US Navy Aircrew Training- Pensacola Helicopter Dunker

Pilots and Aircrew training simulating a water crash. Practiced several times in both day, and night conditions. I posted this for one of the trainees. Thanks for your service

Dang 30 years later i still feel the Anxiety we went through LOL But back in the 1980s they DROPED the Choper
and it hit hard in the water, i guess after a few people drown they lightened it up a little. We had a guy
in our Navy Rescue Swimmer School class drown, shut down the Pool for months.

My dad did this. He was a sars instructor. Senior chief. He's 75 now

Very rarely. There is pre testing leading up to this level, and safety is a priority, but it happens

Yes but it wasnt from the Dunker, it was in Rescue Swimmer Class,
