What makes this playable without a bass player? Sometimes this still confuses me. I didn’t play with a bass player and I rarely EVER see any tutorials on how to play praise/shout music without one, that DOES NOT involve a bass run.
Hey Tonnie, you can definitely play it the same way that I did in this video without a bass player. I’m playing the bass line with a double octave to give it more punch. When you don’t have a bass player find ways to fill the void by playing the bass line and when you have a bass player find ways to play more chords in the left hand.
@@Treycross3_ thanks for the response, I’ve got a long way to go, I play at church and am SOOOOO tired of doing a basic bass walk with no real variations. The people should be bored because God knows I am lol
@@Treycross3_ moreso just more interesting sounding progressions. I switch up the bass run pattern but it’s still pretty stale, I don’t really have and runs/riffs or variety for my right hand. I’m starting out in Ab and mainly do a lower chord on right hand, the 3 chord trio (flat3, 4, 1) and the B diminished chord resolving to the Ab, as well as the Ab dominant and Db dom. The pattern I use is just sooooo repetitive. My church does a lot of congregational stuff like bless that wonderful name of Jesus.
@@TBb____ I'll definitely look into planning some lessons around praise breaks. I'm not sure about the timeframe yet but it's definitely going to happen.
I’ve always wanted to know how to play . Especially for church
You definitely still can.
awesome
What are the cords your playing can you do a slow Verison.
Amazing!
Thanks for watching!
