I feel like the Buddha would approve of changing the breath to breathing deeply into the belly being mindful of how feels most comfortable if he had seen the recent National Institute of Health studies which showed significant blood pressure improvement and much evidence of many health benefits including psychological.
The first definition of breath is Spirit. Inspiration is inspiring. The Revelation of Jesus Christ to St John began when John was in the Spirit. Eve means breath, life in the original Hebrew which seems certainly to be an integral factor of the story. 🙏⚕️🙏

The best I’ve heard--clear,precise which is difficult to express this concept in words. In this presentation it feels you are meditating in the present with the explanation. As the words of this explanation flows through your being and you are listening attentively you become peace, calm, why? Because this explanation speaks “Truth” --ignorant,sleep, or awake this explanation of understanding the breath gives you the link to your true nature (soul)(spirit)

Great video. I am practicing annapana and vipasana since long and I also combine this few days with dynamic meditation as taught by Osho. Because we are living in this century and our minds are constantly bombarded with thoughts. Thoughts of fear, anxiety, depression, jealousy, hatred. First we need to expel all this garbage from our body through catheresis and once this garbage is out, we can easily dive into deeper dimensions of vipasana and annapana. Great love and respect to all meditators. It is the only path to connect with the Supreme Lord.

What's so fascinating about the breath is; it's the crux of who you are. Not the body, nor the mind. It's no wonder when you are born, they say it's like a breath of air falls into that human and before you die, it's like a breath of air rapidly leaves the body.
Also, in French, the word "L'esprit" [pronounced LEH-spree] means Mind (and sometimes Spirit) in English. "Respirer" is another French word [pronounced YEH-spee-EH] which means "Breathe" in English... then there is the English word "Respiratory" which has ties to the study of Pulmonology; which is the study of the respiratory system. It connotes to how air is compatible to the nose, mouth, throat, larynx, lungs and maybe our gastrointestinal tract.
The breath is also related to the word "Sperm" and even "Spine" or "Spinal Cord." When you nasal breathe or breathe through the nostril, it has a natural affect of straightening the Spine and when you are just a Sperm cell, you resemble a Spinal cord, which is linked to the nervous system, the neuro structure. Although, we are inside of a human suit, we're often said that the real us is our Spirit, which maybe is our Spine or Spinal cord. Similar to how people who practice spirituality will say that; spirituality is just another word for 'the Unseen.' What the naked eye cannot see and humans cannot see a Spinal cord, with the naked eye.
You are your breath. It's the first thing you do when you are born and the last thing you do, right before your body dies.

Our breath is actually the divinity breathing thru its creation, everyone and everything has to breath, even a rock has to breath, thru electromagnetism, and electricity is exhalation, maculine energy, and inhalation is femenine magnetism. The divine mother and the divine father, atoms are the electricity and magnetism joining at a certain frequency and vibration. So that is why everything has to breathe and has conciousness.

Exactly. Self trust is not something we do, it’s something we feel and have to speak out as every soul wants to be heard from unfelt desires from the past. It comes from within and arises from an innate belief in our ability to handle life and be okay in its circumstances, no matter the ups and downs as we release and breath out this thoughts that makes us in uncomfortable feelings and thoughts about ourselves and others in discomfort about our being in essence what is true love. Its in the breathing as emotions from the past letting go is breathing out as you speak out this feelings of disbelief😢, breath in and hold 12 seconds as you overwrite the old thoughts with new cells 😅 breath is two forces 1 sexual energy from the first chakras and 2 rewrite your DNA/rDNA as you inhale firmly and as slowly as you can breath out as you massage yourself in words with sensual unconditional love ❤ as you activate Al your senses and become more and more sensitiver…….it’s all in the breath and how the slower the better……is fully awareness

Very beautifully said.. I have meditated for hours, the reactive mind is very difficult to handle.. the more I calm myself down the more higher the challenges I face to control it further. this has become a challenge for me, because, I have faced challenges in life in the form of taking my kindness and love to the next level, When I come across a person who takes advantage of me, I stay with them and study them and see what is my capacity to bear the cruelty. When the cruelty becomes unbearable thats when I react. I have noticed my level of empathy, kindness and love has grown far far beyond what it was 10 years ago... I recently was hurt by an individual which caused several days of staying awake in the nights and analyzing my thoughts, how should I forgive such a person.. It all depends upon how much love we have for our creator, I cried like a small child for many days slowly absorbing this hurt. Suddenly something happened, I started to smile a lot more and started to make new friends.. I am still in the painful mode of recovery.. But this will never stop me from loving people unconditionally... my friends call me stupid.. I would rather be called stupid and remain wise... its a choice I have made.. when I die I am sure this is the only one thing which will make me smile..

I have been to some of the villages where the Buddha preached the four noble truths. I love his videos. I do research on how Buddhism disappeared in Bihar. I realized it never disappeared from Bihar. Buddhists simply failed to research Indian Buddhism. They looked at Buddhism through the sphere of their own cultures searching for only the Buddha. Buddha had a myriad of names in different villages according to his teachings there. Example. His favorite teaching was 'Lust and desire causes pain. Remove lust and desire, and pain is removed'. Translated into Bihari (where the Buddha story took place) it is DHUKH HARAN meaning to remove dukha. Three dozen villages pray to DUKH HARAN Baba. Its clear that DUKH HARAN Baba is none other than the Buddha. Problem is Buddhists are searching only for the Buddha. In the real Vaishali the Buddha begged for alms. The locals there pray to 'BHIKHAINI' Baba (Beggar Baba). Bhikhaini was mispronounced by Buddhists as Bhikshu. Who is BHIKHAINI Baba. The Buddha no doubt. But people are searching for a man called Buddha. In the real Vaishali, in Beluha the Buddha suffered a sickness and felt he had grown old. The locals pray to 'BURHA' Baba (Old Baba). Who is BURHA Baba. The Buddha no doubt. In the real Vaishali the Lichavies pressurized Buddha not to die. They trailed him to Bandagawan pressurizing him not to die. To put pressure in Hindi is DABESHWAR. Three dozen villages around the stupa where Buddha gave the Lichavies his patra, the villagers pray to Baba 'DABESHWAR NATH' meaning the man who won the pressurizing game. It was the the Buddha no doubt as he gave the Lichavies his patra and succeded in sending them back. But Buddhists are searching for the Buddha. Forgive me for commenting out of the topic. I just wanted to impart this information to you.

Thanks for understanding. You could have exclaimed that I was being rude by writing out of topic. I felt I was being rude. But my newfound knowledge was important and I feel it's my duty to somehow impart this to both Hindus and Buddhists.

7:09 How does this effect the mind?
When we focus on our breath. We give our mind something constant to anchor onto.
This steadies the mind. Calms the mental chatter and allows us to see things more clearly.

It was not Buddha who founded mindfulness and breathing techniques. Breathing techniques, Meditation & Yoga is all in this historical scripture of Sanathana Dharma or Hindu ancient scriptures & other ancient scriptures long before Buddhism branched out from Hinduism. It is by documented by Sage Pathanjali in his historic Yogasutras .Buddha practiced and preached it to his disciples.
Updated: please note, do not mean to offend anyone or start any discussions, I was merely trying to point out that meditation practices date back to Vedic Santana Dharma which is thousands of years old and predates Buddhism, Jainism, Daoism and other eastern religions that originated out of this ancient dharma. Also note, Sanatana dharma is way of spiritual living & not a religion.
Most followers of Sanatana Dharma never claim anything as theirs as it leads to ego which is #1 thing that they try to avoid. They mention that it was given to them to share with the world for its progression 🙏

Don't argue it's useless.if the method is in your books just produce it to the world and the world will accept it.and if it is there why it is not practised.just practice and get benefitted.

Curious then that it’s widely regarded that Pathanjali lived at least 200 years after Buddha!….and Pathanjali was influenced to give his 8 Ashtanga teachings in a similar model to the Buddhas 8 Noble Truths.

Breath meditation was there in pre Buddhist times correct, But you are missing a point,
It was used and as samatha meditation which helps to gain a high concentration, psychic powers and a heavenly birth.
Buddha searched for liberation from the cycle of birth and death. Buddha used breath meditation to practice Vipassana meditation which results in purity of mind and liberation. This is the unique feature of Buddha's teaching.🙏🙏🙏🙏🌷🌷🌷🙏🙏🙏🙏
Please practice and experience the difference.

Without doubt The Teachings of Bhuddha are sacrosanct, but to say that understanding and utilising the process of breath are his discovery is to do injustice to the techniques as explored by the Rishis and Munis who prefer not only him but are to incorporated in the psyche of his predecessors.
