As a structural engineer, I SERIOUSLY doubt that the top hat is getting extended. These aren't fucking Legos. You can't just stack 80 more feet on the top of a structure designed to be 420 feet tall. Everything about that structure would need modified to do that, so much so that it would basically be a new tower.
Two things I am sure of: 1. The footer is a spike not a station or launch track. I have watched enough footer constructions during the off season. That footer is huge and deep. It is going way over 200 feet tall, and it is in the right place with the right shape for a spike. 2. No announcement in Aug-Sept. They are doing the same thing as the original TTD construction. They had originally planned to announce at that time, but the hype and speculation grew so much that they delayed the announcement till January. It worked great. They are doing it again. They will drop hints to fuel speculation. Tony already said so. You will probably see the spike topped off before they disclose the height. Extending the tophat makes sense and explains why the crane was there for a short period. Hopefully they can do it without new base supports. If it needed massive new footers, they would already be poured. The spike can get a record. They just go to 600' rather than 500'.
Honestly, I hadn't thought about extending the top hat but not breaking the record with it. It does indeed make sense though because if the spike is going to be record-breaking (500+ feet) then the top hat would need to be taller for that extra speed

I dont think theyll raise the top hat but if they did i could see them go for 460ft to 465ft just to reclaim the tallest coaster in the world title! 500ft isn't gonna happen!
I don't really like the idea of a initial backwards launch since that might cause riders possible neck and back injuries from whiplash. Forward launches are more powerful since riders can brace themselves against the headrests but have nothing in front of them if they were to launch backwards. Backwards launches have to be less intense because of this. I thought of a concept. Since many of us are conflicted as to whether the ride should retain its original launch intensity or have a swing launch/vertical spike. They could give us options on which experience we get kind of like Fury at Bobbejaanland (Forwards and Backwards) or Tornado at Bakken (Non-boost and Boost) with a few switch tracks and probably two stations. Option 1 will be for those traditional intense launch as powerful or close to the acceleration it originally was so with one launch it will go up and over the top hat and onto the rest of the ride. While Option 2 will be for anyone who wants multiple launches with a vertical spike so it will have a slightly slower launch and rollback from the top hat up the spike and then back over the top hat and onto the rest of the ride. That way almost everyone is satisfied!
I don't get how you say "expansions and roller coasters come from two separate budgets". Last I saw Cedar Fair has an annual capital expenditure budget for all expansions at all parks... not one for coasters or even by park. Why don't you just speak the truth. Nobody knows except those that know.
Nah if anything happening to the top hat it will be inverted highest inversion on earth 420ft nobody will beat this in a long time… CP loves records I’ve said this in multiple coaster tubers vids about this…
I'm sorry but this doesn't even sound right, a 500ft top hat!!!!!! you guys act like CF is like Disney or Universal with deep pockets, they spent millions when they RMC Mean streak, they are still in dept that's why they built a wild mouse and move some old rides around and renaming them. How are they going to extend a top hat without Intamin involvement, that's their track design and I don't think another manufacturer wants to duplicate just a top hat track without redesigning the entire coaster. CP not going to spend loads of millions of dollars just to retrofit a almost 20 year old coaster with the same layout, they rather take that and build something new from the ground up that no other park has. In my opinion, I think they are going to refurbish the launch track, add a twisted spike paying amish to wicked twister LOL or a straight track spike not 500ft tho, maybe 300ft/400ft or add a tall loop after the drop like dodonpa at fuji Q highland in Japan and theme the crap out of it, wala!!!!! If that's what they're doing, I would predict the spike will be 420 ft - pay homage to OG Dragster height, and extend the top hat to 500+ ft

Why would you have the footers behind the station if there is no spike?
Some people think it’s for a station extension. I don’t personally believe it to be anything other than a spike.
probably the best video you've made imo
Really? Thank you, that means a lot! I'm glad you enjoyed it 😊😊
Why do you put a bassy beat loop underneath your voice that is louder than your voice? SO irritating and I HAD to had the volume on cause I wanted to hear the info.
Actually I heard 500 ft from a very reliable source
🔥🔥🔥
🙏🙏🙏
I wonder if this inside source is legit or not either way I really like the idea of making the hill bigger I just don't see it happening 🤷♂
Only time will tell 🤷♂🤷♂
I am all for 500ft. 135mph!
KingDa Ka is 456ft. 120mph!
Intamin better be invloved 😡
FACTS 😤
If that thing goes 500ft up then ill move to Ohio
😂👀
I dont think theyll raise the top hat but if they did i could see them go for 460ft to 465ft just to reclaim the tallest coaster in the world title! 500ft isn't gonna happen!
Maybe
RMC T-Rex track 🤷♂️
That's a great idea, I'm just a bit worried about capacity with that setup
Pantheon reverse launch was smooth
@@broadstbullies9342 The acceleration on pantheon isn't as fast or intense as what going from 0-120 would be.
I don't get how you say "expansions and roller coasters come from two separate budgets".
Last I saw Cedar Fair has an annual capital expenditure budget for all expansions at all parks... not one for coasters or even by park.
Why don't you just speak the truth. Nobody knows except those that know.
That is the truth but this is a speculation video so we will ✨speculate✨
Nah if anything happening to the top hat it will be inverted highest inversion on earth 420ft nobody will beat this in a long time… CP loves records I’ve said this in multiple coaster tubers vids about this…
Hmmm
👀👀👀
Not happening.
YES BIGGER FASTER 500 FEET!!!! or.....maybe not
It's not true
Nah, 100% Nah
In September and October of 2022 they took down the top hat for a bit before rebuilding it so they would have extended the top hat already.
Wtf are you talking about
They didn't do that.
Eh that’s kind of reaching
Boom. 😉😊
waste of video
Thanks bud
Who cares bring us facts not speculations or what might be
pfftt
If only this were true!….❤️🎢
