For someone that didn't know how to cook pasta in previous years, how on earth did you discover you could fry a frozen egg? My mind is completely blown.
Nice video. To make the banana pancakes a little better, you can add cinnamon or cardamom to the flour, and if you want them fluffier, about a quarter of a teaspoon of baking soda or baking powder and a pinch of salt, or a little (half a teaspoon) of vanilla extract and/or a few tablespoons of yogurt to the mashed banana. Little things like onions and garlic add a lot of flavor, and a little bit of garlic goes a long way. Also dried onion, garlic powder, chilli, Italian seasoning, or a little bit of soy sauce or vinegar helps add flavor. Some supermarket store brand products are the same as branded because the supermarket's distributor buys from the same manufacturer.

10 Canadian dollars is only £5.75 so between the 3 shops Taz spent closer to $20. @@essiessiessi true, but we pay for it massively in other services and haven't gotten close to the infrastructure modeled in Canada. We have been living in austerity here for many many years. on the "does the kitchen affect how much you cook?" question : YEAP. I always thought that I loved cooking until I moved to a house with a smaaall kitchen and I almost didn't cook for a year and a half.
I learned to cook porridge in the microwave without overflowing through trial and error. First of all, use boiling water and let porridge sit for 3-5 minutes before cooking. Cook for whatever time you need, depending of your microwave settings, but in 30 seconds intervals. Adding sugar somehow helps too.
I learned a oatmeal trick from another UA-camr. He put his oatmeal in the microwave and set it to defrost for 10 minutes. It cooks perfectly without overflow.
GIRLLLL I really love u but the way you made that hummus 😱 u have to add some oil and water to make it creamy and some salt and pepper at least. On everything else you've done a good job 👏👏
This was great Taz. As a fellow it takes forever to cook person, I have afew tips to help things along; 1. Get a couple of tools. You mashed the potato with a fork, a masher will help. It's quicker to toast bread in a toaster, the oven takes forever. 2. You need liquid in a blender, that's why you had so much trouble with the hummus! 3. Multitask when cooking. It very much looks like you are doing some things step by step when you can do them at the same time. 4. Speed will come, especially if you can get quicker at prep. Hope this is actually helpful!
What I usually do to make porridge/oats sweeter is adding honey! Or buy frozen fruit and add it into the porridge as it cooks - neither are too expensive and makes it taste loads better!
Watching Taz over the years makes me feel like she's an elder sister to me who's teaching me life lessons in a weird way? Lmao I just wanted to say that I feel close to her tho I never met her in person (would LOVE meet her tho) LOVE YOU TAZ!!!!
Hi! Product developer here! Yes, it's true! In name brands you pay for packaging. Funny thing, many MANY of the foods without a namebrand are actually made in the namebrand factories. For example: hacendado pizza (the pizzas by Mercadona) are super cheap and are actually made by CASA TARRADELLAS a quite expensive brand. Hacendado pays to casa Tarradellas to buy their pizzas with a different packaging because that's cheaper than building a whole pizza factory.

Not gonna lie that porridge bowl is a piece of art that is.
I absolutely adore Taz and all her realness. Shes a breathe of fresh air.
you should definitely add a spoon of peanut butter to your porridge next time, it's amazing

you can actually see taz's growth in such challenge videos !!! she has really improved her cooking skills as well
11:16 “its really slippery and the SHARP is really KNIFE” factsssss
something I found out recently, Tuna in oil + spaghetti and a little bit of olive oil is amazing
you just cook the pasta like you normally would - boil water, add salt, add pasta, cook until al dente. Then just open a can of tuna, crush them to tiny chunks, add the pasta on it, add some olive oil. Mix, and voila. Tuna pasta. Seriously, it tastes amazing. I never expected it. Super simple, pretty cheap, really yummy!
Thank you Taz, for keeping us entertained during the hard times!
I think I like the postcard quotes with a coloured background
Finding out that Taz watched June's budgeteats videos is so trippy because i love June and her creative cooking. She really teaches us how to stretch budgets and make every dollar you spend count, and that food doesn't have to be expensive or fancy to taste good.
Taz is so inspiring in so many ways and I feel like she doesn’t realize it
Taz, I wonder how a £2 a day budget would work out? I feel like £2 a day is still extremely good value, maybe that little bit extra each day would lead to some improvement in the taste.
Yeah that would make a big difference to her meals and the taste x
taz u should put brown sugar in some porridge. also if u dont like milk almond milk is really good as well i would advise to get the vanilla flavour
@Sarah JLA And yet, I am still vitamin D deficient despite having a glass of milk every day 😂😂
@Sarah JLA More sunlight is kinda tricky haha, I’m Muslim so pretty much covered everywhere except my hands and face lol. I take supplements every week now though.
@@mendesarmy1235 haha same i literally had it 2 instead of a 30-100 and the only solution we came upon was me sitting in the sun for 30 minutes everyday 💀
@@Aditya-dc2mb Mine was 5 lol 😂. Also doesn’t help that I have lupus and sunlight actually triggers it 😁

TAZ YOU NEVER DISAPPOINT!
WE LOVE YOUUUU!🥰💜🌎✨
Poetry Prints suggestions: Write it in your handwriting, make it digital and print copies of it, instead of printing the quotes in Computer Fonts.
It makes it more authentic I believe..
That's a really nice idea, she has nice handwriting too!
Remember when taz found some kettle crisps on the street in the £1 challenge and ate them 😂😂✌🏻
Oh my god, i almost forgot about that moment XD
mad how it’s basically all vegan and vegetarian but ppl say they’re expensive diets oop 😳😳
Haha literally, I have been vegetarian for 13 years and my mum has been vegetarian since she was 15! She says it’s a lot of cheaper and healthier
yes, i thought the exact same thing :D
Well rest of the world isnt this cheap
vegans and veggies dont just want cheap frozen veg and cheap watery sauce though they still enjoy flavour and quality
Beans and rice get boring. A flavorful and varied vegan diet is definitely expensive.
This'd make an amazing quote for the poetry prints:
'You can be in a room full of people and still feel so alone.'
yess. id buy that one!!
isn't that a quote from billie eilish? also if she does end up selling them she might be sued or idk but its definitely not her quote xx

I’ve been looking for your channel for months because I forgot your name and I don’t think I had an account, but you popped up on my recommended and I’m so glad I found you because you just make me so happy and smile 😊! Love you Taz ❤️
Patiently waiting for a house make-over video.
For someone that didn't know how to cook pasta in previous years, how on earth did you discover you could fry a frozen egg?
My mind is completely blown.
Postcards are cute. and illustrations look with bigger frames.
I want a challenge where she lives on a certain super cheap daily or weekly budget but has to hit all of the food groups each day
Thanks Taz, I was sad 😭crying over my passed 💔away rescue pets. Then your video uploaded and helped distract my mind off my little passed away fur babies.🌈🐁😪🌈🐀💐

Thank you so much for mentioning the broke girl, embarrassment situation cause same but thank you so much for actually talking about this. I think it’s something a lot of people shy away from discussing. You’re awesome 🤩
Taz is the only UA-camr I can watch in front of my parents thank you taz ❤️❤️😂😂
In Canada, 10$ of grocery could get you maybe 3-4 things at the most omg
10 Canadian dollars is only £5.75 so between the 3 shops Taz spent closer to $20. Also she bought the majority in Lidl and Aldi which are budget supermarkets and even then she seemed to be choosing the cheapest options. If she had done her whole shop in Morrisons or somewhere like Tesco or Asda it would have cost a lot more.
@Linda Green exactly lmao
@@Harrison_J_T the exchange rate doesn’t matter. What matters is that in Canada you can’t shop for THAT MUCH food with only 10$ even at discounted stores Pft.
Right?! That amount of food would've cost at least 20 euros in Finland
@@essiessiessi true, but we pay for it massively in other services and haven't gotten close to the infrastructure modeled in Canada. We have been living in austerity here for many many years. Put simply if food isn't available that cheap here, at least half the population (if not more) would be struck terribly - putting pressure on drained resources. Its the only part of living here that isn't sub-par. All that said I totally appreciate where your coming from

I love your idea about the printed quotes! Please consider printing on environmentally-friendly paper :)
Thank you soo much Taz for making EVERYONES day!!!!!!!!!!! Who agrees?
Yesss me too 🙏🙏
I love the part where she said "this sharp is really knife", also video idea- 'Plan wearing different outfits out of 5 different clothing you have for each day for a week'
on the "does the kitchen affect how much you cook?" question : YEAP.
Taz has started doing such a variety since her older videos. So proud of you !
I learned a oatmeal trick from another UA-camr. He put his oatmeal in the microwave and set it to defrost for 10 minutes. It cooks perfectly without overflow.
I know it gets more too more volume have u noticed
Thank you, great hack
GIRLLLL I really love u but the way you made that hummus 😱 u have to add some oil and water to make it creamy and some salt and pepper at least. On everything else you've done a good job 👏👏
Finally, I love videos like this🤩😌
This was great Taz. As a fellow it takes forever to cook person, I have afew tips to help things along;
These videos are so helpful for those who are trying to adult in life! Also super entertaining. Thank you Taz, love you!
Our favorite series is back!
"This sharp is really knife" sums up just about how weird my brain has been this week
6:48 her handwriting is so neat and clean
Taz:"im not a good chef"
also taz: *cooks all day and night* "Idk why but I like cooking."
MISSED THIS CHALLENGE!
See Taz recommended June's video from Delish make me legitimatly wanna cry. My two fav people on YT 😭
I have not watched one of your videos for months, this is such a winner. Absolutely brilliant.
