum cactuses? How could anyone figure that out on there own?
It's actually presenece of near y quantum shard that caused them to do this

I hate this maze. I died getting squashed by the sand a couple of times now trying to figure it out.

@@azanthal Thank you very much!
You have to use the rocket booster to get up, for example on Xbox it's rt and A I think.
Am I missing something? How were you supposed to know that the cactuses would dissappear when turning off your light?
Im in the same boat I have no idea how i was supposed to figure that out other then just dumb luck

@@Smilephile I'm pretty sure you learn that other objects around a quantum shard are affected by it.. in another planet ? i forgot which one.

When. I was doing this the Ash twin decided to start pouring it's sand on me and I got crushed it was funny

Best walkthrough!
Thanks for this, it really isn't a very fun part of the game
These videos are really helpful
I love and hate this game so much
Thank youuuuuuu!!!!!! ❤
This is easily the worst part of the game. How could you do without guide?

Frustrating to say the least...
I hate this fucking game
