Allman Betts band were amazing in Boston; Possibly the best show I have ever been to. They're so lucky to have one of the best bass players alive to play with them.
I’m so happy for you Chris. What a wonderful venue to see the show. I’ve only been to the Ryman once, and it was such a magical place to see a show. The mother church really is sacred ground. 😊
🥰 OMGoodness … Founding Daddy’s so over the moon … And everything has been made so Betts right … Immortal now living on for many generations to come. Thank you so much for this stunning treasure!
Just saw these guys at the Northcote theatre,in Melbourne, they were bloody fantastic, better than i expected, those Allmans just keep producing guitar playing offspring, they are all great players too. Yeah a great gig lots of guests two hours , and sime fabulous music. Very impressive.
@@Music-Mystic333rite! Thank you for the assistance. I saw her play for Herbie Hancock!! She is a super heavyweight bass player in all areas. Bless you Tal.
@@Music-Mystic333 wow! Really? I used to jump fences to see the Allman brothers back in the day, whenever I was broke that is..! Yet I never knew that , even being a super fan. I appreciate you passing that on. ….Tom
Going to see them, Thursday in, you guessed it, Macon, Ga, where it all (and a few of them) began, in the Macon, Auditorium, the last place I saw the Brothers play... Hope they bring Jimmy (local to us if not on the road) and Tal (not local to us) along but we generally get Barry Oakley Junior on bass and Lamar Williams Junior singing, if we're lucky.! So I am debating if I should watch this now or not....I'll wait until this weekend....
Thanks for posting This ! I was at the Reading Pa. show on 11/30 and wanted to relive it. I took many pictures and several videos, but was happy to find a whole show here, to see again !!! Already anticipating next year.
Well, it was a blast! Your upload is great, but so much better live, as it should be. Devon's voice sounded much better too. I have seen 11 shows at this theater in 2023 and this was in the top two. @@Music-Mystic333
I love this! And I think it's great they're keeping the legacy of The Allman Brothers band alive! But yet people bad talk lynyrd Skynyrd as they're also keeping the music alive? It's a hypocritical situation! Which is bad cause that band is great with Johnny taking over from his brother.
Agreed. Of course there is a difference. The Allman Betts band honors the band and artistry of the band their fathers founded, but they also have their own bands with their own music. They are not trying to be the Allman Brothers Band. Today’s LS is obviously is not the same as the original band, and has largely become a very good cover band of the foundational LS musical cannon. The compositional genius of the band was never the same after the crash. They have turned out some solid tunes since then and have done a fine job of covering the original canon over the years, but with the passing of the original members over these years they are pretty much a cover band or perhaps to be more generous - a legacy band. There is nothing wrong with that, and as long as folks are still enjoying it, more power to them. I love that they still provide an opportunity to enjoy what I consider some of the greatest southern rock ever produced. Haha… turn it up!
@@Music-Mystic333 Agreed! But I like to call them a tribute band as cover bands don't record new music especially as good as what LS as done in the past ! I Really think they did an excellent job with the Last of A Dyin' Breed album as it was as close to what the original guys put out and a triumph for Johnny as he's been the band's focal point especially now with passing of Gary Rossington 💔😔 but I still think they deserve reconition for keeping the legacy and music alive for newer fans❤️🎸😎👍
Not to sound negative, I love the Allman Bros and family with all my heart, long time fan….but Devon can not sing to save his life! I’m shocked every time I hear him. There I said it…I’m sorry 😢
Yeah didn't mean to come across negatively there. They do the dad's terrific justice by keeping them alive this way and this recording of the whole show is top notch. I'd just rather hear them do their original stuff and think Devon and Duane are much better suited in that sound@@Music-Mystic333

I miss when great musicians children used to be innovative and take what their folks gave them to the next level. This generation of coattail rider musicians just doesn't do it for me personally.
I honestly don’t feel that’s a fair assessment friend. Both Duane and Devon have their own bands that record and tour original material. I and thousands of fans across the country are thrilled that they have taken time away from their bands to take up this occasional project of celebrating the music of their fathers. It’s unreasonable to suggest that they should be able to innovate new music to exceed the work of the greatest southern rock icons of all time if only they weren’t lazily riding their fathers’ coat tails. If it’s not your thing then don’t listen, but there is no reason to throw shade at the artistry of others that so many other people really enjoy. I am curious though, I would love to hear some examples of some of the artists to which you are referring; children of great musicians who innovated and took it to the next level?
I’m not sure what pleasure you derive from posting this negative comment here Robbie. Both Devon and Duane are talented musicians with their own bands with original music. They also have a commitment to honoring and keeping alive the musical heritage of their fathers by taking time away from their own bands to have these musical revival celebrations that are very well attended and appreciated by ABA fans across the nation. I don’t understand your desire to throw shade at such a beautiful endeavor.

Yes they are using The Brotherhood of Light for the visuals, which the Allman Brothers used at the height of their bands career.

They usually end the tour in San Francisco each year, but not even coming close to the west coast this year.
I love Tal's Jaco-style intro to Whipping Post.
Jackie G's voice on Melissa sounds like the perfect blend of Gregg and Dickey.
Why isn't Berry Duane Oakley (Raymond Berry Oakley's son) included? He's a great bass player in his own right.
And where is Berry Duane Oakley 🤔
A perfectly acceptable bar band...
Does anybody know if Tal Wilkenfeld is playing on the entire tour?
